He helped me define a ring design (based on an engraving from Jules Verne's novel From the Earth to the Moon) and helped my wife design her very different and more abstract sapphire studded ring. He used our gold (old french coins) and he helped us determine the purity in order to get it refined to 24k and then alloyed to white gold as we wanted. He uses a wax carving and casting technique and dental tools for engravings so it is definitely hand made and unique but also very cool. Price was reasonable and quality exceeded expectations. If you want something that is custom made and not machined to order overseas, but still have a similar price, you should definitely try working with Dustin.

I took 2 bracelets there. One was Swavorski crystal that needed a new latch, and the other was a tanzanite bracelet that had broke, but I needed shortened anyways. I dropped them off on a Friday and picked them up the following Friday. They were done earlier than that, so they were pretty quick. It cost $70 plus tax, which is a good deal. The new clasp was real silver and the Tanzanite bracelet was gold, so like I said good price. They were very nice and the place is small but they have lots of jewelry to sell. Lots of chains, rings, necklaces, bracelets and broaches. I 100% recommend over any other big-box jewelry store. They are a Mom-n-Pops place, so stay local and support your community!!!!!

However, the people who work at this shop are so outstandingly kind and helpful that it's worth mentioning. I came here to get a very fine gold chain repaired and to get my watch battery replaced. I ended up needing to get the movement in my watch cleaned after there were still issues with the second hand getting stuck after the battery replacement. The woman working the counter was very clear in advising me and gave me a sense of options and cost before ever compelling me to commit to the work I would get done. We discussed the replacement of the crystal on the watch face and she recommended that I see how the other repairs went first, to ensure that the watch could be made to function properly first. It's simple stuff, but I really felt that I was being given respectful advice. I also watched the same woman interact with an elderly lady who came in looking for a particular address, which turned out to be in the building, but required her to go on a bit of an adventure to find it. The woman working here went out of her way to help this elderly woman find her way - it was very sweet.
