The surrounding area is beautiful, but it is obvious the facilities aren't as well kept as previous reviewers stated. The room could have been a lot cleaner. There was dust and spiderwebs, dirty floors, and dead bugs, among other issues. Management has placed paper signs throughout the room that are crumpled and falling off. The hot tub wasn't working. The owners of this establishment R and J make you feel very special. Dealing with the current (COVID-19) issues, they far exceeded state and customer expectations. We were personally shown our room and all that went with it. I can only imagine how difficult these times can be. It's a hideaway for adults to get some quiet time. This place is way better than a motel. There was 6 in our party and each room was very clean air conditioned, microwave and refrigerator. They have 2 gas grills you can use. A kitchen and large refrigerator you can use also. They have an outside hot tub also available. We would definitely stay there again. read more

We stayed in the River View Room for 4 nights for our 25th wedding anniversary. The pictures on their website presented the rooms and grounds well. We were not disappointed. Although they did not serve breakfast due to covid, they were warm and friendly. Jeff and Amanda are the new caretakers and we're responsive and helpful. There is a guest kitchen that is well furnished to prepare any meals. Our favorite night was barbecuing steaks and eating outside on one of the many tables. Jeff offered many suggestions of places to visit as he is very familiar with the area. We enjoyed every moment. The views of the river, the fishing, hiking and finding a nearby restaurant in Kooskia or Kamiah made our anniversary trip a delight! read more

This was one hotel on our bike trip that I would have wanted to stay a while in. This little inn is set on the hillside along the Clearwater River. You can hear it all night, in a good way. Each room is well decorated and warm. I will say that the ceiling was a little low for my brother but it just made it more cozy. We were able to store our bikes inside and we given hot cocoa upon arrival. So considerate. In the morning the breakfast on offer was amazing and included all kinds of food for picky eaters. What a wonderful "find" for our two nights on the Clearwater, which is under new ownership! My husband had spent many summer vacations in the area, fly-fishing his favorite three rivers (Lochsa, Selway, and Clearwater). I wanted to explore the area with him, complete with fly rods. This inn has spacious property and rooms, a deck with tables and a great view, very comfortable bed, air-conditioning, a full community kitchen and refrigerator, and even a washer and dryer. We were welcomed upon arrival by our incredible host, who chatted and laughed with us, advised us on the best fishing spots and restaurants, and made us feel right at home from the start. We have already started talking about returning again. There is another overnight resort option just down the road, and we considered it but found that (1) they had no air conditioning, and (2) their cancellation policy was zero refund unless canceled 30 days in advance . . . regardless of any emergency or even death. read more
