This is a wonderful Walgreens in the heart of Charleston's historic district. They have a little bit of everything here and more! I read one prior reviewer note they allowed her to bring her dog in the store - a perk for dog lovers. Typical Walgreens they have some different options beach wear, some local clothing/snacks. It was actually a life saver because all the grocery stores close early due to covid and this was the only place open where you can grab a variety of things. 4 stars only because it's more pricey then your average Walgreens. This Walgreens is located in the heart of downtown Charleston across from Marion Square. It's open 24/7 and offers everything you'd expect. It opened in the past couple of years and has a contemporary urban design. Efforts were made to acknowledge its unique location in the midst of all the historic buildings nearby which is a nice touch. This was done through the use of pictures on the walls of what old their stores looked like back around the time Walgreens was first founded in 1901 back in Chicago. read more

Walgreens King Street Market is a great place for all the necessities you need to get by. It is centrally located in the middle of Charleston at King and Calhoun Street so it it easy to walk to from everywhere. I like that they have a food and drink section that has a lot of the essentials. It also has a Charleston local gift section for Charleston gifts that are at better prices than some other local stores. I needed to get a passport photo so I can continue being international and they took care of me right away with no wait. This Walgreens is one of my favorites. read more

I was literally dying for a place to use the bathroom. I came in to buy stuff earlier in the morning and later that day I really needed to use the bathroom. I had a friend say that someone allowed him to use the bathroom but when I went it I was denied that there was any bathroom at all by a lady. I was down here for vacation and honestly been welcomed by many friendly people but definitely not in there. read more

So I love how big the drugstore is and how much stuff the other fellow Walgreens doesn't have but it's still not my favorite. I'll go here if I have to but here are some of the flaws. It looks like it's gonna shut down like tomorrow. They have generators all over and the lights flickering so much that someone could have a sezure. I'm pretty sure they have these problems because of how big the drugstore is and that they aren't probably not making enough money that they need. Also the lines are extremely long since there are barely any cashiers available most of the time. This is my critique of the Walgreens on king street. read more

Very convenient location. Since this place is new, obviously very clean and well stacked. This could be a very good alternative to other shops for your late night shopping. They do offer some goodies such as a frozen yogurt machine with some interesting flavors, a Starbucks coffee brewing machine, and a snack bar. Prices are ok for the convenience and location in my opinion. read more

I have used this location twice in a few days while here on vacation. Not sure if this is a South Carolina thing or something just at this store....it is impossible to get a receipt! First time I was told I would get an email - which I never received. Second time I asked the cashier and he had to call a manager (name was Yvette) who told me they can't print me a receipt....what? First off - you need to call a manager and hold up the line for a paper receipt?? Seriously??!! Best part she wasn't even nice about it - said no before she she even heard the request - no apology for the inconvenience- nada. read more

Just left at 3:57 pm. I counted 20 separate people in line and 1 cashier. I saw the manager and another associate in the store organizing.... How about customer service? The cashier was ringing up the next person BEFORE finishing with the current one, not giving out receipts, and rolling her eyes at everyone. Get some better help!! read more

We ran into Walgreens to grab some shampoo and conditioner for my daughter as we forgot them on the way down here. I saw that my favorite rose was only $12.99 and I decided to grab a bottle. I get to the register to pay for everything and the cashier tells me that she'll have to call her manager as they can not sell me my rose if my daughter is with me and under 21....huh??? So the manager comes and right from the start is rude and condescending. He tells me that my daughter looks like she could be 21 and he will not allow me to buy it with her being with me. I asked him where I was supposed to send my daughter and I couldn't understand why I couldn't buy myself something. He refused and asked me to leave the store. I am honestly dumbfounded! It's 80 degrees outside and humid and apparently I was supposed to have my daughter stay outside while I tried to by rose. Very disappointed! read more

The best Walgreens/pharmacy experience every time when visiting this location!! The two pharmacist's are the best ever Brittany and Virginia!! They both are so caring and they always go above and beyond to make sure I am taken care of. I will continue visiting this Walgreens because of them. The rest of the staff is always very friendly and the store is always nice and clean. Thank you Brittany and Virginia you guys are the greatest!! read more

I always appreciate having a place like this Walgreen's available when traveling and especially within walking distance to your hotel. It's opened 24x7 with lots of convenience store items above and beyond the normal pharmacy and drugstore fare. read more

If you go past 7pm on any night there will not be a cashier. They are almost always in the stock room or something while there is a huge line of people ready to check out. In my experiences, the employees have always been rude and will talk about you right in front of you. It is always crowded due to the location. Do not recommend. read more

Worst experience I've ever had at a Walgreens, or any store like it. My experience was specifically focused around the photo center, but the manager and employees' lack of knowledge and helpfulness were the real issue. First of all, with the new automated photo centers, you have to place your order, then take your ticket up to the register, pay, then come back and scan your ticket, and the computer is supposed to know that you have paid. Unfortunately, after waiting 15 minutes, the computer still told me I hadn't paid for my order yet. Finally the manager came over and between him and another employee they clumsily figured out how to bypass the system and print my order. My first photo popped out and since I'm white and the person in the photo was black, the manager immediately picked it up and crumpled it up in his fist. I told him that was mine, and he apologized. I naturally assumed he would reprint that one for me. The rest of my photos printed and he put them in an envelope for me, and then included the crumpled photo, which he had sort of tried to flatten back out. Shocked that he would try to include the destroyed photo, I told him that I needed a replacement for that, and he said of course. The next step was to burn the CD of photos I had also paid for. That's when I got to watch the manager struggle to figure out where the CD went in, unable to find the slot clearly labeled "Insert CD or DVD here". Once I showed him where to put the CD, it started copying and he disappeared, offering no solution to the photo he had crumpled. I couldn't find him after that. I gave up and left without that photo, even though I had paid for it. I've never written a negative review before, and considered it but decided maybe it was just an off day. And then today I looked at my bank account and realized I was charged twice for my order. On the plus side, it's really easy to bypass the system and now I can just go print things without paying whenever I want. read more
