Not bad. Pictures are really old. My room has hardwood or linoleum floors and the bathroom has been re done.

I know the environment here is fairly humid, but it's possible to keep a bathroom mold-free anyway, and ours wasn't. The sink's drain couldn't keep up; that's relatively easy to fix. So I'm at 4 stars instead of 5. The bed was comfortable enough, but I chose the wrong pillow - didn't realize until morning that the two were different. I chose "bean bag", and should have chosen "firm" (I'm a side sleeper). It's not the hotel's fault that the folks across the hall got in after midnight and spent a fair amount of time loudly going in and out, but I do wish the doors stopped sound better. Would we stay again? Yes - hoping they'll see this review and redouble efforts to keep the bathrooms clean and the drains draining.

Rated "F" by Better Business Bureau…read more The BBB rating "F" is suffcient to avoid this hotel. "Reasons for the rating: Failure to respond to 518 complaints filed against business; 42 complaint(s) filed against business that were not resolved; 959 complaint(s) filed against business." We checked in to our first floor room for 3 nights inJuly 2025, a double queen room. Be aware that the beds are NOT queen-sized. When we opened the door, the stench was overwhelming - mold, mildew, or whatever . The smell got worse when we turned the AC on. We immediately returned to the front desk to speak to Kenzie who had checked us in. She said there wasn't another room for us even as she was checking others in. We told her that the room's air was unhealthy. We left to have dinner with relatives, returned around 9 pm, and was told again by a different clerk there was nothing they would do. We reserved a room at another hotel, packed the car, and left. The clerk told us on the way out that our points for the stay would be refunded. We stopped by the next morning to tell the manager about the problem and she assured us our points would be refunded. They never refunded our points. There are other signs this property is not being properly maintained and is not up to "Holiday Inn Select" standards. The swimming pool is closed with a sign stating it's closed for "maintenance." The pool was also closed in July 2024. No one wishing to stay in Ponca City should choose this hotel.

Warning stay at your own risk!! And buyer beware!…read more PSA This review is my personal opinion and it is based on my experience . The property is dated, but doesn't look particularly bad. I stayed at this hotel, and when we checked in the staff was courteous and nice. But that all went as they say south. When the first night I was woken up about 3 o'clock in the morning, with painful bites and an severe allergic reaction. Our medical professional said that they were bedbug bites. When I brought this to the hotel employees attention at 3 o'clock in the morning he was very polite and showed concern. He said that he would notated, and the hotel took this very seriously, and that the manager would contact me the next day. And that they had just gone through a infestation, and that's why the beds were all wrapped in plastic The next day, I waited 13 hours and never heard back from either the staff or the management of the hotel in a plan. They offered to move me to another room, which made no sense, because they would then infect the other room, with the bedbugs from my original room. I decided not to stay at the hotel I know Shocker. There was never any empathy or concern from that employee, the aforementioned, older lady, or the manager of the property. They were just nasty and accusative, as if I had done something wrong. by bringing this issue to their attention. It also bears mentioning that at least eight other guest had been bitten in their rooms. It is worth mentioning that I have stayed in hotels, literally all over the world for work and pleasure. And sometimes these things happen. I was not blaming the hotel, necessarily as much as I was looking for a solution. Protect your self, and your family, and do not stay at this property. It's hard to trust a property and management that has zero concern for their patrons. There are three amazing properties, in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Two of which that I've actually stayed at an highly recommend in no particular order, those properties are 1, Hampton Inn by Hilton (I would qualify this property as a 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 stars. The property is clean, modern and the staff our friendly and helpful) 2, Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott (I would qualify this property as a 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 stars. The property is clean, modern and the staff our friendly and helpful) 3. holiday inn and suites. I have not had the opportunity to stay at this property, but I have had co workers That have stayed at this property and have said it was lovely.

They moved us to another room, but it was just across the hall so I'm sure there were bugs there too. I didn't have much of a choice but to stay here as my husband is in the hospital having surgery.

Go to use the bathroom, no soap to wash my hands. Also no shampoo for the morning, asked for some at the front desk she said she'd bring some over. She showed up a little while later but only had conditioner. In what world is that ok to clean anything? In the morning loud knock on the door then enters my room. Asked who is in here. Told my name. Said I was a no show and to come to the desk to figure it out. Basically this place is a disaster. Do not stay here. Tried to get a refund but was offered a gift bag. It had a lame plastic cup and an unofficial looking hand written note for a complimentary stay next time I'm there. That won't be happening I'll stay somewhere else in town.

I got the feeling from speaking to what seemed to be residents there who have nowhere else to go that it is not just a hotel. Dirt in corners of bathroom. Old, worn linens. One day we had zero linens and when we asked for washcloths they brought up old stringy worn out towels and cut them in squares to make washcloths!! When packing to leave after our 2 day stay, we saw bedbugs on bathroom sink and top of dresser. There's more. No desk service without having to hunt for someone to help. The men coming in for breakfast were in huge group and appeared to be migrant workers. They obviously weren't staying there. It was impossible to get any fruit and woman putting food out could not keep up with refilling things. Most things just became unavailable when they all left. I've stayed at LaQuintas in other places while travelling; they're not like they used to be yrs ago. They're old and run down but I've never found any of these things at others. It has turned me off of LQuinta for life.

The young lady on the phone whom I made the reservations with was very friendly and helpful and made sure we got a room that fit our needs for the night and that we could park right outside the room to keep an eye on the rig. While the outside is older and the inside was a bit dated, the bed and bedding was amazing and new. It was obvious that they were working on remodeling the rooms and replacing dated carpet etc. All staff were friendly and helpful and the free continental breakfast offered a wide range of options and tasted good! There was anything from scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, cereal, bagels and pastries, and waffles. Definitely would stay there again on another trip! Very clean as well.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel other travelers should know about my experience…read more I reserved a room at the Quality Inn in Ponca City because the hotel is advertised as smoke-free. As soon as I walked into the lobby, there was a strong wet dog odor. When I entered my room, it smelled heavily of old cigarette smoke and mildew. It wasn't a faint odor--it smelled like years of cigarette smoke that had soaked into the carpet, walls, and furniture. Because I have breathing issues, I went back to the front desk and asked for a different room. Unfortunately, the second room smelled just as bad. At that point, I couldn't stay there and had to book another hotel at my own expense. When I requested a refund, the owners refused. Even more confusing, the front desk manager told me the smell was because they had sprayed a new air freshener that "might smell a little like cigarettes," which made no sense given how strong the odor was. If a hotel advertises itself as smoke-free, guests reasonably expect rooms that don't smell like old cigarette smoke. For travelers with asthma, allergies, or other respiratory issues, this isn't just an inconvenience--it can make the room unusable. I paid for a room I couldn't stay in because of the condition of the property and had to spend additional money on another hotel. I'm extremely disappointed that the hotel refused to issue a refund, and I would not stay here again.

Sadly, the 20 miles was actually east, as the crow flies, so staying here added 40 minutes to our trip. Ah well, at least it was a safe place to lay our heads at 11pm. All of the other rooms in town were double the price I paid for a bed, and I just considered myself lucky that the smoking room smelled more of disinfectant than of smoke, and that the stains on the carpet were long dry. The beds were a bit too close to the loud air conditioner, but it was a cool enough night for us to turn it off and rest. The morning brought me a refreshingly lukewarm shower, as at 7am I was well behind most of the travelers who had stayed the night. I gave myself an exfoliating scrub with the towel, dressed, and left to begin the day's drive. The hotel does provide a breakfast of sorts. I spotted a few pastries and some milk, but did not pause long enough to eat. The family that runs the hotel were courteous at 11pm, and at 7:30 am. And they apologized for the lack of hot water. So why three stars for this experience? Because it was just that--exactly in the middle. This is not a hotel for the discerning guest. It is a low end motel built for people who realize that the next available room might be too far past their ability to stay alert. It was just what I needed at exactly the moment I needed it to appear.
