It's tucked inside an older industrial-style building and shares space with a couple of antique-type shops, so it's not somewhere you'd likely just stumble upon. The coffee was great, and the staff were friendly and helpful. My wife ordered an iced "Reese in a Cup" and loved it. I went with a hot Cuban Kiss--a mix of cinnamon, vanilla, and white chocolate. It was good, but I'd probably try something different next time. Pricing was very reasonable compared to a lot of coffee spots these days. We also split a cinnamon roll that tasted homemade and was delicious. Overall, a great hidden gem and worth the stop.

Some were obviously regulars chatting it up with Ja'Lila while they sipped their drink. Another couple on a road trip stopped in on their way to the east coast for some coffees and to use the WiFi. Some were in and out. Steady flow. Everyone treated with respect and dignity whether you made a donation or not. Donations are pay what you want. I'm not a coffee drinker but my sister said it's good! I got hot chocolate. The hot chocolate is homemade and I got fresh whipped cream which was also homemade. Delicious! Can you get that at Starbucks? Just asking I wouldn't know. I no longer lived in South Bend but if I did this would be my new spot. The "cafe" itself is really tiny with 1 table available (to our surprise since we were meeting friends for coffee!). The business is mainly operating through online/worldwide orders of coffee beans/focaccia/other goodies. The owner decided to downsize from their original cafe that sat 100 guests to focus on their worldwide distribution of coffee. He was very kind and accommodating and gave us an extra stool so we can sit and chat while enjoying the delicious fresh brewed coffee! I tried the walnut roast blend with cream (no sugar) for about $3- ~ 16oz - 20 oz coffee! Not a bad deal at all. Again, I am not a coffee connoisseur, but the coffee was very smooth, nutty, and really intricate in flavor (delicious even without the sugar I'm used to having in order to mask the typical coffee taste!). You can buy fresh ground coffee (and I believe coffee beans) here at the store, or you can order online to have them ship it right to your door.
