This is my favorite TN theater I've been to. I liked it so much that I chose Regal Unlimited instead of AMC's AList, even though there are way more AMC locations. Regal Unlimited makes movie going easier and cheaper. It pays for itself with 2-3 visits a month. Matinee pricing is about $13 per movie and the regular price is $16-17. Regal Unlimited is about $25 per month. You can watch as many movies as you want in a day, week, or month. I often take a free day and plan on watching 2-3 movies back to back. Tickets are purchased at the concession stand. I usually go there instead of paying the 0.50 charge for online booking convenience. It's easy and quick when the line isn't long. You may want to bring a light jacket or cardigan because the air conditioning can be cold depending on the day. The screens are crisp, the sound is great, and the reclining leather seats are comfy. The theater is kept clean, even in the bathrooms. There are multiple theaters for viewing which makes it easy to catch almost any movie you want to see and keeps the theater from being overly crowded. I've been able to catch movies here where my friends and I felt like we had the whole theater to ourselves and it was nice. Parking is easy in the free garage steps away from the front door, or you can even park in the massive lots of the mall and surrounding stores/restaurants. They also have a bar area, and a tiny arcade area to enjoy while waiting for your movie. The inside is a bit dated but I've yet to have a bad experience here. read more

This is a nice movie theater. They have a huge garage that has free parking. You can come out at level 4 and go straight to the movie plaza. The seats are a bit old and the bathroom area is kind of outdated. They do have foot rests, which is important. Over all everyone is nice there. I enjoy this theater. read more

We chose to watch Wicked at this Regal because it's closest to my daughter's apartment and conveniently located at Green Hills Mall. We were in Auditorium 1. The space between rows is wide enough for the recliners to fully extend while allowing people to easily walk through. The recliners are comfortable but need some refurbishing. The sound quality was good enough. I noticed that in the long 30 minutes spent on previews, there wasn't a short reminder about not using cell phones during the movie. So yes, several people were on their phones texting and on social media throughout the show. That was annoying. The theatre lobby is small and a bit dated. Parking can be tough in the adjacent structure. read more

This is not a bad place to catch a flick! Nashville as a whole seems to be lacking in great theaters (Alamo Drafthouse, WYA?), but this Regal location is one of the better ones we've encountered. If you're looking to see multiple movies a month, you may want to check out Regal's Unlimited membership. For around $25 a month, you can see as many movies as you'd like, with no restrictions. With tickets for two regularly ringing in at upwards of $30, I'd say this is totally worth it. A word of caution though - you are locked in to the membership for at least three months. The folks at the concessions counter are friendly enough (and the movie membership actually gets you some small discounts on snacks!) The theaters are decently clean, and the chairs even recline ... although like many other things at this theater, they could definitely use an update. Many of the theaters are actually located on the lower level, which can be accessed via elevator or escalator. There is a concessions counter downstairs as well, but I've never actually seen it in use. I remember why the theaters are dying. Prices are insane. Cheaper to buy ticket in person than online $16.45 vs. $18.45, matinee. This regal needs an uplift to the seats; Almost all are cracked and damaged. My movie was to start at 11, first showing of the day. Around 11:15 I had to get up and remind them to click the start button. I ordered nachos for the first time in 2 decades, $11. Refrigerator cold cheese by the time I got to my seat. Had to get up a second time to complain. Customer service was good enough. They added more cheese, but cold again by sitting. Maybe I should not do early movie shows. read more

Umm yeah this theatre used to be clean and one of the few within the city you'd enjoy going to. We came here to see "It Ends Witb Us" and boyyy when I tell you we got a refund so quick. The entire place just seemed filthy. From popcorn all over the floors in the hallways. The bathrooms being unmanaged and fold they. Dirt and grime all in the floors by the concession stand. I've come here to see a couple of different movies. Recently I saw one of them days and it was great! The staff were kind and quick when getting snacks. My only issue was with the appearance of the seats. There was something wrong with my armrest that made it a bit uncomfortable when reclining the chair. I would have switched seats but the seats are all reserved so you don't know what you're getting until you get there. Otherwise, I haven't encountered any other issues. I would return. read more

I had spent most of my day in Franklin. I wanted to see a movie on my birthday and drove back to Nashville to take in an evening show. This Regal Green Hills was the closest movie theatre that was showing Elvis. I headed over here. This theatre is at The Mall at Green Hills. I found a parking spot steps away from the theatre's main entrance and walked over. If you have time to dine before seeing a movie, there are many restaurant options nearby. I didn't have time to have dinner beforehand, so I headed over to the theatre to get a ticket. This theatre is an older setup. The box office was closed. Rather, you buy your movie tickets at the concession stand. I bought a small popcorn, small Diet Pepsi, and my movie ticket at the concession stand. The man there was pleasant and helpful. I got to select where I wanted to sit and paid with my credit card. Done! I found my theatre. The cleaning staff had just come out of it. I went in and didn't have a problem finding my spot. Rows and seats were clearly labelled. The leathered seats recline. They are comfy. My drink fit in the drink holder. I munched on my popcorn throughout the movie. It was great. The movie screen was crisp and clear. The sound was excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed watching Elvis. I used the washroom before I left the place. It was clean and decent. The walls are painted purple. I was a fan seeing my favourite colour everywhere. There are places where you can play games and try your luck at the claw machine. You do have to go up a floor to the theatres. There were escalators. I didn't pay much attention to whether the place had an elevator. I had a nice evening and experience at this theatre. Came here on Christmas night. There was a slow moving line at the concession stand that took 15 minutes for us just to get to the counter. Which was odd since it seemed like they had plenty of staff to keep up with the crowd. Once inside I was really impressed with the leather chairs that leaned back electronically. Except whenever someone adjusted their seat during a quiet part of the movie the entire audience could hear the leather rubbing. read more

This a lovely older movie theater with a homey and well kept feel. The theaters has reclining seats and they've always got the film I'm eager to see playing. It's easy to go in, purchase snacks, and make it to your theater given it's slightly smaller than newer theaters. This Regal Theater is connected to the Green Hills Mall and combines aspects of theaters of the past with updates of current and upgraded theaters. The updates that I enjoyed here were the well-sized, comfortable reclining seats along with the ability to reserve your seats. The dated parts of this theater are certainly the overall aesthetic and functionality, especially that of the concession area. Main entry into the theater is on the second level where upon entry you are greeted with a small lobby that features the concession counter in the center, a nice lobby bar to the right and the entrances to the theaters on the left. Concessions seemed to be decently staffed, but the process of ordering and getting your food/drink were still cumbersome and not very timely. This caused a back-up in the lobby, which seems easy on the busy days given the size of the space. We got a large popcorn and two icee's, and it took several minutes to get both once we ordered. And against my better foodie judgment, I will mention and slightly complain about the way the popcorn is presented...this will be the only time I ever "complain" about too much food, ever! While I appreciate the fact that they give you your money's worth of popcorn by piling it 4 inches over the rim of the bucket, it is way to much and for the first few minutes of eating it, you are spilling more than you are actually eating. I honestly felt like a toddler as I was dropping so much in my seat :( Once you get your goods you head to the left to the greeter who scans your ticket(s) and sends you to the right or down the escalator. We happened to be downstairs. On the bottom level there was another concessions area, restrooms and a hallway that help majority of the theaters. Parking is your standard mall parking situation. You can park in the massive lots surrounding the mall or you can park in the garage, which is what I recommend as it is basically attached to the theater. Overall, if this Regal did not have the ability to reserve seats and recliners, I would not be an active movie goer here, as the rest of the theater is dated, worn down and just meh. My true rating would be a 2.5, but since we can't split those stars up...3 it is, and I am ok with that as this Regal is just OK. read more

Yeah, sadly one of my least favorite cinematic experiences in the Nashville area. In my most recent experience, I went with a large group of friends to see the new Spider Man a few days after opening. We bought our tickets online a few days in advance, which made things easy for our arrival. First, if you're not familiar with the Green Hills area, there is almost ALWAYS intense traffic if you are coming from Hillsboro. And the main parking lot in front of the theater CAN be a nightmare to find a spot in -- a reason I haven't been here in a few years. My one bright spot of this particular visit was that I found great parking easily by parking on the 4th floor of the garage, which opens right to the theater entrance (do this; it will save you the headache of the Hillsboro traffic and main mall lot crowd.) That's kind of where the positives end. Most people here aren't wearing masks or pertaining to any kind of cleanliness. It was a Sunday evening and the theater was packed, and as we went to buy concessions, almost all the good movie candy (ie anything with chocolate) was sold out (but the people working there didn't really clarify that until you had waited in a long line.) I sucked it up and bought a bag of mini snickers and a water bottle for over $10. The person checking tickets wasn't actually checking tickets, so it was pretty easy to get to our theater. Like most theaters in the area, they have upgraded to the reclining seats, but unlike other theaters in the area, they don't appear to do much cleaning between showings, so there was a fair amount of popcorn and debris from the previous showing around. The house lights were left on the entirety of the previews and -- worse yet -- the sound wasn't working until almost the last preview. Despite a horde of complaints from the packed theater, they seemed really slow to fix the sound issue. Part of the charm of actually seeing a movie in a theater these days is getting to watch and enjoy previews from a theater perspective, so that really sucked. The actual movie was fine, but there only appears to be one bathroom on the main entrance floor (which seems insane, given the traffic this theater gets) so there was naturally an unreasonably long line after the movie. Just an overall dirty, unpleasant experience and I will only return to see movies here when I don't have a choice in the matter (ie like this trip, when we picked what geographically made sense for folks to meet at.) read more

I'm a filmmaker. Nobody supports the comeback of the movie theater more than I. As a huge proponent of the cinematic experience that cannot be replicated at home, that's precisely why I headed out to the theater for the first time in 18 months! It was a thrill to be sitting in those seats again, a theater I first discovered in 1998, where I dated my future wife, hung out with friends, and even became inspired to delve into filmmaking. So this venue has tremendous sentimental value. And then, the movie began. The house lights remained on during its entirety. If you've ever tried to watch a dimly-lit horror movie in a fully-lighted theater, you cannot see a darn thing. I called the phone number of the theater, only to reach the generic national Regal line. Even when selecting the menu option to phone the theater directly, an error message indicated that this would not be possible. I tried three times in utter frustration. I walked to the top of the theater and knocked on the glass where the projectionist would certainly hear me. Or maybe their whole operation is automated now and nobody is up there. I received no answer. I went to fetch an employee, but the halls were empty. There were no employees, no moviegoers, anywhere, equally as apocalyptic as the film I was attempting to watch. I considered heading up the escalator to find the ticket taker to whom I spoke earlier, but I was missing key plot elements of the film and headed back. On a whim, I did some quick detective work, peeking into two other theaters along the way. I was shocked to find them basking in full fluorescent light just like my theater. That's the moment I realized it wasn't a faux pas playing out just for my film. It was some sort of new, bizarre theater-wide policy to keep the lights on! Coming out of the pandemic, with theaters begging for our business and me willing to give it, this is NOT how you lure patrons. I understand that we have to do things differently now, that new policies have been put in place to minimize the spread of illness. And I'm okay with all that. But I cannot for the life of me comprehend why keeping the lights on during a movie helps prevent the spread of COVID-19. I cannot wrap my head around this new policy, but it will effectively destroy the cinematic experience. Please support your local theater and help rejuvenate the cinema industry! But I strongly advise you NOT to do so in Green Hills or you'll be sorely disappointed! read more

One of the best theaters in Nashville for seeing the big box movies! With multiple theaters it's almost guaranteed you'll be able to see whatever has been released. All the theaters have reclining seats which the staff do a great job at keeping these clean. Both floors are accessible with the elevator access. The Photo Booth is a nice touch! Definitely adds to the experience here! The parking lot is attached to the green hills mall so you need to plan ahead to get a spot or plan use a different mode of transportation. read more

Going up a star to a full "4" now. The subscriber option is what turned Regal as a chain around for me-- for $24 a month per person you can see any movie at any time as often as you like. So if you see at least two movies a month, it pays for itself. It's been incentive to see more movies in real time, visiting 1-2 a week (sometimes for a double feature). Points on the Regal app accrue quickly, so with that and the points earned from subscription renewals (and bonuses for seeing certain movies), I pay for roughly 1 out of every 3 popcorns or drinks. This location (Green Hills) is by far the best Regal in the Nashville area--the recliner seats are in most auditoriums here (as opposed to 1/4 of the ones at Opry Mills where the average ticket price for non-subscribers is inexplicably 15% higher). Friendly staff, the kitchen is basically back to full service (selection). Compared to the local chain competition (AMC), this is the bargain for all of the above. read more

The Regal Green Hills sits close to a busy mall & a few restaurants, so it's a good spot for a dinner & movie option. It even operates a small bar, if you're up for drinks afterwards. The ticket counter of past is replaced with kiosks, but I suggest just downloading the app to simplify your check-in. Kiosks aren't worth the hassle. If you prefer a snack, the popcorn is sometimes fresh & they have offered the chilled junior mints option so that's a plus. Otherwise, it's standard fare, but don't do anything crazy like hot dogs or Nachos. Oddly, the napkins are secured during checkout, but straws are at the left. You're also going to need a partner to hold your drinks while you grab your ticket. There's a small podium to place your concessions, but seems bizarre that they don't require that before you purchase your concessions. Nonetheless, unless you're in auditorium 1 or 2, it's down the escalator. A small elevator or staircase is also available. Once you get downstairs, it can be a long walk towards your auditorium but each wall has a bank along the narrow hallway. Arcade games are downstairs if you've got kids. But don't count on the concession stand being open downstairs, I haven't seen activity there for years. Green Hills is a perfect spot to enjoy quality Fall movies with a Friday evening crowd. Lots of older folks in the area that have more discriminating taste. You won't find many large screens or auditoriums, so if you're up for the latest Marvel or want a larger canvas, you'll need to check out the Hollywood 24 off I-65. Overall, it's a three. read more

E for effort. Consider this a 3.5. I appreciate the strides that have been made here. Of which, 2 are major. 1) comfy, oversized Reclining chairs. 2-and not in this order-a full bar. Call me shallow, but these are of the utmost importance. I'm sure the bar was to keep up with the 5 star theater up the road-the Belcourt. Where they still fall down is on the service at the snack bar, the service at the ticket counter, and cleanliness. Note to management: check your restrooms REGULARLY and clean the popcorn off the carpet. Pretty please. Keep in mind the neighborhood you serve and you will fare far better. Also, when might we expect things to happen at the lower level snack bar?? As most of your theaters are on this level, I would think it would make good sense for both patrons and management. I haven't been to a movie theater in probably 10 years, but I had to see the new Top Gun Maverick on the big screen. Wow, has the theater experience changed. Now you can reserve a seat, and they have big leather reclining seats that are as comfortable as the old recliner at home. The prices have gone up of course, but so has everything else. I'm a senior, and went to a matinee, and I believe it still cost about $14. However, I learned while there, for $18 a month you can get an unlimited pass. There are several other movies I'd like to see, so I signed up. Not only can I watch as many movies as I want, as many times as I want, but along the way they throw in perks, like a free medium popcorn, free nachos, etc., and recently they sent a pass for me to take a guest for free. Quite the good deal in my opinion. read more

Trying to figure who gave less of a damn (AND IT'S GOING TO BE HARD): * the employee who at 4:20 told me the bartender doesn't start until 3:30 (when I told her it was 4:20, shrugged and walked away). * the concession guy who I was informed via sign to get my ticket at the concession stand from, and then after a 10-minute wait, pointed me at the ticket taker. * the ticket taker who didn't know that my 3-D movie (had to prove it to him on my phone) needed glasses. * the irritable manager who kicked over a box of glasses to the ticket taker after I asked for the glasses I'll need to view my movie. $17.24 for this? You have GOT. TO. BE. F'in. KIDDING. ME. Why even bother being open if you'll treat people like this from top to bottom? Horrible experience. My first time at a theater with reclining chairs. And wow, I don't think I'll be able to go to a standard theater EVER AGAIN. It has the prime location next to the Green Hills Mall AKA lots of dining options before/after the movies. This also means that parking isn't going to be great, though there is a large parking garage directly next to the theater. It was very clean inside, and we pre-purchased our tickets from the regal app, making it stress-free as we arrived. We hopped in line to grab some snacks, and wow did they have some options, with a full bar in the lobby too. Also, Tuesdays are supposedly "movie" Tuesdays, in which my popcorn was 1/2 off. Love the deals on a weekday. I will definitely be back for another great movie experience. read more

I abhor this place. It is an astoundingly vile movie theatre. Please do not go here unless you want to torture your senses. It smells like stale corpses and rotten popcorn. Food and trash covers the floors, due to their terrible and probably non-existent cleaners. The bathrooms are also shockingly vulgar. My mother witnessed an individual very vividly toss ones cookies up onto the floor. Probably wasn't cleaned either knowing the state of the rest of the place. Also, there is an extremely limited amount of snack options. I love chocolate and the only option there is snickers. So, having repeated eaten those whilst being in the presence of this detestable place, I have lost my appetite for them. overall, it is worth the longer drive to go to another theatre and to steer clear of this loathsome place. read more

COVID has devastated movie theaters all over the country. Just prior to the pandemic Regal had completed a multi-million dollar renovation. Tonight? It looked dingy, unclean, and sad. Once a favorite theatre of people in Nashville, I can't imagine it being a theatre of choice for many anymore. The bathrooms were dirty and "out of order". The carpets looked dirty on the border of filthy. Look no farther than the stainless steel in between the up and down escalators. For the money and location you would think they could show some care. We had a really good evening at the mall and we went to the Regal Theater. Noel and I hurried here after I got off at work to watch the movie " No Good Deed" Which is such a great movie.. The theater was so nice!! We had never been to this theater before and on a Monday evening at 5:15...it was definitely NOT BUSY..so this is the time to go to avoid the crowds. I had a free ticket earned by the Reward program. so I only had to buy one ticket for Noel...cost $11 then we ordered the combo number 2, with one large popcorn and 2 medium drinks, we upsized the drinks to large for .50 cents each (great selling little lady) then the candy was $2 (Monday night special)...so another $22.25 She also got a free poster of the movie.. The evening together on our Mother Daughter! PRICELESS !!! The theater was very nice and very clean!! The staff very nice!!! I will definitely go back here again! read more

They've remodeled this arguable relic and kept it relevant over the years. They're usually a good two years behind where they need to be on such decisions and investments, though. You will find a lot of films here that are limited, art-house, or foreign, which is great. Convenient to nearby shopping and dining. They've added a bar to the lobby. Good parking availability in the attached garage. NOTE: You will almost certainly NOT HAVE CELL RECEPTION in the lower level auditoriums, especially the deeper into the hallway you go, but your ass shouldn't be using the phone in the theater anyway. read more

I managed to buy (two weeks in advance!) tickets for the minion 3 movie for four people (two kids, two adults, 3D) but didn't realize I had purchased them for the wrong night, and thus was facing my 12 year old daughter wearing a gru nose, judging me, burning me with her teenage-angst-filled eyes... and thanks to the gentleman who checks the tickets, the lady behind the concession stand, the manager who kindly stated that "this happens all the time" in order to free me of feeling like a total failure, and the hilarious auditorium cleaners - thanks to all of them my daughter now just thinks I'm normally annoying instead of a total disaster and for that I say THANK YOU! read more

Ticket total was $13.21. I handed over $14 to Nick, who's favorite movie is Spider-Man, according to his name tag. In the POS system he entered that I gave him an even $14 so it prompted him to give me $0.79 back. As he did this, I handed him a penny that was next to his window to round it up to an even $0.80 back. While this happened, I saw that there were a few other pennies outside his window. I slid them to him and said, "Here, you can use these for someone who needs a penny later". To which he replied, "Oh, someone must have left those". While this incredibly short verbal exchange happened, something didn't end up adding up correctly because he then entered into his POS that I gave him exactly $13.21, handed me the four pennies back, told me to keep them and enjoy my movie... Lets refresh, I still handed him $14 and should have received the $0.79 back from the beginning of this transaction. When I asked him about the other change he owed me, he looked incredibly confused and didn't seem to realize his basic mathematical error. With the reaction I received from this employee, I just told him never mind and walked away. For someone who is handling currency, there should be a better understanding of basic math and how to give change without relying on the POS. Very disappointing. read more
