I was a member of the FBC of the Grand Strand for a few years. When we first joined it was ok,…read morethey had a good balance of boat types, Center Consoles, Pontoon Boats, etc., and typically reservations was about 80% success for the time frame we wanted to use a boat. We started experiencing issues when they began an aggressive push for new members, showing up at local events and other places joining new members. They also started buying inexpensive smaller boats and pontoon boats, rather than the more expensive larger center console and dual console boats. Eventually, it got to the point where they had too many members, and not enough decent boats available. We could never reserve a boat we liked during the warmer months. It seems as though, the same small group of people kept them reserved all of the time. It was no longer worth the monthly fee, so we cancelled our membership. What good is a boat club, if you can never reserved a nice boat. It's a novel concept, but the number of decent boats to member ratio is not enough, if you like larger center consoles or dual console boats.

I really like the big dock and waterfront as it goes pretty far out on the water and is very peaceful and beautiful. Anybody interested in joining should not This man is extremely rude And I hope he does not treat everybody like this because he missed out On a sale when I was being nice to him. Extremely Unprofessional. The funny part is. I don't want anything to do with freedom boat club, but now I'm going to join freedom boat club. Today was a lighter day for me, with only a chef's salad with thick and delicious fried oysters.
