My friend chose the Raspberry white mocha iced and a roasted pepper soup and grilled cheese. I chose a hot vanilla coconut latte and a sausage egg and cheddar panini. I am so bummed I did not take pictures per my normal! The panini was boxed to go, very generous in portion. Delicious. The roasted pepper soup was also good, very filling with a thick bisque like texture and lots of flavor. Her grilled cheese was a standard grilled cheese, gooey and fresh! Drinks: There was such beautiful pictures of lattes etc online, I received mine in a to go cup with no lid. They served our food at the table so I'm not sure why that happened. I consider myself a very versed coffee connoisseur, I had high hopes for this cafe! The latte was more milk and not enough espresso. It was like it was a shot short. The flavor of coconut was lacking to the point of non existent . I am positive I had an oops drink of the day. However I did taste my friend's raspberry white mocha, and the raspberry was so bright with great espresso flavor. She also was served in a paper to go cup instead of mug. The day we were there he was offering almost 20 varieties!! The smell of roasting beans was incredible! Hempton boasts a SCA professional coffee certification! The place has a rustic feel to it with handcrafted items in the entryway! The coffee bar features several hot pots of Java for sampling! The owner is happy to educate his customers on types of coffee , roasting and brewing techniques. You are encouraged to wonder around and observe the large bags of coffee obtained from around the world! Hempton is a real expert and coffee historian. Ask him about "cowboy coffee".
