I found this place on yelp, which rarely steers me wrong. I emailed several places on yelp asking for a quote. I received several for $100 and one for $115 but I went with this place at $160 because they were mobile and had the first appointment available. In the message, I was quoted $160 depending on condition of the car and "color combination" of the vehicle. I was forthcoming about the car being dirty. I had a family member in the hospital and my son & drove for 16 hours straight to Albuquerque & back with my puppy, who had gotten mud in the car. I told the owner via email that it would need to be shampooed and asked what "color combination" meant. At no point was I told that it would be extra and my question about color combination was ignored. When he showed up 20 minutes late, he raised the price to $200, leaving me with the option to either pay more (which I already was by $60) or not have my car cleaned today, which I really needed, hence why I was paying more in the first place. I received a text at 830 am while I was on a conference call for work, telling me that my car was "beat up" and that the price was now $200. I texted him that I was on a business call and would go with another company. He insisted that I come outside to talk to him and I had to put my boss on hold only for him to ask me again to pay more. He stated that the prices vary from city to city so I showed him 3 quotes that received for $100 and $115 from Oakland, Lafayette and Belmont. He then conceded that prices range from $125-$250 and that his price ($200) was "right in between that". However, $200 is NOT in between and is something he should've told me from the beginning. I strongly suspect that this is a common tactic that he uses and I told him what I had previously texted him- that I would be doing business elsewhere based on principle alone. He never once apologized for what he called his "unclear wording" or the fact that his lack of transparency caused me to miss an available appointment with another company and not be able to have my car detailed until my next day off, which was not until Saturday and I had to pay $30 to take it to the car wash until I could have it more thoroughly cleaned by an honest company. My hope is that this review will bring awareness to the next customer that he does this to and that they will speak up, rather than just pay, which I assume he is used to having happen, based on his response to me in regard to the matter. I will not be doing business with this dishonest company nor referring them to anyone. read more

He of course arrived on time, that is a given, he also has a great attitude, but, that also should be a given. But he treated my BMW as if it were his, took great care to make sure he pointed out areas I can make it better (And at low cost), and was sure to do a recap afterwards. Darrel and Santiago are class acts and stand behind their work. I reached out to RMD about a month ago as we were getting ready to sell our car. Darrel asked for pictures and was honest about what he could and could not do, and fit me in right away. But.... then our new car didn't show up and we needed to hand onto our old car for a few more weeks. Darrel was super understanding and then when our new car came, he fit us in right away. Santiago was on time and we walked through the car. There was a stain on my tan headliner and Santiago suspected it was glue (which was improperly applied by the manufacturer). He said he would try his best. He worked for hours - got rid of the stain, buffed out 2 scratches, and gave the inside and outside a nice wash. It's beautiful and ready to sell tomorrow. Darrel just got done detailing my 2012 Black Chevy Camaro...Wow. Showed up on time, very professional. Loved how he asks a lot of questions before he touches the car and asked what I am looking for as a customer so he can use the right products. I definitely didn't feel like he was just doing another "express special", swipe my credit card and head off--no he was very methodical and buffed a ton of the annoying scratches and swirls that are so prominent in a black car. Right away he could tell that my rear/trunk exterior needed the more intensive buffering and waxing then the front so he worked out a deal for me where he would use the higher quality work done on where it was needed and did less in places I did not need which saved me a ton of money, especially since I am selling this car. Again, very impressed. He removed a lot more scratches and swirls than I expected, the car looks great; very pleased with his flexible pricing when it came to what I needed for my situation rather than strong arming me into the more expensive package. Messaged with Darrel regarding a 13 year old Lexus rx350 in bad shape. Was stolen and found then lent out to siblings that don't think car maintenance includes the interior cleanliness. I hadn't been in the car since the last time I needed to borrow it from my mom which was before it was stolen and when I detailed it. So I was not surprised on the filth it collected in that period as i can honestly say no one else had cleaned it since. Not even after it was stolen and then found. Ew. I literally felt dirty just sitting in it. Not a clean surface in the car. Millimeters of dust on the dash, dirt and grime in every nook and cranny. Darrel and his tech Santiago were able to come out right away (a day or 2?) and got it into pretty good shape! Considering the age and previous maintenance I was excited on how clean the car was able to get! I had them come back a few days later to do my 5 year old platinum expedition. Santiago pointed a few scratches that he was able to buff out and the interior of my car looks smells and feels clean again. It needed a good vacuum and someone that cared to clean every surface. They did all that and took about 3 hours to do a job well done (both times). I highly recommend these guys; you will not be disappointed and they will make sure you're happy with their results. They will have you inspect the car and go over it with them; If you find anything that they missed or that you might want redone; they will fix that for you. They'll point out if you need some touch up paint and will do that for you too. They care about the job and making the cars look fantastic and will meet if not exceed your expectations! Love that they are a mobile service so that it's basically contactless and no need to wait for your car to finish up. You get the luxury to be at home to do what you need. Do not waste your time with other mobile services or other car washes. Their attention to detail and customer service is beyond any experience I've had at other car washes and another mobile car detailer. Looking forward to texting them again when the SUVs need a clean! Cost wise they are @$150 for interior detailing or so depending on how much work it needs (the Lexus was more) but the value is there. read more
