I had my first ever visit at Stones River Dermatology office in Murfreesboro on 11/20/24. A small…read moregrowth on my chest was found and shaved off that day and sent out to lab for biopsy. On Monday, 11/25, I started calling the office and leaving voice messages requesting my results. My calls were never returned until 12/9. Unfortunatel, I was told I had a squamous cell cancer that needed to be removed. My appointment for excision was scheduled and performed on 12/16. I was also given an appointment for removal of stitches for 1/6/25. They would also let me know on the 6th how my margins looked so I would know if they got it all. Stitches were removed on 1/6. Unfortunately, they had not yet received results from lab. (Three weeks after surgery.) Again, I started calling the office on 1/9 to find out my results. Again, I had to leave voicemails at the office on multiple days - with no return call. Finally ... I received a call back from Danielle on 1/16. She called the Pathology lab herself and found out that my margins were clear. Thank goodness. My "far from glowing" review is due to lack of communication from this office. Multiple unanswered voice messages are unacceptable. Especially when I'm requesting results regarding skin cancer. It was mentioned to me that my calls were not returned expeditiously due to everything happening during the holidays. I might accept that excuse if I was just checking on my Vitamin D levels.

Multiple other children went back who arrived after me, which was frustrating. I was told by the front office staff that I was welcome to reschedule my appointment, after waiting an hour with my toddler and newborn, or I could wait, but they did not know how long it would be. I waited another 30 minutes with literal tears streaming down my face as I'm rocking my screaming newborn who's literally starving because she doesn't have any milk due to the long wait time. I was offered formula from the back, which is actually a kind offer, however my child doesn't take that formula. I never imagined the wait would be that long and I would need a second bottle. Multiple sick children came in and were coughing and sneezing in the tiny, and albeit dirty, waiting room. There is no separate area for well kids/people to sit so you are forced to share space with unwell children as well, which is not common in practices now days. I was very excited about finding this practice because it's closer to my home and also my younger daughter had her visit there the day before and the wait time was under 10 minutes. I was shocked with the outcome of today's events, especially since there was no explanation other than "we have multiple bookings to fit everyone in". I don't feel it's fair for me and my toddler and infant to sit waiting for 1.5 hours for providers to double book themselves. I will be reaching out to management to see how this can be rectified to not happen again. My review is edited to show my experience and will be updated after speaking with management.

This business "rubbed me the wrong way". I purchased a Groupon that was to include an exam,…read morex-rays, diagnosis, and a deep tissue massage. When I called to schedule the appointment, they required an immediate redemption of the coupon instead of redeeming at the time of service,. I was advised all three services had to be at different visits. I was able to negotiate the "diagnosis" and deep tissue massage both in one visit; however, they made it seem like this was a terrible inconvenience. When I arrived for the first appointment, the greeting was " I'll need to have your insurance card". I refused to provide, because I was there primarily for the deep tissue massage and my insurance doesn't cover that. The office team had a major discussion about what to do with that response and relented, though, the next obstacle was completing their six pages of intake forms. The forms were clearly for people that had chiropractic needs. I had never been to a chiropractor before, and, have never had back or neck pain, so this was another annoyance.. I completed the forms To indicate I had no pain. I'm not sure what a chiropractic exam looks like, But, I don't think I got one.Dr. Quinn; however, was able to interpret by the x-rays that I'm very close to requiring surgery and had the top five worst spines he's ever seen. Bones were almost fused together, my fingers and hands should've been numb, major arthritis and traumatic injuries were revealed from his perspective. I've been very blessed to never have any symptoms while being such a mess. He estimated it would take about 42 months of weekly visits to stop the progression. When I asked for copies of the x-rays or if I could just take a picture of them, he refused and said I must pay for those. Also, he refused to write down anything he was saying because, that would take an hour and a half to devise a "treatment plan". Silly me, I thought the Groupon included exam, x-rays, diagnosis, and deep tissue massage. Apparently, he feels the payment is for him to keep the x-rays and diagnosis to himself. The deep tissue massage was good quality. Dr. Quinn may be very competent, but, I wouldn't entrust him with my healthcare based on his greed, and scare tactics. He would be well served to encourage his patients that have such significant findings requiring extensive treatment, to get a second opinion. Probably, even from an orthopedic doctor that specializes in spines, etc. Instead, he was arrogant.
