Came for a movie and was surprised to see its a whole entertainment space. You have to take a couple escalators to go up but once you get there they have a bunch of arcade games, a restaurant/bar, bowling alley and movie theater. The movie theater is more intimate and has seating for couples or single seats. They also have a QR code that you can order food but we had eaten beforehand so we didn't get anything. It was a little odd that they had someone come through and hand out paper menus as it was a bit distracting as the movie was going on. The seats could be a little more tiered as well. The bottom of the screen was a little blocked by the people in front of me. The seats themselves are really comfy! They don't recline or heat up but that wasn't too bothersome. read more

I recently saw The Odyssey here and enjoyed the film itself, but unfortunately the theater experience didn't live up to the "luxury" standard it advertises. The seats were comfortable, and I liked the concept of ordering food from your seat via a QR code. However, that's where the experience started to fall apart. Instead of taking you to an online ordering system like most luxury theaters, the QR code simply instructed you to call a server. It wasn't a seamless process at all. There appeared to be only one server working the auditorium, and while he was doing his best, the system clearly wasn't set up for success. My sister received her order without issue, but my popcorn never arrived, and I had to flag down the server just to get the orange soda I had ordered. It finally arrived about halfway through the movie. After the film, we stopped by customer service to make sure we hadn't been charged for the popcorn that never came. As expected, we had been. The manager apologized, promptly refunded the charge, and even offered us complimentary popcorn coupons for a future visit, which I appreciated. She also asked if we still wanted the popcorn. By then of course, the movie was over, and it was no longer needed. I appreciate that management made things right, but the overall experience still left me underwhelmed. A functioning mobile ordering system would likely make things much easier for both guests and staff. The theater has the potential to deliver a true luxury experience, but right now, the execution doesn't quite match the concept. read more

I really wanted to love it and I still think it can be great with a few updates: 1. The theater was SO HOT. Everyone was complaining and by the end of the movie it was just so uncomfortable. 2. Ordering food should be done through an app. It's really distracting to have people ordering food from servers throughout the movie and then at the end the server has to come ask you to pay. 3. The seats don't recline? And the seats are awkwardly small despite the couch vibes, so doesn't really feel like a luxury experience. Food was ok not great, but would come back if the seats were better and it wasn't so hot inside! read more

We swung by during happy hour since it's right behind Earl's Kitchen at the Nashville Yard. The bartender mentioned they had been dealing with a long AC issue(like 1wk or 2), so we were glad it was fixed by the time we visited. It wasn't too busy for a Thursday, and it looked like one company had rented part of the space for a team outing. I played a couple of arcade games and checked out the movie theater. It was nice and cozy, with tables for food and drinks, but the couches don't recline, so that's one upgrade I'd love to see. There's plenty of seating around the bar and it's a fun spot that's a little different from the usual downtown Nashville scene. It'd be great for families looking to take a break from all the Broadway bar hopping. Plus, they offer 4 hours of free parking, which is a huge bonus since parking around there is nearly $25 and up... read more

I got to come here for a work event and it's a really cool concept/space. Everything is on one floor so it does limit the amount of things to do. There are 8 bowling lanes, 6 theater screens I believe and half the area is the arcade. There is a bar and seating with a food menu. Parking in the attached garage can be confusing but they have a validated option as well. I do wish there were more game/options but this still can be a fun place for a date or for groups to come and hang out. read more

This is a great addition to Nashville Yards! I have been saying for years how strange it is that we didn't have a movie theater/entertainment center like this anywhere in Nashville ... and I'm happy to report that Hooky fills that gap perfectly. My husband and I purchased movie tickets through Fandango to see the new Toy Story here. I saw on their website that they validate parking for up to four hours in the Nashville East garage, and thank goodness that they do! I couldn't imagine spending any more money on parking after purchasing two movie tickets for nearly $60 (including fees). However, you get what you pay for, as their movie theaters are beautiful and brand new, with fun loveseat-like couch seats and full service dining. Concession prices were pretty standard, and I love that the popcorn is bottomless, so you can get a refill halfway through the movie if you want! I do wish that you could just place the order through the QR code rather than just requesting a server ... it seems like it would flow more smoothly for everyone if that were the case. We also got an Oreo shake with our popcorn, which was utterly delicious! Note that there is no regular concession stand - you must order popcorn and snacks (or a full meal) through a theater server. Regular rules do kind of go out the window with these full service dining theaters. The woman a few seats down from us was shining her flashlight at her menu for the first 15 minutes of the movie, and it was so annoying! She did it periodically throughout the movie as well. I'm not sure what Hooky could do to curtail this, as I'm sure they want people to order food throughout the movie, so I'll just say moviewatcher beware! The couch seats were comfortable, albeit a little awkward. I really wish they reclined! The audio and visuals were great - we opted for the SDX theater, and it did not disappoint. We didn't get a chance to check out any of the other games on-site, or the full bar available, but we did note their awesome happy hour deals. I am sure we'll be back soon! read more

Was really looking forward to finally having a clean comfortable upscale movie theater in Nashville and was pretty disappointed. The only real positive was that it's new and they're keeping it clean. So at least a step up from the sticky floors of every other movie house we've visited in the Nashville area. They were having problems with the HVAC and the entire center was uncomfortably hot. The seating is mostly love seats, large enough for two. But the seats don't recline and they've chosen to use cloth instead of leather. The seats are already not particularly comfortable, and it feels like they'll get old and worn out pretty quickly. Wonder why they went with the cheaper approach. They do offer food and drink service to the movie seats. You scan a QR code that goes through a "check out" process that's actually just requesting a wait person visit and take your order. Pretty unusual and underwhelming for an established chain. The "table" attached to each seat is very small, just enough to hold a drink and a small plate. The menu, which is the same menu provided in the bar, is typical bar food and not designed for eating in a dark theater. There are very few items other than the drinks that you'd be tempted to try in the dark. The front door of Hooky is out to a two lane major downtown street with no access for ride shares to pull over and drop you off or pick you up. Huge oversight, they must imagine all their customers are walk ups or parking in nearby garages. We're a bit spoiled by previously living in areas with iPic theaters, and were hoping Hooky might provide an iPic like experience. It's a small step in that direction, but clearly with a lower budget and a less experienced design team. I expect we may give them one more try, after the place has a chance to burn in and get their rhythm, particularly if there's a combination of a good movie and a reservation at an adjacent restaurant like Ocean Prime. But our expectations are going to be fairly low. read more

My wife experience was very good the games are fun and the food menu was packed with items. Located in Nashville Yard's this is a fun dates night then cat dinner and a move or go bowling. read more

Went to see the Odyssey in the theatre - couldn't believe a 12oz classic margarita ended up costing $21 ($17 + tax + tip), but that's the world we live in. and I wasn't even upset by that b/c it was delicious. Would have been nice to order through the QR Code b/c the server didn't arrive till after the movie started which was distracting because he had to get everyone's order at once. (I felt bad for him!) I got my wings - they were so dry, and I don't mean the dry rub! I ate 2. My friend couldn't see what she was eating and wanted to know if the shrimp had tails that were in her salad. She wasn't impressed with her mediterranean shrimp salad either and only had a few to several bites. I can't speak for my friend, but from my experience... I won't order food there again. NOW the theatre itself I liked very much... the sound system is comparable to an IMAX theatre. I like that it's small. Staff was very nice! read more

OMG !. My Daughter and I had so much fun last night at the new place in Nashville called Hooky's! We played all the games, watched the movie & Super Mario, we ate and drink while being served all inside the sofa type seating area. Now a few games didn't work and I wasn't too fond of the Hooky Frito Pie but they've only been open 2 days so that was okay and the Manager made sure to give me a refund. We will be back again soon to try the bowling! read more

If you want below average come here. Overpriced arcade games and the games ain't even good they got the bad ones and the prizes ain't good either. The place is disgusting, it just feels filthy. The bowling sucks too. Do not come here. It's more fun to run around on the street of downtown Nashville trying not to get hit by a car than come here. read more

Drove up to Nashville for an office event at Hooky Nashville Yards. We had the setup, food, drinks, bowling, games,. We had a good time but it was hot. Their air was not working and that was a bummer. It was 20 degrees cooler outside (raining, overcast, about 75 degrees) We had a great mix of food. Wings, chicken breast bites, salad fixins, chips, chili and salsa, pizzas, and pretzel sticks with cheese dip. It was all good. (Just so hot) It was fun. Management did give us some movie passes and a discount. Ill be back. (Hopefully the air will be fixed) read more

I can't speak to the games and movies, but avoid the restaurant AT ALL COSTS! I've been in the service industry for over 20 years and I've never seen a complete failure from top to bottom quite like this. We were greeted by a gentleman at the help desk to told us to have a seat and he would send a server over. Twenty minutes later, we asked the manager if they could send over a server. Ten after that, a server arrived and dropped off menus. (We had already looked it up online and knew our order.) We ordered our food and drinks. The kids drinks arrived promptly and the food arrived about 8-10 minutes later. It was... edible... and barely above room temperature. We asked the food runner for napkins and utensils, she was prompt and friendly. We ate our food and never received our bar drinks. Management only took off two of the three drinks we ordered, the drinks we never received. Absolute clown shoes of an operation. -6.6/10 read more

I have never felt the need to write a bad review of a place until I came here. I came with a group of friends to bowl, and while the bowling was fun, the service was absolutely horrendous and truly the worst I have ever experienced anywhere. We arrived during Happy Hour and wanted to take advantage of the Happy Hour prices. When we arrived, my group walked over to the bar to order. The bartender informed us that we have a server over at the bowling alley and he didn't want to take away money from the servers, which was very kind and thoughtful. We return to our bowling lane and click the button on the tablet screen asking for service (which lights up the TV letting everyone in vicinity and lets every server walking by see, it's very hard to miss). Several minutes go by, no server appears. One of my friends eventually has to flag down someone, who tells us that while he is not a server, he can help us and take our order. He starts to take our order and is utterly clueless as to how the machine he has in his hands to take our order works. He takes so long to take my friend's order of 1 drink that I walk back over to the bar and order there. It has been at least 15 minutes at this point and getting to the end of the Happy Hour prices. I let the bar know my order and that we still have not been helped by a true server. When I return after receiving my order at the bar, that same individual is still taking my friend's orders and has not gone to find a real server for us. The orders are eventually put in and their food comes out. One friend walks up to the bar to order a few minutes later and the bar explained to her that we couldn't keep ordering at the bar, to which she told them that we still haven't had a true server come by. 15 minutes after that interaction, a real server finally approaches us after most of us have already received our orders from various other places. She explains that they had an event earlier and there was a mix up in who supposed to be serving the bowling lanes. Mind you, the event was over before we even arrived and it had been well over 45 minutes we had been there, if not longer by the time this server had come over. One of my friend places an order with her. When that order comes out (not by our server but another individual), it is wrong. My friend explains it not what she ordered and that individual says completely nothing and walks away with the incorrect order. 20 minutes later her correct order eventually arrives. We saw our server exactly one time after that. Every single employee I encountered acted like it was their first day on the job and possibly on Planet Earth. Nobody had a single clue what was going on or what they were doing. This kind of service makes me never want to return. It doesn't matter to me if someone is new or still learning the job. We all start somewhere, but after multiple times of telling other people that we were not being helped it became incredibly frustrating. Multiple employees and staff were around yet no one seemed inclined to help us or find someone who could. The food and drinks were good, if overpriced, and the bowling was fun, but the lack of attention to service when you have customers who are eager and willing to order makes me never want to return or recommend this place when I know of other similar places in Nashville with much better service. read more

This was succchhhh an awful experience. First of all - the AC felt like it wasn't on when we walked into our theater room. Second - the trays of food they serve you on don't even fit on the trays attached to your seats. They cover your cup holder and you can't even fit everything! Also - the seats are not arranged at a stadium angle, so your neck up at an awful angle the entire time. ALSO - for the price of our food + our tickets - it came out to about 4 months of our AMC stubs A-list membership. I'll probably never be returning! read more
