The gold crown that Edmund put into my mouth was a knock off just like I feared. I had trouble when Edmund tried to give me homemade Invisalign retainers and I called him on it. After that when I let him to do crowns for me, he substituted one good crown for one made of a rougher material with a more primitive finish. I worried at the time that he had found another cost saving deception to pass on to me but I had no proof until the crown started to deteriorate last year. It's almost all the way Crumbed by now. Clearly not what I paid for. Again. Be careful of cost saving substitutions with Dr. Eaves. I didn't get what I paid for. Not with the Invisalign either. They etched my teeth and the lack of authorized retainers has made that a poor investment as well. read more

Dr Sai and his staff are top notch pros. I had a broken crown and while I had no pain I knew not to leave it unrepaired. After searching all around the Finger Lakes, I found Eaves Dental was available to see me as a new patient. Other practices had 4 month waiting lists or did not do crown replacement. Granted I have one of the crappiest dental plans around so I was limited to who I could see. Everyone in the office works to put the patient at ease. Dr. Sai Guduru is compassionate and professional. He explains everything he is doing, puts you at ease and has a great sense of humor. I have a repaired tooth, new temp crown while permanent is on order. My husband and I, as my husbands always says, are allergic to pain and needles. Dr. Sai is very professional. He handles much more than what a general dentist usually handles. He made both my husband and I comfortable with our procedures. He explains everything he is going to do and why. He is most concerned about a good result. Watch your purse. Be ready for smiles and revenge if you complain about dishonesty. Dr. Ed gave me off brand retainers he designed from rubber and got made at a local lab, although I paid for the brand name. I still have the box the fakes came in and the molds of my teeth that he sent to them. When I complained, Dr. Ed tried to change the terms and charge me more but I had asked a lot of questions about the costs so I knew what I paid for. He didn't care that the fake retainers were made of very flexible, stinky, bubbly rubber that would not hold teeth. He didn't care that my 6,000$ investment would be wasted, but it was my money so I did. I confronted him. He ordered the proper retainers, but swapped out a good crown for a homemade-looking temporary crown. I noticed the low quality, but he denied it. The crappy awkward crown is breaking up in my mouth and needs early replacement so I know it was a swap to a cheaper material-- like with the retainers. Dr. Ed sold me one thing and delivered another. When confronted him, he got angry, and retaliated by putting an inferior crown on my molar. When I noticed the crown was a substitute, he denied it. So I waited for the proof. That funny looking crown requires early replacement. It was a low quality piece at top price, just like those first retainers. If you invest money in your teeth, you lose with Dr. Ed. Also, Dr Ed has very large hands. He can't help that but it matters. read more

Paid out 19,000 for crowns and posts , bridge ect. . That was December 2013. Paid cash ,was lucky to have it ,I have no insurance. It is September 2015 ,last month a post broke and a crown is loose. Dr. Ed wants to fix it to the tune of nearly 5 gs. near 4 gs if I want a bridge. He only offers to deduct 800.00. that much for one tooth? Im sorry ,but I am not a cash cow. Im sorry I let 1 800 Dentist lead me here. Yes it is cosmetic dentistry , my replacements and work was a necessity . Those charges ridiculous . TO TOP IT OFF THAT OFFICE COULD CARE LESS. It costs more but you get your monies worth.Very experienced Medical Professionals, very professional staff, better materials, modern facility, and if anything goes bad they fix it and adjust the prices. I have had Crowns, Cavities, and Implants done here as well as cleaning and some other small things. I have gone to the cheap places before. The work did not last 2 years. Most of the expensive stuff I have done here has a lifetime guarantee. I understand some people just can't pay for the higher price. If you can swing it, this is the place I would go in this area. read more

While on vacation near Penn Yan (right before 4th of July weekend, no less), my husband came down with an infection from a recent extraction and implant hardware placement. He was in agony. Eaves was able to get us in quickly, and got him on the anitbiotics he needed to get the infection under control. We are so grateful that they were able to fit us in, and they took great care of my husband. If we lived in Penn Yan, they would definitely be our regular dentist. All of the staff are fabulous! HORRIBLE!!!!!! My 7 year old child needed an extraction. Both my husband and myself called and confirmed that they tended children AND used gas to relax them. So, I made an appointment. Upon taking her, when we arrived, there were two ladies in the room, and then the dentist showed up. NOW, anyone who has children and has taken them to a GOOD dentist that actually cares, knows very well that the dentist will talk to the child to try to relax them. Such as, how old are you, what grade are you in, what do you like to do.....anything of that sort to make the child comfortable and feel at ease. This dentist, Dr. Catherine Telehany, walked in and said, Hi, nice to meet you. That was it, and she was in her mouth. None of the staff were speaking, although three were there! She began to numb my daughter's mouth, all at once, it hit me...they aren't getting any gas!!!! So, when the doc walked out, (reason unknown, as she doesn't speak), I said to my husband and the two staff, wait, wasn't she supposed to get gas?? Why doesn't she have gas?? My husband responded with, "I thought so", the staff just say there. So, I looked at them and said, "anyone, hello..., anyone???" trying to get them to respond. Then they both began fumbling over their words and saying, "um, I don't know, we have no idea", responses as such. So upon the dentist return, I spoke up again and said, " I was told, she would have gas, she is only 7 and has never had dental work done without it". The dentist glared at me and proceeded back to my daughter's mouth mumbling, "she's fine, the worst is over and maybe if they didn't allow parents in here, the kids wouldn't be so uncomfortable." So, with that note, I said, "wait, so you aren't going to give her gas?" and repeated the fact about my 7 year old never having dental work done without it!!! Dr. Catherine Telehany then got up, and walked out of the room, while I was in the middle of a sentence!!!!! She did not say one word!!!!!!!!!!! So, I said, "did she just walk out in the middle of me talking, how rude!!!!!". By this time, my daughter was "zoning". Meaning, not speaking and staring off into space, and looked as though she was going to start bawling at any second. The, "dentist", then returned but not alone. There was a man with her that stood in the hallway, staring at me. And I thought, are you kidding me? She felt threatened because I was asking questions? I wasn't violent, I wasn't even yelling or threatening anything. I just sat in the chair holding my daughter's hand. She then proceeded to try and go back in her mouth and I again spoke up and said, "Could you please explain to her what you are doing?", "Why aren't you talking?" The "dentist" then, finally spoke!!!! She turned and glared at me and said, "I was going to talk to her!". I said, "ok, but, you weren't.", " you can't just go into her mouth when she is upset and don't say a word.". Dr. Catherine Telehany then got up and walked out yet, again. REALLY?? Upon her return, she said she was done and I agreed. I then said, "should she have an antibiotic so she doesn't get an infection while I find a new dentist??". And yet AGAIN, she walked out without saying a word!!!! NOT A WORD!!!! I then scooped up my daughter, I asked the assistant about antibiotic which she deemed, "not necessary" and we left! So, all in all, this is a young, new dentist, and I am thinking she should have considered a different career path!!!!! This "girl" has absolutely NO, NONE, NADA patience, with her patients!!!!! She is rude and miserable! She had done a lot more maturing before taking on a job that deals with people!! OR honestly, if you HATE KIDS, don't work on them!!!!!!!!
