I was recommended this place by a few coworkers. My favourite massage therapist is ill and can no longer work. I booked an appointment with this place and was told to book with Kara. Done. First of all the massage started 15 mins late. She took me to my room and had me wait on the bed for that long before she came back. Within 5 mins of her starting she asks me about me sex life. I was very stunned! She didn't even apologize or backtrack, she was totally serious about it. She then proceeds to share inappropriate things about her own and goes into explicit detail. I really didn't know what to say or do at that point so I froze. I went in for a 45 min massage and came out 80 mins later due to her constantly talking and not tracking time. I even told her I had to leave soon in hopes that she'll speed up but didn't happen. It wasn't until I got off the table that she clued in that I needed to leave. The good thing is that she didn't charge me extra but that's about it. She also did not know how to properly navigate her own computer so tracking insurance took forever too. I am still in utter disbelief with my experience. I have never ever experienced unprofessionalism to this extent. I'd understand a bit better if I were a long term client and friend however, I was a FIRST time client. Sad thing is this is one of the owners. I have spoken to a few people who have been there and have said they aren't surprised and have had similar experiences. I guess she does this normally. A former employee of the business also said they are very unsanitary and do not change the bedding in-between clients or sanitize the place. YUCK! I have been a patient of Dr V's for about 8 years. I truly believe that she saved my life. When my…read morefamily doctor said she was concerned about my kidney readings there was a very long silence as I waited to hear what she suggested be done to correct it. When it became obvious that she had nothing to offer, I asked if I should drink more water. Her reply was yes just drink more water. The way she said it did not leave me with the confidence that she was sure. I had never been to a Naturopath before but figured it would be worth trying. When Dr V looked at my blood work, she indicated that she understood why my doctor was concerned and indicated that my kidneys were dying. I asked if it was reversable to which she said of course. She set me up on a supplement and said it would take about 10 to 12 months to get my kidneys back to health. A year later my blood work showed that my kidneys were just about back to normal. Since that time each time I have my annual physical I take the bloodwork to Dr V for review and she has guided me through it with the answers I need to address the issues that show up in the blood. I am 68 years old and thanks to Dr V I am not on any of the medications my family doc has tried to get me on over the years. Each time a medication is suggested, I talk to Dr V and she has had the answer either through a supplement or a dietary change that corrects the issue. Most recently I asked her what is the next step in me being proactive in keeping my health instead of waiting for an issue to occur. I just completed a routine to reduce the plaque in my system. I absolutely feel the improvement in a number of the areas this process has said it will including reduced brain fog, more energy and so much more.
