Removal and full set acrylic. I had a 9 AM appointment. normally there's only one nail tech, so there was no need for me to request her but today there was another lady in there. My acrylic is so thick flooded my nailbeds, and besides of my nails shape for coffin was completely off and I asked her the magic question how long have you been doing nails calmly and she refused to answer so I calmly asked her again and she exploded on me and then said it was 16 years and she's the owner. I've been going there for almost a year. I have never seen that lady in my life but the point of the matter is , she's not a real nail tech. I did not see her license on the wall when I was walking out and the service was terrible and so is her skills. I will be adding photos. I had them cut my nails down so I can leave and now I'm headed to another nail shop to pay for a removal and a full set. read more

I needed a last minute fill and nail repair so i chose the closest which was a horrible idea, the older male that helped me was not only rood he clearly showed signs of not wanting to do my nails the way I wanted them or at all. he wasnt friendly he rushed threw and they ended up looking very bad. while I was there he was raising his voice at children there and just not friendly. I tipped him even tho I didn't want to because I kno some survive off there tips, he was even unhappy with my tip. I will not reccomend or return. dDONT RUN A BUSINESS AND WORK WITH the COMMUNITY IF YOU CANT BE KIND. read more

I've tried quite a few nail salons across Springfield and was happy with my experience at Expo. The staff was friendly and did the services as requested. I had 23yr old Tina do my pedicure who was the perfect balance of conversationalist and letting me zone/relax. Tip: they take reservations but don't write them down so just walk in. Like any other walk in place, u get better faster service at off times like 3pm instead of 5pm. read more

I'm a big fan of Expo nails. It's in a pretty slow part of town, but it's definitely worth the drive. I've been here off and on through the years, but I think I'm officially converted. They're super quick, super talented, and friendly above all. Plus, they offer a good pedicure with a glass of wine for only $27! They take walk ins, even right after work at 5 o'clock, so that's helpful for me. They do dip powder which is my new obsession, and Cindy was super awesome at creating a fun fall manicure for me. Clean, convenient, and well priced. I think I found my new nail salon! read more

I drove my daughter here a few months back. It was a Saturday about 40 minutes before the stated closing time. They rushed her through so fast for her nails. She was so disappointed and mad. To be fair: This is my very first set of acrylic nails. At $40 a set I'm only getting them for my upcoming wedding and then they'll be gone. I called ahead of time and asked if I needed to make an appointment or just come as a walk-in. They insisted that being a walk-in would be fine. So I show up about 5:30, waited about 15 mins. There was only one lady doing nails while 3 or 4 ladies were doing pedicures. The actual process of getting the nails on was fine, I felt it took a little long (apx 1 hour) but like I said I'm a nail-newbie. The lady got a little too close to my skin a couple of times and it hurt/bled a little bit. A lady came in just after I got started on my nail set, and she waited a long time and then caused a scene because of her long wait. Once she left all of the ladies working the place started speaking in a language I do not understand and they didn't sound happy. : ( I feel like my experience would have been much better if the shop had not have been under-staffed that day. I won't return due to my tom-boy-ness and frugality. Nails are unnecessary. read more

They give a great pedicure, but most of the staff are unable to provide good nail service. I also get very frustrated when they are not up front about how long the wait will be. Walk-ins often wait 30-60 minutes for service at peak times; my time is valuable and I do not always have the time to wait. The staff is very personable; but overall not worth the trouble. read more

I've been in to this shop a few times, and a week ago was the very last time this establishment will see a dollar of my money. They weren't very busy during my visit & yet the man who did my shellac manicure rushed thru the job, using absolutely no technique, he hurriedly applied the shellac as if it were nail polish. This left my hands looking like I did an at home acrylic job did by an untrained professional, but that's not the worst part. My spa.pedi was equally ridiculous. I sat in the chair for 5 minutes before the water temperature was adjusted to a cooler level suitable for my feet to go in. The nail tech went in so deep on my right index toe, it's now infected, and i had to smooth my own heels out in the tub later that evening. The prices are cheap, but so is there work. read more

I have been going to this salon off and on for 10 years and today was a huge disappointment!!!! Simply wanted my nails cut down and painted. Waited over an hour for the girl to finish another lady just for her to skip me and start someone who walked in 30 minutes after me!!! Their "regulars" will take presidents over anyone else who walks in, regardless of first come. No longer suggesting this salon to anyone else. read more
