I see there was a bad review. I have seen Jen do great work and fix many others mistakes. It's a sad fact that not everyone can be made happy. It's also a shame that that person was so glib in her bad review. Jen has many very happy customers who have only great things to say about her. Unfortunately, only this bad review is on there. This is a top notch salon. My wife and kids visit here frequently. They offer a wide variety of services such as hair cut for me, perm for my wife, hair cuts for kids and laser removal for my wife. DON'T!! I went in for color. My hair is blonde and I needed 2 things: one- cover the gray roots, two- lighten the hair underneath my highlights for less of a contrast. I presented a picture and explained that my hair lifts warm but I do no want brassy. The woman said no problem and I assumed it wasnt as this is her occupation. After an hour had elapsed she rinsed out the color and my gray was staring me in the face and my hair was still dark underneath the highlights. She consulted with the other "stylist" there only for her to say you can't deposit blonde on gray you can just camoflauge by hiding it. WHATTTTTT??? I've been doing this for years and I was embarrassed for both of them and their lack of knowledge. Stuck in the chair as I was I foolishly opted to allow the female to highlight my hair. First off she used bleach that had been sitting around from another client. I knew this because her cohort asked her if she wanted her to throw it out earlier but she said no, she had someone else coming in. OMG she used it on me. Next, she slopped the stuff on ARTLESSLY. Another hour later I was left with ORANGE highlights. The woman was obviously frustrated and wouldn't even finish drying my hair. When I got home I saw why she didn't want to dry it. I had horizontal LINES where she applied the bleach and a HUGE ORANGE BALL on the back of my head that looked like a bald spot! I can't fully express the ineptitude and the attitude I encountered here. I wouldn't be surprised if I found out neither of them had a license. read more
