For starters, I DO NOT recommend this company. I was very surprised to see reviews above average on this business due to my experience. It was comforting when I first hired them to see the positive reviews, but when I examine further now, I wonder if it's because by the end of using the company, I can barely even talk further about them. So here I go.. I contacted them regarding installing a 12'x10' concrete pad and an overhang for my backyard to my residence. I saw the pictures and was in awe. In hindsight, I should have kept it moving. Nonetheless I reach out to one of the employees over a Facebook ad I saw and he gave me a fair estimate for the work. I almost immediately said yes and stopped contacting other contractors and companies. I sent pictures of what I envisioned and even a drawing to ensure I was communicating effectively. In turn, I was told I would eventually be contacted by staff. I waited to be contacted and wasn't within a week or so after being given an estimate. I then contacted the business directly and explained to them the estimate I received. Communication with this business was HORRENDOUS! It was frequently me following up to configure start dates and timelines. Nonetheless, the project was underway around May 1st or so depending on the weather. I was very excited and when the crew showed up, I found myself slightly more concerned. There was an advisement of possible damage to my garage pavement as concrete was being wheel barreled to the backyard. I said if any damage incurred, to let me know and they said they would. Luckily there no damage. I had work and I did not believe I needed to babysit a crew of people who knew what they were doing (presumably). So I left for work as they worked. After a few days of work, they informed me the project was complete. I did not think I would need to check every day after their work, so I tried to trust them. DO NOT TRUST THEM! My husband alerted me there was concrete splatter all on the back side of my house's newly added grey paint. You would think concrete would be difficult to see on top of grey paint, it absolutely was not difficult. To further complicate things, they didn't put concrete at a tilt slightly to avoid pooling water. My concrete slab pools directly in the middle of the concrete. Shortly after install, it also started to crack! But wait, there's more... The company decided to pour the leftover concrete over my river rock without even communicating to me they planned to dump the extra in my yard. If they would have told me, I had the perfect area they could have dumped it! My husband told me it was normal to pool off extra concrete but in a more subtle place of the yard. Not over river rock which is directly over my tree roots from a cherry tree. I immediately contacted the business and within a week received paperwork saying the project was complete. They were trying to have my complete this paperwork even though it was not complete! They agreed to come fix the issues finally after a little over a month goes by. The splatter, fixed. The concrete over river rock and tree, fixed. The pooling of water, NOT FIXED. So now I have to hire a company to fix the pooling of the water issue as the company advised they could not. They offered $200 off for the inconvenience. $200 for concrete work that elsewhere is going to cost me $1600 to fix. What an insult! They also offered to extend things such as the covering to cover the concrete for another $2800. They almost HAD ME! I wanted so badly to fix the concrete that I was willing to pay them more, to fix their mistakes. I am so disappointed with this company and lack of communication. They will get you with their great estimates but cannot follow through. Buyer beware! read more

Edger & Carlos were the workers who came out and slaved in the cold and rain to get our roof completely torn off and re-shingled in 4 days. Before that, we had holes and leaks, which my husband tried to repair himself (big mistake!). These guys did a wonderful job and it makes the house look new again. For the size of our house, $16,000 was a really good deal for a brand new roof! read more

I got a few bids to replace the back half of my Roof that was over 30 years old and leaking. We negotiated a fair price and the work was done in a timely manner. It turns out a few hidden problems were found and repaired at the agreed upon price. When they told me i needed to replace my skylight i was worried but after i called around and checked internet pricing and was happy to know they did not overcharge for it,s replacement. Honest company and Fantastic workmanship! The roof was properly re-flashed around the chimney and i was VERY happy. I used to be a contractor in my younger days and have seen some very shoddy work. FIVE STAR EXTERIORS have a very satisfied customer in me! I highly recommend them to anyone looking to re roof! read more

The roofing and framing went very well. The painter over sprayed our concrete, roof and new clear pine ceiling in several places. The office manager went missing for days on end if we left a question that was not a pleasant subject. The electrical was not to code. They didn't even bring double boxes or covers with them to the job. The dimmer switch which was a line item in the contract was not supplied either. The trim work was poor and the cutting tools used were not useful for cutting a straight cut over the sliding door. Very poor experience. read more

Edger and his crew did our roof the end of May. The crew removed our old roofing, cleaned up what ever didn't make it in the dumpster before leaving. They worked good together and were respectful not only to us but to each other. Very knowledgeable about roofing. They were here in the morning and done by dinner. The roof is beautiful and we have had several compliments on how good it looks. We had 2 contractors come out to bid on our patio extension with cover. We decided to go with Fivestar Exteriors. We had them come out give us their bid& after agreeing with their numbers we decided to pull the trigger to get it done! We told Carlos that we wanted to have an electrician to come out to add an electrical outlet added to the job. The Office person emailed us back & said there would be an additional charge off 299.00 charge on top of the 8200.00 bid? Yet we still agreed to the price! They set up a time for there electrician to come out. On the day he was to show up we got no call! So we called Fivestar to let them know that he never showed or called! She told us that he was no longer with the company. And said that they would send out another. So when the second electrician showed. He told us that he would call back to set up a time to do the install. However he called us back 3 weeks after the patio was done to do the work. And after the job was done we got rain and discovered that the didn't seal the gaps between the gutters & the fascia. So we called the office to let them know of the problem and the office girl said they would be out to remedy the problem! However that was a month ago!! And after several calls to them we still haven't had it fixed. And when I call them it goes straight to voicemail ? A word to all this is a company you don't want to business with!!! I was initially very pleased with the work of the crew on my roof until I found that they had not completed a portion of the work which was not obvious at the end of the job. I contacted Carlos many times to have them come out and correct the workmanship however, they never got back to me and did not take care of it. Not only do I expect the work to be done completely, I also expect the company to honor their warranty on their workmanship which is just as important. Unfortunately, they have never returned my calls nor came to repair their mistake. I will have to pay someone else on top of what I already paid to have my roof repaired. I would not use or recommend this company since they do not honor their warranty. read more
