Went to the newly opened Reesha in Woodstock recently, and what a great experience it was! I showed Mr. Silver a picture of Jeff Bridges and told him to "make me look like that." He said "I got ya" and proceeded to do exactly that with my hair. I was however, disappointed he couldn't do more with my face. Guess they don't do plastic surgery. Got a call from them at 302 asking where I was. Said I was 5 min away. Got there and was then told I'd have to wait an hour for the next opening. Not even an apology. No thanks. Had an appt with Fred at 12:45pm. Walked in at 12:40pm, and told him that my appt is at 12:45pm. He proceeded to tell me that he had been running an hour behind on all appointments. I said, no worries - so 1:45pm works. He further proceeded to tell me - he has no appointments for today - and he is booked for the whole day. I asked him politely that if he is running an hour behind - why can I not be moved to 1:45pm - he told me that I can use one of the other barbers (Marhan). I didn't want to argue so I just went with Marhan, who did a fantastic job - and got tipped well. At the other end, when I was getting finished up - Mr Farhan (Fred) was not to be seen - he had no other appointments- so he just didn't want to take my 12:45pm appointment. Ridiculous and zero customer service! Will NEVER use these guys again because of Mr Farhan. Learn to respect everyone's time and appointments!! read more

I got a haircut and beard trim from Silver today. I kid you not when I say it's the best haircut I've had in the 29 years of my life! Ask for Silver when you come! As a secondary note, this is one of the cleanest barber shops I've been to...they take every precaution to make sure their tools are kept clean between people, and even for the same person! read more

This is the second time I have had to wait longer than 25 minutes for an appointment. I had it happen a year ago at this location and end up leaving and not coming back for a year. I gave them another try and it happened again. I have nothing against the haircut experience here. It was fine, but if an appointment is going to take longer, the time should be allotted correctly on the booking page. No apology given or a heads up that i would be waiting 30 extra minutes. WARNING this is no longer American barber shop, this is now "REESHA" barber shop the business has changed over management and they are all awful! I tried booking an appointment with Mr. Farhard on two separate occasions, he not only canceled last minute but tried giving me off to another barber simply because he did not want to just do a simple bead trim. He came up with excuses that he couldn't do it in the time that was scheduled, now given the app is the one who allots the time, it was clear he just wanted to leave early. He has wasted my time twice and could care less, being extremely rude about it. Save yourself some time and go somewhere else. read more

Let me start of by saying it is a nice shop and the vibes are nice. But they need to get better barbers. At least for African American people. I called and ask in person if they had experience in cutting black people hair and they said yes. Not saying they lied but they need to improve their standards on what a haircut for certain cultures looks like. I gave him a picture of my old haircut for reference and he cut it nothing like it. Got a father-son haircut from Lida here and was extremely pleased. She's always fast, accurate, and professional. The place itself is super-clean and even though we usually have an appointment, I've seen them handle plenty of walk-ins easily. I will continue to return due to the consistency of cut and the friendly stylists who know exactly what they're doing. Highly recommended. I see from previous review, I'm not alone in having a bad experience at this barber. My first trip (and last) was a disaster. I'll admit that I don't have the easiest hair to cut. As a result of this I know exactly what works for my head shape/hair and what does NOT. I asked the stylist to perform a very small trim in a specific area of my head. The stylist not only ignored my request she repeatedly "shaped" my cut against my wishes. When I told her that she was not to cut in that area she told me it was necessary to blend in the cut which I told her was going to screw up my cut. I should've walked out immediately, but it was too late. She did exactly the opposite of what I requested and I guess I'll be wearing a hat for a few weeks. Beware of this barber. read more

This is the second time we've tried to have our HS kid's hair cut here. Two different people, similar result. I should have been skeptical when the guy asked for a picture of what my son wanted the second we walked in the door. A trim and "he wants to have it messy and like this, so just keep the same shape" turned in to a total butcher job with super short sides and 3" at least cut off the top. My son tried to tell him multiple times "that's enough there" and he'd go away from that side and then go back. This one was worse than the other but neither were good. Kid was super ticked, rightfully so. Zero apology or accountability for it not being at all the same shape, regardless of length. It's the stylist/barber's job to say "I can't keep it that way unless we do this or that" etc...not just lop it off willie-nillie. Maybe he needs a picture to cut hair. So if you don't have one, I'd avoid. read more

To be honest, they fooled me by making my haircut seem well at first. Until I realized the lady grabbed the buzzers and started shaving my head to the point there was only two inches. Since my previous personal barber handed over his business to his son, it became less and less personal and more lie a great clips rotating out personnel like flavors of the month. So I tried Reesha which was really close to home. Loved the deco, not packed and met my current barber Mahnaz for the first and now every time. Got my style and gave it a bump. Meticulous to catch every hair out of place or not quite right and go over and over till it is. Always the same treatment a couple of years later and is always a pleasure to visit. When I first went here it was a good experience the very first time at this location. Now it's just become a complete disaster. I haven't been back here in a few months due to the destruction of my neck and face with a razor blade along with the cigarette smell on their fingertips. $50 to end up with a bunch of cuts to my neck, along with a $20 hair cut. Half the people who work here cannot do proper fade. So I go back thinking maybe the one guy who actually did an amazing job and did not cut me up at all will be back. I book an appointment go in. See the guy who cut my hair last time thankfully he is busy so I get another guy. He cannot cut my hair but can cut my hair(makes sense right, I was confused too). Doesn't do an awful job not the best. I say hey how are you with beards. Goes oh I'm great! Cuts me up just like the last guy!! Takes a towel out of the dirty bin and uses it after he just tossed it in there. The cigarette smell comes from this guys hands as well. Hair cut was again decent, beard and razor clean up...was terrible once again. Get this the price also went up. Online it did not say that so I paid $60 for a crap experience...I am baffled. I literally go to American barber for the hot shave and nice towel. I will not go to this location ever again or recommend them. I can get a better a better treatment at great clips for $20. This is not a barber shop this is a glorified great clips that overcharges for something they cannot do. If you can get your needs taken care of at great clips save your money and go on there. I like a great beard experience, hints why I tried coming here. Never again. read more
