The follow-up communication was not very good and I was left confused about why they were insisting on additional treatment that I had not requested. My impression was that they were trying to "milk" my insurance provider for everything they could get. I canceled a further follow-up appointment. They then sent me a registered letter that was somewhat threatening that I was endangering my health by not allowing them to treat me. I did send them a response letter in which I agreed to one additional visit so that they could review what had been done. I specified how I wished to be contacted but, after several weeks, they have not responded.

I developed an infection in the burns which required topical antibiotics, and an actual dermatologist. I am now left with permanent hypo and hyper pigmentation & areas of "striping". Dr. Guzman was adamant that this can happen & that I had signed paperwork acknowledging that, and that she would not offer any type of refund, or reparative services for permanent damage caused. This was a mistake made by a practitioner that was new to the machine, & the way it was handled was just awful. They offered zero acknowledgement of fault, or support to the client. She said "let's try another and go from there". Stupidly, I went along with it. I regret it terribly and are sharing pictures so you can see the damage that has been done. The first picture was in September of last year. The second and third pictures were taken today, 7 months later, after two laser "treatments". She never called in the doctor for consultation, and she didn't know what hydroquinone was (huge red flag for those who are experiencing melasma).
