From the outside entrance all the way through to the exit you are submersed in art surrounding the pop culture of sneakers. It was educational and so modern. Sneakertopia had its own App which brought the walls to life with the camera on your phone. I left having learned about shoes and the inspiration athletes, musicians and well known influential people throughout time had on shoes and the impact shoes had on them. Steve Harris, the creator of this exhibit, was there to greet us upon arrival. You could feel the effort, thought and creativity he poured into creating this exhibit. I'd recommend it to anyone. I purchased tickets for my boyfriend who is the ultimate sneaker head and we had a great time exploring every room, being silly with the photo opportunities, appreciating the art from the ceiling to the floor, and learning about the shoes he loves. Thank you so much for this experience Steve

I went on Saturday and waited over an hour. What's special is that you can sign up for the event and get 20% off all products, which is rare for the Korean cosmetics line because they usually don't go on sale. For this special event, they have a limited edition line of tinted sunscreens that come in various shades, so you can color-match your skin with the various samples. It was hard for me to find the right one initially, but I went with the Daily Tinted Fluid Sunscreen MP200, which has a pink undertone. You'll notice the second letter of the item will have a 'P' or 'N'; 'P' stands for pink, and 'N' stands for Neutral. The pink undertone works better for me. So once you get in the store, you'll be given a program/booklet. You'll want to write your name and the last four digits of your phone number, and in the program, it'll have the products, and you can list the quantity of each product you want. You give your booklet to the team members, and they'll call you when they're ready. The event has a rice bar with rice treats and a photo booth. The space is small, but you can chat with the representatives to learn more about the various products. Their most popular product is the TikTok viral sunscreen, but due to FDA regulations, the Korean version can't be sold in the States. So Beauty of Joseon had to pivot and create a new sunscreen, so check it. It was pretty good, but overall, it was a cool event!

The place was well decorated and they offered yummy free Korean treats such as unlimited pink sikhye, peppero, and Yakgwa. I loved how they had all their skincare products out for you to sample with workers that gave you a full on review on the products. They also had a fun Photo Booth where you got a picture and free skincare samples after! We bought two serums there and got 20% off on top by attending the pop up. Great event for learning new products and sampling in order to be better educated to buy!

Again, one of those things you have to do at least once in your life, especially if you're a SoCal…read morenative and last weekend was the first time I've ever been here. I was always mistaken thinking I've been here before, but that was actually Santa Monica. Goes to show how little I go out and touch beach sand if that makes any sense. The board walk is along side the beach and you can either pay for parking at any of the lots and help support the maintenance of the beach or you can do metered parking or free street parking, you just have to pay attention to the signs and be okay with walking. Lots of things to see and it's super bustling and lively on the board walk, especially on the weekends. They recommend people to walk their bikes here, so you can easily just walk it. Gift shops, novelty stores, cannabis and magic mushrooms stores, cafe's, quick service food restaurants, art displays, street performers and vendors, people walking their dogs, and much more. Be wary of the drop shipping resellers or the boot leg items, but there's lots of original artwork and crafts being vended by people. I hate all of the AI advertisements thought, none of it makes the food look good and makes my skin crawl so I'm wishing vendors would take note of this. Very innovative to see some of the designs of shirts, Snoop Dog's ice cream parlor (sadly not opened), and people selling shaved ice on the go and much more. Also keep your hands busy so people don't try to push something in your hands and make you purchase it. Tourist trap prices for certain things, but then there are people making an honest living selling ice cold water bottles for $1 which is pretty fair if you think about it. I don't think I'll go out of my way to be here, but interesting to be at at least once.

There is a lot of different people here and it's a very lively beach. There's a lot of events to look at and watch for entertainment also. I was pretty stoked watching the Hoop Bus event and got to sit on the grass and watch some local basketball play between different teams. There was a breeze here even though it was a hot summer day so that was nice, but if you ever need some hats or sunglasses or even some shirts/sweaters memorabilia there's plenty of local souvenir shops along the pathway. You can see muscle beach, have desserts, and shop. Some people here also can approach you, but be aware of people handing you their CDs because once you accept it, they may ask for $5!!! Due to that, I do feel bad because like I mentioned, there are tourists here that just want to have a good time and not be approached by a stranger for monetary payments!!! You will also smell different scents of smoke in the air, so be aware of that too. I think to always just be cautious in general in large public areas. If there's rowdy people, don't stop and watch someone yelling at another person. The public bathrooms here are about as busy as you'd expect. My favorite area is when you reach the quiet zones in neighborhoods... there you can just relax and take in the nature of the beach beside the housing complexes.

In any case well I didn't buy anything on this trip, I did mosey about and saw some pretty cool animatronics, along with the New York subway theme for this year. Spirit Halloween does put out a consistent product, and usually has something for everybody including the adults such as myself. If you're a fan of Halloween, I definitely suggest you roll through here or any of their other nearby locations. When I went in, I told the cashier about it and she asked me if I wanted to grab a different one. I told her no because I didn't want to deal with the same product discovering more problems later on. She asked "Do you have the card ending in..." as she was looking for it on my receipt I told her I paid in cash. She confused me and I thought I paid with my card so I told her to hold on and I went back to the car to get my wallet. As soon as I went back to the store I saw the cashier on the phone. Standing there confused I thought she was on the phone with a customer. It turns out she was talking to her manager MATT. I found it odd as I was standing there waiting for her to finish her conversation with the manager. She then tells me "Yeah we can't give you cash refund, we can only refund you back with any type of card" I told her "I literally just bought it a few minutes ago and I gave you cash" She goes "yeah I know but there's a lot of scams going on right now" So in my head either she thinks I was trying to pull a fast one on the store or both the manager and the employee is doing something shady. That detail on their return policy is not even indicated on the receipt or not mentioned when I check out. I tried to reason with her that I literally just bought it in cash she can just give me the cash I paid her with. If the store is worried about scammers then I don't understand her logic at all why she wouldn't just give me back my money. I had to give her any type of debit or credit card to get the money back. Now I had to wait for the stupid bank to clear to even get it. I was pretty upset and I told her "So now I have to wait for the bank to get the money?" She nonchalantly says "Yeah probably within 3-5 business days. Like wtf? Either the employees from that particular store are stealing HARD CASH in their registers, or this company is downright just taking HARD CASH payments and using the company credit to return refunds. This doesn't make any sense. This leaves a bad impression for the company brand. I have been a Spirit Halloween guest for many years and this is the first time I've ever heard of it. I understand there have been more scams over the years, but to insinuate that towards me while I'm returning a defective product on behalf of this store is unacceptable. I was just trying to return a pos product the store is selling so I can get my money back. But it turns out this company is full of greed. The staff needs to be investigated. It felt like I was the one that got scammed here. I found it really odd the cashier phoned the manager and discussed something when I briefly left and came back. What did she need to talk to him for? If this was their policy she should already know. Store should ONLY accept card payments NOT CASH--if refunding back to a card is your ONLY method of refunds. Put up a sign that says "Card Payment Only" or at least reference this to every guest that pays with cash every single time. When they check someone out paying with cash, tell them PRIOR that refunds can only be processed through a card.
