I don't usually get my hair done at salons and I figured Rumors would be a fancier place to get a hair cut and get pampered. I had my hair done there a long time ago and at that time, I got a hair consultation before getting the cut and the girl was very good. I left there really loving my hair, but it his time, when the stylist called my name she immediately took me to get my hair washed and there was no consultation. As we were walking to the sink she asked me what I was getting done and I said I wanted to cut about 4 inches in the back and get curtain bangs and as I'm explaining how I wanted it, she cuts me off and goes yeah ok a cut and curtain bangs. So then she washed my hair and brought me to her chair. She cuts the 3-4 inches in the back super fast and then takes a few strands on the front of my face and cuts them straight across. I tell her the pieces are too thin and I wanted more hair to frame my face so then against her will she kinda takes a bit more hair and then again cuts it straight. Now, I have had curtain bangs before both done professionally and also cut by myself after watching tutorials and when you cut curtain bangs you do it in a layered way. Smaller on the inside and gradually longer to the outside so the fall across the cheek kind of a cascade. She just cut mine straight across. No layered look. No cascade. I literally could have done better myself at home but again, I wanted to get it done by a professional so they look even better than what I could do myself. This stylist looked rushed like she couldn't wait to get me off her chair. Once the cut was done, she proceeded to blow dry my hair but she never sectioned my hair to blow dry it. At every single other salon I've been to, every time they blow dry the hair, they always section it and put those sections up so they can dry the hair properly. This lady was just taking big chunks of my hair without sectioning it and blow drying it so fast and hard she was done in like 5 mins and I have thick hair so part of my hair still felt moist underneath. I never thought that going to a Salon like rumors, which can be much more expensive than other places and choosing a more experienced stylist, that I would leave the salon in much worse shape than anything I could've done myself at home. I guess it's time to find a better salon that doesn't make me feel like I'm bothering them when I tell them what I want to get done!!

It was nice and I was happy. I sent my daughter over for a manicure and she was charged $ 80.00 for a gel manicure. Included in this fee, is supposed to be a hand massage, which my daughter did NOT get. Unfortunately, one of the nails (on this regarded manicure-by Joan) came off either that same day or the next day. My daughter was very upset and called for an appointment to have the nail fixed. She was given an appointment with the woman who specializes in nails and this woman fixed her nail. The manicurist told my daughter that more of the nails were going to fall and she never should have had a gel manicure broker nails are too thin. My daughter was still upset because she paid $ 80.00 for what appeared to be a substandard manicure and called the salon again to complain-she felt she should not have been charged the full 80 dollars. She was told the owner would give her a call to discuss her concerns. This never happened-no one called her. I went back a few weeks later to get my hair done and I did not ask for a manicure. The hairdresser kept making comments about how great her manicures are. She must have given me this message 4-5 times. I didn't respond as it was obvious that she felt like she was right. Apparently, she is in the habit of giving gel manicures to people who shouldn't have them, not accepting any responsibility for a manicure that started falling apart within 24 hours all for the price of 80 dollars. No, I decided to write this review given the response of the hairdresser and the lack of response by the owner. Rather arrogant and egregious behaviour by both. I was happy with hair service, but not even that will get me to EVER go back.

(Keep in mind theres no chance of a 24 hour notice of cancellation). Appointment was made w the owner Stacy "ok we will see you tomorrow, if you need anything give us a call, bye" Also told her i was not getting text messages or emails from her. We had a 9 min conversation on the 14th trying to figure out why her system wasnt sending me messages, after her trying 3 times on the phone to send messages and me saying "no, didnt receive" Stacy said, "lemme try one more thing, adding she was changing something in her system to where my messages to/from were "being bumped back" . After changing a "setting, in her system," I received a text stating that i had an appointment at 10 am on Nov 15th. Nov 15th I spoke w Stacy at 10:10 am, (all records of phone dates and times) in my phone to back this up, telling her i was around the corner. She responded with a very UNPROFESSIONAL YELLING ATTITUDE AT HER PLACE OF BUSINESS, THAT she was not taking me. I had booked at LEAST an hour appointment for color and cut (trim, just ends) She said she marked me as a no show without a 48 hour cancellation. I responded, "fine i understand the color, but i still have 50 mins, she can do a trim" to which Stacy replied "no she books 45 mins for a hair cut and has someone coming in for color at 11 and its now 10:25...notice on call log it was 10:15 at that time. And that she could surely trim my ends in 45 mins . She denied my request. If she booked me for an hour (which is crazy to begin with as a brand new customer, 1 HOUR FOR CONSULT, COLOR AND CUT???? TO SAY THE LEAST, IF STYLIST COULD PERFORM ALL 3 OF THOSE SERVICES IN ONE HOUR, SHE COULD CLEARLY PERFORM A TRIM (NOT EVEN A FULL CUT) IN 50 MINUTES. Phone call ended I went to my bank to do errands , saw she charged me $72.50 as a NO SHOW. I took a picture of the clock on the banks wall that showed that Stacy stating on the phone that it changed to It was 10:30 and I was 30 mins late now, which the photo on the banks clock shows i was there, spoke to the manager about the charge and the time was 10:26 ??????? Keep in mind this was THE SECOND TIME SHE WITHDREW $72.50 FROM my account for a "no show" because she claims she did not receive my 48 hour cancellation on November 2nd for the 4ths appointment. My bank advised me that I was not present at the time of withdrawal and merchant did not "swipe" my card therefore was manually entered. The card, was "on file to hold appointment and would not be charged per Stacy at time of appointment made via phone, I advised her that i gave her that card because she wouldn't be charging anything and that I would be giving the stylist payment in cash. She advised me multiple times " THE CARD WILL NOT BE CHARGED ANYTHING" So after the first withdrawal of 72.50 i called mad that she WITHDREW money when 1) she had no authority to do so on that card 2) claims she did not receive my email per her website BUT received my email on November 13th asking for someone to call me and confirm what time my appointment was on the 15th???? Now VENDOR HAS WITHDREW 72.50 PLUS 72.50 FROM MY ACCOUNT UNAUTHORIZED AND ILLEGITIMATE CHARGES. BBB and ATTORNEY GENERAL contacted as well as disputes filed against this company! NEXT STEP WILL BE SMALL CLAIMS COURT WITH ALL OF MY DOCUMENTS! OWNER IS VERY RUDE, INDIGNANT, DISRESPECTFUL AND EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. I ADVISED STACY THAT I WAS RECORDING HER CALL AND HER RESPONSE WAS "DO NOT CALL HERE, I WILL CALL THE POLICE FOR HARRASSMENT, WHILE SHE WAS THE OWNER, YELLING IN FRONT OF HER VERY OWN CLIENTS" BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL WITH THIS SALON AND CHECK YOUR BANK ACCOUNTS!!!!!
