A special situation forced Jaffet into action on a Sunday morning. The timing might have irritated the neighbors, but I've been listening to them blowing leaves on Saturday mornings for years, so, it was payback time. As for the work: Jaffet carefully and thoroughly brush-cleaned our entire complex roof, did some minor patching, applied moss treatment, and cleaned our LeafGuard gutter apertures so thoroughly that one could eat off them, if that was one's thing. Pressure washed our neighbors roof. Tile looks great. They just sprayed all the debris on our roof, freshly painted siding, fence and windows. They absolutely made the most pathetic attempt possible to make it right with us. They do not care about tarping, caring for landscape or the houses near their job site. No remorse. This business submitted the low bid for pressure washing the sidewalk and walkway, and when owner Jaffet Jefferson came to assess the job, I found out RRC had pressure washed my neighbors' sidewalks too! Funny thing is I asked the HOA who I should call and they couldn't tell me. On the appointed date, the technician actually showed up ahead of time (good) and confirmed with me the details of the job. We had referred roof come out to do an estimate on cleaning our gutters. While doing the estimate they were able to unclog one of our gutters immediately. We then discussed potential issues with our gutters and they provided great insight into our options of how to fix them. Well this is not their specialty, they took the time to give us great insight. Since they really did not need to do additional work themselves they did not charge us For fixing/unclogging one gutter. Will absolutely utilize them for any other needs concerning our house. How many times do you request service and have to wait for a 2-4 hour window for people to arrive? Not with this company! They arrived on time in their masks, despite still having so much smoke in the air. We went over the estimate and expectations and an adjustment to the original estimate was made as a specific part was not available for the job but that did not impact the work. After completing the work we walked around the house so I was able to better understand what was done and what to look for over the next week or so to confirm that the moss on the roof was successfully eliminated. The crew did a great cleanup and not only are the roof and the gutters debris free but so is the entire area around the house. We are so pleased with the work done by Referred Roof Cleaning (RRC)!! They did a bunch of work. First, RRC installed a bunch of roof "permanent harness points" on our roof for our peace of mind for anyone who gets on our roof. It turns out this was a great decision because we were told one part of our roof is one of the steepest: level 5. Benjamin, even used them to rappel down the front of the roof to clean by the front gables. I was happy that they placed these points on the back of the house. Second, Charlie, and Jacob (day 1) and Benjamin (day 2) cleaned off the moss from our large, steep and multi-level roof scrubbing with stiff bristled scrub brushes on extension poles. This was a hard work. It was a big job and they were very thorough and worked in wind, cold and rain. Third, Benjamin inspected the roof and discovered 3 tile compromises at peaks where the tiles cracked apart. He repaired these with flashing. It was a huge convenience and relief to us to for him to repair them. Such a benefit!! Fourth, they treated the roof with a zinc product and guarantee their work for the roof to be free of moss for a year. Fifth, they cleaned the gutters, checked and blew out the downspouts. Finally, they cleaned up the moss that had blown to the patios, sidewalks and drive. We chatted a bit with the workers. The were very professional, intelligent and friendly. This work was not inexpensive yet, to us, a good value in many respects. We are super pleased with their work. I thought everyone at RRC was super great to work wit. I had sealed the corners of my gutters but I had 3 that were too high for me to get with a ladder and I knew I had 2 leaking. Jaffet came out, inspected and told me he could do this for $100 and the work was guaranteed. After sealing the gutters he asked me to watch them to see if there was any further leaking. One was sealed but another continued to leak. He came out to fix it but then it still continued to leak. He came out again and discovered some old caulking had come loose ( I am not sure why this wasn't removed initially) and was sure it was now fixed. Well, it is still leaking and actually it is leaking worse that before the repair. When I told him that it was still leaking, he refused to come out and referred me to a gutter company. That is not the "guarantee" I was expecting. I am out the $100 and have a worse problem...not happy. read more

DO NOT USE THESE THEIVES. I hired them to remove moss from my roof and clean the gutters. Several weeks after the job had been completed, I noted a mountain of debris in a gutter near a window. I contacted the manager and he came out to inspect, but insisted that the young men who had done the work had indeed cleaned my gutters. The manger then spent over one hour cleaning a FEW gutters, still insisting his workers had actually done it before. As the manager worked, I pulled a ladder out and inspected a lower gutter myself. A mound of leaves and SOIL plugged a drain. The rest of the gutter likewise showed no evidence that it had recently been cleaned. In addition to doing a remarkably inadequate and poor job, the manager was exceptionally rude to me and made no apology for the woefully pathetic performance of his employees. I'm appalled I spent $1500 for this and am now left to wonder what other services I PAID FOR they neglected to perform. read more

I accepted a bid from Referred for gutter cleaning and moss treatment of a 12 unit HOA. The week before the work was to be done I was called by another contractor and informed that the job had been given to him. Referred told me they had so much work that they had to refer some jobs to other vendors. The new vendor told me that the job was underbid and his quote was more than $500 higher. Because I had already told the other two bidders that we had accepted a bid, I felt obligated to get the work done before fall and do not have time to go through the bid process again. If the new vendor does a good job, I won't bother contacting Referred again. read more
