We had heard that the new owner was a jerk since we hadn't stayed here since it changed ownership, and they were right. If you are lucky enough to not have to interact with him, the hotel is a great spot to hold up for the night. Very good rates and the rooms are clean and comfy. Breakfast was ok - they had waffles, so it wasn't just a standard cereal and bagel breakfast. Won't stay here again unless it changes ownership again, however.

The beds weren't awful but I wouldn't call them comfortable. We were there 3 days and never had maid service even though we put the card out. We had to take our own garbage out and everyday we had to ask for towels and washcloths. When we left there was a giant pile of dirty damp towels and washcloths in the bathroom. One more thing, half of the tv stations were so static you couldn't watch them, not so important I know but we won't be staying there again.

The kids I saw loved it. Complaints made by others are mostly valid but relatively minor. Also very patriotic decor no doubt but in a good way. Nothing pushy or confrontational. Front Desk help I dealt with was professional. Nearby sister location is an unusually posh Super 8, also generally more expensive than its peers.

The bed was very comfortable, and the room was plenty quiet for getting great sleep. In the morning, they offered us some Covid-friendly breakfast packs, which were perfect for taking on the road with us. Strong, delicious coffee is always a plus, and theirs was great! They were very accommodating to our situation allowed a slightly earlier check in (we needed hot showers!), a ground floor room due to my broken leg and willingly extended our stay when there was no signs of power restoration at home. This is an older motel, but new owners have acquired it since being here two years ago. Very friendly and courteous staff. Rooms are recently remodeled, and not sure if all of them have been completed. Bed is vey comfortable to which my aching back thoroughly enjoys. All rooms have outside doors and there is no elevator. Place can be very busy with workers such as myself or fisherman, so parking in front of the motel can fill up quickly by 5 PM. There is a parking lot across the street for the Ponderosa restaurant which seems to get used for the motel as well if needed. We've parked our larger trucks over there with no hassle. Park in the row closest to the motel. Rooms for us were roughly $70 a night during this End of July week. So not really a bad deal. There is no Breakfast served here, but there are two local places to eat that I've tried that serve a decent breakfast.

Decent WiFi, water pressure was good, park was clean, and the owners were pleasant and friendly...and is the ONLY reason they're getting a second star. Something changed roundabout June of 2022. The owners became either unable or unwilling to communicate like adults, locking tenants out of the restrooms, and generally making existence in this RV park uncomfortable for anyone with children. The locking out of the restrooms did not extend to all residents, only those with children, as per my experience and those of other parents there at the time with whom I've spoken. When we decided it was time to leave, we did get what was left of our deposit back, though it took them almost a solid month to do so. This place is okay for single people, retirees, or people passing through...but if you have another option, regardless of your circumstances, I very highly recommend you exercise those other options. If you're going to treat people like they're in a snobby RV resort and don't belong, then perhaps run an RV resort, and not an RV park with shitty gravel and no grass. Go elsewhere if you can.
