Update: Carus Dental…read morecontacted me immediately after my review. They apologized for my previous experience with billing and informed me that the previous person in charge of billing, whom my initial review was primarily concerned with, is no longer with them. Belinda, the new billing manager, is a very friendly and considerate person. Speaking with her about my bill, she was very courteous and helpful and Carus Dental is much better off with her in charge, imo! Delilah with the central office reached out to me to see what could be done to remedy the situation and promised to email me an estimate of my next visit. She was too very helpful and kind about the situation. Good bushiness practices go a long way. Other dental practices would do well to have people working for them who are as professional and efficient as the people who work at Carus Dental's San Marcos location. ------------------------------------------------------ I asked before the visit for the person in charge of billing, Britney apparently, to let me know about all expenses that I would be charged for before the visit began; what was covered and what wouldn't be. The doctor requested certain x-rays that were not covered by my insurance which the billing failed to inform me about, again even though I'd asked her. Upon collection Brittney wasn't understanding about the situation at all and insisted that she had nothing to do with the fact that I was being left with this bill. She was pretty rude about it in fact and I found her to be very offensive.

I cancelled my future appointments with carus dental I had and will NOT be recommending them to my family, friends or coworkers moving forward.

I've been a patient for almost two years, and my teeth honestly feel like they're at their absolute best. As an avid coffee drinker, having white teeth matters to me--and their Zoom whitening service is AMAZING. The results are noticeable and long-lasting, and the process was comfortable and professional from start to finish. Their sweet RDA, Sara, was incredibly helpful, patient, and thorough!! What really sets this office apart is how attentive and proactive they are. During my last cleaning with Jordan (who is an extraordinary hygienist, btw,) I mentioned that I had recently learned I have sleep apnea and that a C-PAP machine wasn't a good fit for me. Dr. Ardita Ormeni took the time to listen and then created a custom oral appliance to help me sleep better--life-changing care that goes well beyond routine dentistry. The entire staff is friendly, personable, and genuinely caring. The office is beautiful, spotless, and equipped with modern, up-to-date technology, which makes every visit comfortable and reassuring. If you're looking for exceptional dental care, a warm and welcoming team, and truly personalized treatment, I highly recommend Park Family Dental. Your smile--and your overall health--will be in the best hands!

We had the BEST experience at Heart of Texas Oral Surgery/Bastrop Oral Surgery. We had seen Dr…read more Alford for a previous issue a couple of years ago, and he was honest with me and super knowledgeable. Last week Dr. Thaker removed my 14 year old's wisdom teeth. He answered all of my questions, and his confidence left me with zero worries about leaving my daughter in his care. Every single person in the office made us feel welcome, heard and cared for. Everything was explained in detail up front as well. On the day of surgery, my daughter expressed anxiety about anesthesia, and our nurse Taylor was exceptionally kind and walked her through each step. After the procedure, my daughter only wanted Taylor to comfort her, which says a great deal about her bedside manner. Despite being busy, she took the extra time to comfort and take care of my girl. We are a lifelong customer and will be back for anything our family needs in terms of oral and facial surgery. Thank y'all for everything.

First of all, the receptionist (Rebecca) was very kind, and the young woman named Taylor was the assistant to the surgeon and sat and asked so many good questions about my mom's medications (my mom is 87 and on a lot of them!) She was easy going and calmed my mom, who can get very anxious in new places. When Dr. Christopher Cason came into the exam room, he couldn't have been more present, considerate, and informative. Plus, he has a British accent and big, brown eyes and seemed very caring, if it's okay to say that about him :) Anyway, after discussing that my mom wouldn't be able to have general anesthesia -- due to the fact she is on blood thinners and takes prolia shots and it could cause severe problems -- I asked the doctor if she NEEDED to have her rear tooth removed as she wasn't having any difficulties nor pain because of it. Dr. Cason said it was NOT necessary, and if, in the future, it became a problem, we could always set up another time for surgery etc. I could see the relief on my mom's face when it was decided we would bypass this surgery. One more thing you should know: they do not accept Medicare at this business, so it saved my mom a lot of money because I don't know what it would have cost, but probably several thousand dollars. In summation, I would definitely return to this oral surgery place because these folks gained my TRUST AND RESPECT! Thank you Taylor, Rebecca and Dr. Cason!
