I have been visiting the Refuel gas station at this address for 3+ years now and within the last year or close to, the manager there has showed nothing but rudeness, disrespect and noticed prejudice. When is in sight, she never says hello, if your of color she acts as though your not there most of the times. When ever she is the cashier, she never exchanges your items or receipt, change to your hand, it's always placed on the counter. This has been going on since Mrs D was there and was reported to her. Last week there was a line the was near the cooler and she came to the door behind where the microwave was and turned around when she saw the line. She finally came out when she saw white man at the end of the line and took him before the next customer in line. She then took about 3 other customers and left the young lady with still about 7 customers. Today, I was the only customer in the store, she got my lottery tickets with an attitude and started ringing them. A young white girl came in and she stop helping me to ring her up and when i said something, she said the company doesn't make money from lottery but made $2.49 from a coke sale. I addressed her in this matter and she clearly stated that my lottery money meant nothing to Refuel. As I am telling her that she is wrong and prejudice, she told me I can take my money elsewhere. This woman is never nice. Her behavior is never pleasant. The employees complain about her and says the complaints are never dealt with. There are several great people that were there left because of her. I need help to understand how and why is she still there. I know that I am not the only person that complains because there are several customers that I have seen at Parkers that says she is the reason why they don't come there anymore. In having a conversation with a white patron, he noted the phone number to call was on the door. He also stated that he says he has complained because of her behavior. I use to love going to this gas station. I stopped at one point because of this and went back because of the people there that are really nice and have great attitudes and great customer service. Today, she took me there where I told her she was mean, prejudice and just a Bitch and for no reason. This gas station is going to loose way more customers if she is not replaced. If nothing is done, i will continue to post to my social media. There is a young guy and another cashier there that are soooooo pleasant and is ALWAYS willing to help even some customers appear grumpy and they are the reasons why some still come there. I know I am just one person complaining but I spend $50+ when I come there each day sometimes 5 days a week. read more

Refuel on Mary After Avenue in West Ashley is a convenient stop for gas, snacks, and drinks when you are on the move and need to make that stop. They have everything that you need for good prices here. The staff here is very friendly and efficient at keeping everything moving. read more

Not a fan of this gas station. It's the most expensive gas in the Charleston area, but I guess with it being close to 526 (but still pretty far from 526), they can charge what they want. The gas stations on Hwy 17, the next 526 exit, are a lot more reasonable. I also feel like the food here isn't a good deal either, but they do have a cool soda fountain with flavors and a large selection of food, along with a walk-in beer room. But, with gas being so expensive here we usually just avoid it. read more

Do not purchase a monthly car wash pass from Refuel. I tried to sign up for monthly car wash at the wash machine in west Ashley. My card got charged but it signed me up under someone else's name and license plate number. I can't use the wash. I've emailed them 3 times and called the corporate office at least twice and only getting the runaround. Nobody will help me. The car wash part of their website to manage my plan is always not working. And I could not cancel from the kiosk or even use the wash when I went back. I should not have to pay 19.99 for something I can't get and then be charged again every month for something I can't get nor cancel because of their deficiencies. I finally resorted to filing a disputed charge w my bank. It's ridiculous that they are running this scam on car washes!!! read more

Great for a convenience store - super friendly and happy staff is what makes the difference here. I've stopped in before my shift for the past few days and Ray always has a smile and seems happy to see everyone (a rarity now it seems). Lots of cold drink options (alcoholic and non) along with snacks (healthy and not) to power you through. Easy parking and lots of gas pumps. read more

Well-stocked convenience store and a decent enough gas station I would give it five stars if the gas prices were a little bit lower but I will say that the staff is always nice the bathrooms are clean and it's a nice little convenience store read more

Purchased by Refuel late 2014, a local company with competitive pricing. These guys run very nice stores and this one now looks great and the gas is cheap too. read more

The pumps never have paper for receipts so if you need to keep up with them be prepared to go inside. It's a royal pain after working a 12h night shift. Keep in mind that you will need that receipt if you purchase a car wash. I'm convinced it's just a ruse to get you inside in hopes you will purchase something in the convenience store. read more

I love West Ashley Refuel!! Nice store with awesome customer service! Gas prices are great too!

New owners are running this store. Going much better and prices for gas are way better than previous owners. Clean and good food!
