She was able to hold a conversation and she even asked me questions. It was fun to talk to her and she didn't mind explaining what she was doing to my nails. She even did a good job trying to fix a small dent/hole in one of my thumbnail. She also told me she can do ombré nails and designs. If you are at the Midtown mall one day I recommend trying them out.

I recently went to another nail salon and this place beats it hands down! A new, modern place with a massage chair I can sit at while the technician does her thing? YESSSSS!!! I haven't even had the nail polish completed yet, so I can't comment on the quality of that, but she seems to be taking her time and ensuring she cleans up the edges, when needed. Things I would change if money was no option and the place was mine? 1) The overhead lighting... it is a more than desired as a customer, but I suppose it helps the technicians. I would soften the overhead lights and put portable lights to use just above the feet/hands. 2) I'm not keen on watching the food channel right now, but thankfully I have my noise reducing headphones with me. So perhaps over the ear wireless headphones that could be cleaned and provided to customers to listen to some spa music? But that sounds like a place that would have to charge more than I would want to pay! Lol. I think they'd be willing to change the channel if it was something I really wanted given it's the end of the day and no one else is here Update: I had to make a few very minor changes to the shape of a couple of toenails. My second pedí was also great... though a little less of a leg massage ; however, the polish to one of the nails lifted from a side edge (as in I could pull it all off), but it has stayed on.

They informed me they do not do hand designs and tried to have to choose from a stencil to be sprayed on. I chose to just have sparkles on that nail instead. They had an older man doing my nails, he was very nice and tried to do what I wanted. My nails are thick and ugly, not square like I asked. Next came my pedicure. Water was cold, asked them to warm it a bit, they said it's as warm as it goes (okay then....) they had a VERY YOUNG boy cut my toe nails (way too short) as to cause ingrown toe nails. Next I wanted a French manicure, the young boy asked the female (I assumed more experienced technician) to come over and do it. She tried to do it by hand.. Looked terrible and she kept telling me my nails were too small... (Because the boy did them like that WITHOUT me asking, I even told him I wanted a French manicure) the white tip was so thick there was hardly any thing other than that. After I complained she re-did them 2 times and they were still terrible. She finally airbrushed them... The tips are all crooked and very ugly. Worst 90$ I've ever been charged. We were told that we could not have our hands soaked or warmed up for cuticle work prior to shellac coating because of risk of infection. My mother does not have the greatest fingernails and being old and over 75, not the best feet either. But at this point when the cuticle pushing hurt her hand, I was hoping they would try to figure out another way to work on them. Several problems with my mother and her nails, from not curing them properly and having to redo polish, to seeing her esthetician become visibly irritated with her - left me feeling very regretful. It cost $346 (not including tips) for both my mother and I to have this pedi and mani shellac experience - and a few of my mother's finger nail tips chipped off the next day. I will chalk this up to experience and not ever return here. I know these are not easy jobs but this spa should - at these prices - ensure they have the best people working on their clients. A massage chair that most nail salons have would have even been a nice touch but not even that was on offer.

Milan honestly gave me the best haircut I've ever had in my life. Trained In Serbia Milan has brought traditional Barbery excellence to Saskatoon and area. One downfall was that I was growing an epic moustache and he took his clippers to it and cut it flush with my lip (hence the 4/5 rating.). That was a big no no, clippers should never be used on a long moustache. Scissors leave a much more natural look. If he hadn't cut my hair so well I would have complained. Milan is now my regular Barber.

My barber was Mark, an Irishman bringing his trade to Saskatoon. He was friendly and talkative and we chatted about all kinds of subjects. We talked about how old fashioned barber shops aren't common in Canada but are on the upswing. He really knew his stuff, and when I first started to explain what I wanted he asked a few questions to make sure he got things right and explained what he would do. At the end of the night he had helpful styling tips. We started off in the chair as Mark skillfully used the buzzers. Nothing's worse than a military style buzz cut, but this was a skillfully layered trim. He worked on my beard as well, which is a long and thick tangle, but again was skillful and delicate, making it look great. I got a hot washcloth layer on my face, head scrubbed in the sink and some scalp tonic and styling gel rubbed through. I left looking and feeling like a new man. The whole process was a little pricey, coming out to $57. But it was all worth it and I'm glad I went. You can even grab a drink on your way in. If you do guy, just remember that there is a unisex salon in one side and a men's barbershop in the other. If that matters to you you might want to specify when booking.
