They had us pick colors, and when I said we didn't want gel, they insisted it was fine because they "match" gel colors to regular. Then they pulled out actual gel bottles. I repeated that I didn't want gel polish, and they told me, "It's ok, it's not gel without the lamp." I even asked if it would come off with normal remover and they said yes. Well, guess what--it won't come off! Now I'm stuck having to go somewhere else to pay to get this taken off, and my nails will likely be damaged in the process from buffing which is why I haven't used gel in years! How does a nail salon not even have regular nail polish? They flat-out lied to me, and I will never be back.

I am pretty sure he doesn't know curse words as his English is extremely limited. He did call the police after the customer began cursing and became belligerent over a nail color. The female customer who could not control her emotions had a friend with her who repeatedly asked her to stop and she would not stop yelling. I'm not saying who was at fault and can only speak to what I saw and heard. The male technician was upset but offered for the lady's nails to be free if she would leave the shop. However, she looked for any excuse to be loud, complain and keep fighting after they began to disagree. Very idiotic. This shop is awesome. The owner was calm and kind through the entire thing. They are very good at designs and very quick service. Being somewhat of a difficult customer (wanting 5 different colors on my nails and changing my mind) they were super cool about it. Outstanding service. Maria took care of me and Tracy took care of my friend. A lovely underrated spot. I will definitely be back. Super talented nail art.

This is not only highly inconvenient but deeply disrespectful, especially when we were literally walking out the door. This is the second time this has happened to us. My wife experienced the exact same last-minute cancellation a couple of months ago. The pattern is clear: poor planning and dismissive customer service. While their therapists may be skilled, the management appears completely incapable of basic scheduling reliability or common courtesy. As someone with severe service-related PTSD, I had been mentally preparing for weeks to even allow this appointment. The last-minute cancellation hit hard and felt incredibly inconsiderate of our time and well-being. If Grove Spa cannot value their customers' schedules and trust after booking so far ahead, then they clearly don't want our business. We will be taking it elsewhere, and I strongly encourage others to do the same. There are plenty of professional spas in the area that can actually show up when they say they will.
