Another possible plus, depending on what you're looking for: this location is located inside a HUGE mall (seriously, you could walk miles here), so you have plenty of entertainment and dining options to plan around your movie. The average: Prices are about what you'd expect. Around 20 bucks for a ticket including service fees etc. The negative: this theater needs an update and is falling behind today's cinema standard. Seats were better than the old school seats, but did not recline or have tables or any other bells and whistles. From what I understand, there are some auditoriums with reclining seats, but mine did not boast that perk. I will say the theater is clean, however. I can't say much about crowd control or how the staff deals with rowdy patrons because I attended a movie that only had maybe 15 people in attendance, and it was pretty chill. read more

I've been here a couple of times, and while it's not my favorite movie theater in Middle TN, it does the trick and it's pretty easy to get to on a weeknight. I don't really recommend visiting on a weekend, as it is right next to the Opry, and will probably be impossible to find parking! Parking is tricky even on a weeknight, but hey, that's Nashville for you. Tuesday nights are the move, with discounted tickets on all movies. The concessions line moved quickly, and the theater itself was clean. My popcorn was perfectly buttered and salted, albeit a bit pricey. My big complaint with this Regal is that they don't have recliners! These are your standard movie theater seats, and while that's fine every once in a while, it definitely stops us from making this our regular theater, especially when you are paying full price for tickets. I believe all of the other Regal locations around Nashville have recliners, so I'm not sure why this theater hasn't been updated ... but I would love to see them get a refresh! read more

After spending a couple years visiting other theater chains, we decided to visit the Regal Opry Mills for the 4DX experience. While I thought I knew what to expect, I feel like the Regal moviegoing experience has declined significantly in the last few years. My biggest complaint was that they were so eager to clear out the theater, they turned the lights on with more than five minutes left in the movie. At least wait until the end credits to hurry people out! And I was prepared for high concession prices but they do seem quite a bit more expensive than their competitors in the area. When they closed our 4DX theater near Raleigh, NC, I was SO bummed out. When we found out there was one in Nashville during a visit with family, we HAD to go. Parking was fairly easy as there's a lot of it, but it's difficult if there's a show at the Opry and it can get very crowded. It was quite pricey seeing a 4DX movie here with popcorn and a drink. For three people, we spent well over $150 which is honestly, stupid expensive. Thankfully, we saw the newest Avatar so at least we spent 4 something hours here to get some of our moneys worth (except the movie was quite boring and the worst one of the franchise). The 4DX seating was great and we will definitely be back for more movie thrills when we move to TN. However, due to the costs, we won't be making a habit out of going often. read more

I been Regal member for a very long time, regal cinemas is a major movie theater chain with several locations around the US. In South Beach Florida they have one on Lincoln't Road just a couple blocks from my condo on West Ave that open my membership and I been a loyal costumer since. They drop the ball for a while but they bounce back after the pandemic. Needless to say I am a moviholic because movies are entertaining to me and for a couple of hours I forget about the madness in the outside world. Some locations are better than others however they have continue providing great costumer service, awesome sound, comfortable seating and yes some locations have recliners. I wish the food have less sodium but if you need popcorn with alsmot to no salt you can ask nasty and they will accommodate your request but will take a little longer. About the rest of the food is just overprices carbs like pizza, chicken fingers, hot dogs and so on. Candy galore all you want and more for your sugar rush. They have Pepsi products. One bag that I love because I am a moviholic. Regal Cinemas offers a free loyalty program called the Regal Crown Club. Members earn credits on ticket and concession purchases which can be redeemed for rewards like concessions, merchandise, and even free movies. Date of visit: March 14, 2025 We do not have any Regals back home, and while I am sure I have been to one here or there, it's likely been quite some time since I have frequented this chain of theatres. Tickets were a bit pricey at about $13.50 before tax for a matinee on a quiet Friday morning, yet staff in the lobby was very friendly, offering guidance for our auditorium, which was empty save for us, a nice bonus! The seats did not recline, but they did rock and the back was tall enough to allow for head support, both of which I appreciated. The auditorium was clean as were the bathrooms; there is a lot to like at this theatre, despite some of the newer features of other movie chains. read more

Came here to see Twisters in 4D. Man what an experience. I had experienced something similar at Universal studios, so I kinda knew what I was getting myself into. Of course, this isn't Universal, but it's a nice runner up for this kind of experience. Theater was very clean. Ticket attendants were quick with scanning to get you in. The concession staff was very prompt, but said very few words. The concession stand attendant that assisted me talked very low and didn't seem like she wanted to be there. Of course, expect to pay your usual $9-$11 for popcorn and $8-$10 for found rain sodas depending on size. They do have a bar for alcoholic drinks (major plus) and an ice machine (major major plus). If you get a chance to see a movie in 4D don't pass up on the offer. Dead pool would be a great one to see in 4D when it comes out. read more

While on vacation, I craved seeing a movie. Being in a movie theatre to hibernate during an excessive heat warning seemed fitting. The closest movie theatre where I was staying was this Regal at Opry Mills. I had been to Opry Mills to shop a few days earlier. I tend to visit standalone movie theatres, but felt that checking this one out at a mall would be fun. I parked as close to entrance 6 as I could. There was a show happening at the Grand Ole Opry, so the parking lot to accommodate both was busy. I also got here over an hour before my movie. It was past 5:30 pm. If you are a minor, you need to be with an adult to get into the mall. It took a bit longer to enter due to security checks, but all was fine. The lineup to buy tickets was long. I didn't buy a ticket in advance. I recommend that you do to make things easier and save you some time. I eventually got to the front to buy my ticket nearly an hour later. I wanted the 7 pm show. I paid for my admission with a credit card. The woman was delightful. You choose your seat using the seating chart on the screen. Done! I went to visit the women's washroom. It was clean. No complaints whatsoever. The concession stands also had lineups, but they weren't that bad. I settled for what I typically get at the movies: - A small Diet Pepsi - A small bag of popcorn I paid with my credit card, thanked the nice man, grabbed my goodies, and headed to the theatre number on my ticket. This place does have IMAX. I finally went to see Top Gun: Maverick. It wasn't on IMAX. I felt like I was the only person who hadn't seen this flick. Not anymore! My seat was comfy. I could recline in it. There was lots of leg room. I loved it. My small Diet Pepsi looked huge in the drink holder. I was afraid to see what the large looked like. The small popcorn was the perfect size. I was so happy with how yummy it was. The air conditioning was effective throughout the building. I wasn't cold in the theatre. However, if you are sensitive to the cold, you may want to bring a light cardigan during the summer. The screen was crisp. There really wasn't a bad seat to watch a movie. The sound was great, especially for an action movie. I had a good time and loved the movie. My show was for 7 pm. I made it with lots of time to spare, despite the long lineup to buy a ticket. It's a good venue to take in a flick. I'm glad that I got my movie fix, which sparked me to watch three other movies during my time in Nashville, at different locations. (316) read more

Talk about an outdated movie theater. Seats that don't recline, having to get up so the person next to you can pass by to sit down? No thanks. I go to watch movies to be comfortable. The only reason I came to this location was because the movie I wanted to see was full at my usual theater. Not to mention the concession stand line took 30 minutes when there was roughly 8 people in front of us. They do have a good selection of candy, I'll give them that. Parking here? Forget about it. You better enjoy walking to make it from your car to the front door. Especially if the mall is open and busy. The ticket prices at this location are $2 higher than the Regal location 10 minutes away. I frequent the mall a lot and often walk to the theater to grab a quick snack from concessions or maybe grab some theater promo like a popcorn bucket or something as I collect those. And of course, see movies there. Today I went in and they want your ticket a the door, which is odd but fine, whatever. I stand beside the ticket taker which are two older individuals who are too busy watching TikTok videos with each other. After a bit and I say excuse me, they give me a rude look because they have to pause their stupid video, I say can I go up and just get concessions, which is what I have said prior. The dude, with a bit of sass said "no you have to have a ticket." And gives this weird snarky look. Fine, I won't buy anything. Last time I did I spent a lot. (Unfortunately for my wallet but the stuff was cool.) The man found it funny as he unpaused his video and laughed as I walked away. How about hiring people to take tickets past concessions like every other theater does. You'd be surprised how many people go in just for that stuff. Also being rude, sassy and preoccupied with tiktok is a horrible look for your business. I will not be watching movies here anymore either. It might sound crazy, but my wife gave me the best xmas present ever. 3-hours of peace and quiet and tickets to Spider-Man: No way home in IMAX. The theater was huge and I love that you purchase your actual seats and it's not just a free for all. They are doing blocks of seats here for social distancing and you could definitely tell; most everyone had a large empty space around them. The snacks here are pretty basic, but they do have ,for a limited time, nachos made with Doritos or cheesy popcorn with flaming hot Cheetos mixed in. I didn't opt for any of this because I was heading to dinner after the movie, but the nachos looked amazing. Make sure to park near the Grand Old Opry otherwise you're in for a walk. I was born in the early 80's, so I remember having the "standard' theater seats (non-electrical, non-reclining). With ticket prices and concessions being as high as they are, I've been pretty used to a certain standard to offset the cost. This theater hasn't caught up with the times, despite the costs being just as high. Not sure if they understand what "Regal" actually means? If you like to use seasoning on your ($10) popcorn, be prepared to pay extra for it. I'm not sure if these issues are "Regal-wide" or just this specific theater, but if it's the former they need to do more market research. I'm well overdue for an update of this one. Since becoming a Regal Unlimited subscriber a few months back, this location has become a frequent stop for me. Selling points are that there's always plenty of free parking, it's adjacent to dining options, the staff here always know what they're doing and do it well, and you have the IMAX and RDX options. Plus the food counter has pretzel and other options back and the bar is (usually) open if that's your thing. Lots of screens and they tend to get a few films thy don't run at any other location. So while if I were paying for each ticket face value I'd have some complaints that they charge more than the other local regals, if you're Unlimited this will likely be one of your top two in the Nashville area. read more

If you thought 3D was awesome then 4DX will blow your mind and enhance the movie watching experience. Sit back and enjoy motion seats and effects such as; wind, fog, misty rain, lightening, and water (option to manually turn your seat off and on) that are in sync with the action on screen. Don't be alarmed with the occasional small puffs of air behind your head or abrupt pushes on the back of the seat. Some find it annoying but for me it feels like a knead massage. The seats are arranged in a rows of four that do not recline but are large and comfortable with plenty of leg room. I have been to this theater three times for this experience: James Bond, Ghostbusters, and recently Spider Man: No Way Home. Concession is ok unless it is a Blockbuster movie opening weekend. All and all it is a fun unique experience worth trying at least once. read more

Just saw a movie in the 4dx theater, and it was sooo much fun! We have the unlimited movie pass, so it was just a surcharge to see the Meg 2 in the 4dx. It felt like were at an amusement park! The seats were comfortable, and spaced out nicely. The effects were awesome! There was water, smoke, different lighting effects, smells, air elements, and the entire seats hurled you around. It was a good time, but I would suggest seeing a movie with not a very sophisticated plot line. It could get lost in the motions. Overall the theater is nice, but the concession lines are always very long. read more

I came here to see The Art of Self-Defense movie. I heard rave reviews about it, and we had time to blow. The best thing about this movie theater is that it has a nice bar and a wide selection of mixed drinks at reasonable prices. I picked up a nice raspberry mixed drink. My husband got a large beer. I am not one to spend my vacation time in a movie theater- I can do that at home. However, my recent visit to Nashville was plagued with cold, rainy weather and after a certain point it became the most viable option for weekday evening entertainment. No issues with audio or video, auditorium seating was comfortable, concessions typical. Appreciate that this theater has an exterior entrance so you don't have to wind your way through the mall itself, and you can purchase and reserve specific seats in advance for particular showings. However, ticket pricing. I am well aware of typical ticket pricing and went shortly after lunch only to find that a 3PM showing is not considered matinee because that ends at 3PM and doesn't apply to movies that start at 3PM. Not sure what logic that uses, but there were several movies that deliberately started just five minutes after the cutoff, ostensibly to maximize profits. It's petty. I get it, you're a business, but $15/pp to see a movie at 3PM is ridiculous. Apparently only the first showing of the day is considered matinee. read more

If i could give this experience a 0 star i would... Drove 5.5 hours for st louis to see Oppenheimer in 70mm IMAX and the audio restarted an hour and 20! minutes into the showing. Instead of adding an extra showing, re syncing audio or giving other tickets to a later showing all of us were instead refunded... Once the line for refunds was 100 people long they started to offer ticket vouchers as another form or refund AND THE VOUCHERS WERE EXPIRED... Ridiculous experience and im extremely frustrated I traveled and spent hundreds of dollars to come here for one or the worst viewing experiences ive ever been a part of. This is my first time at the Opry Mills location. I have never experienced the Screen X technology and think its pretty cool. The screen is not curved 270 degrees rather the extensions of the main screen are projected to a 90 degree angle. To truly enjoy this you need to get seats way far in the back and not close up front as you would have to turn your head side to side to make sure you don't miss anything, which I didn't think this was an issue here since we got middle seats. One thing I noticed is that the room had a slight smell of piss which would come and go which at the beginning was somewhat annoying, but later it was not noticeable. Here for Deadpool, I was pleased with the seating and arrangements at this twenty-screen cinema at the end of the massive Opry Mills shopping plaza. It was a week night showing and so there was plenty of space. I had no one directly behind me, no one directly in front of me and the rest of my row was empty. Pretty good for a "blockbuster" movie, eh? Arm rests fold up, so I was able to move one up to lean on the other. The row was a little narrower than I would have liked, but at 6', I am taller than many. Sound quality was great, picture quality was great. And this was just the "regular" showing and not the enhanced RPX or IMAX cinema. I did not buy any concessions or such. Just the movie, which was $12. Tip: Exit *away* from the mall and it will send you out the back entrance towards Opry Mills Drive and the highway. Heading *to* the mall will take a lot longer! read more

I really enjoy this movie theater. There are several here in the Nashville area that I like, but If I am going to pay big dollars to see something on the big screen...I prefer this one!!! I earn free movies, popcorn and sodas all time!! Which is very helpful, plus I usually always have a coupon for $2 off via my entertainment guide book for Nashville...so anything to make it more budget friendly. Regal, you have to do better. You have to. As a brand and across the board, it seems that there are several deficiencies that need to be addressed. From where I sit, AMC is lapping you. I saw Avengers: Endgame here and it almost ended me! I don't like seeing movies on opening weekend. The crowds are ridiculous and no one knows how to act in public anymore. I was content to let a few weeks go by and then see it. But since (say it with me) people don't know how to act and spoiling the movie that's the culmination of a decade of people's time is funny to some people, I knew I would need to see if sooner than later, lest I find myself hiding from the internet (and, with my job I can't do that). So, I started looking for a theater. I'll go on the record as stating that I am not fond of reserving seats prior to the movie. 'Full' theaters seldom ever are, people don't respect seats reserved to others and it's an unnecessary cluster and cash grab. No me gusta. But that's where we are as a viewing society (and also why I like seeing movies later) so I was stuck with the system. Shockingly*, every viewing was sold out at other theaters which left Opry Mills. I wanted to see the movie in IMAX but with an 11 pm start time and a 3 hour run time, that wasn't happening so... 2D. Let's do this. Or, not. The theater (even after 8 pm) was overrun with people and children. This was a school night. School is still in session. What kind of terrible parents are bringing their kids to movies this late? Crowds were everywhere but workers were not. I counted 2 ushers for the entire theater, one security guard, one manager who hid in back, and 4 concession stand workers. To the surprise of no one, the concession stand line didn't move. I stood in in for 28 minutes and got no where near the front. There was no urgency from the workers (minimum wage, I get it) and no plan from the managers (on a night like that, how about prebagging popcorn to expedite wait times? Use.your.brain) and no effs given at all -- including from me. I left the line, went into the theater and, yep, someone was in my seat. This creep acted as though reading numbers was a new concept. But knowing that a.) people are crazy and b.) people like to shoot, I sat one seat over and lived to scowl another day. As I sat... what? Smoke? Is this place on fire? No. Someone was vaping. Klassy. And then I realized that I had no reclining seat. I was the same old scratchy, dirty seat we all sat in years ago. If I am paying $20 for a ticket, I want to recline... especially for a movie in high demand. Ugh. And then the real fun started. The lights went down, the movie started and... the idiots next to me started talking (I shut that down with a quickness) and proceeded to tape the entire 3 hour movie on their phoneS. Plural. I said something but reminded myself a.) crazy and b.) guns. But I was totally disgusted. When I left the theater (I paid $20; I wasn't about to wander the halls looking for someone in authority because no one in authority had a handle on anything happening), I couldn't find an usher so I talked to the one security guard. She, too, was out of effs. She also told me that she'd broken up several fights, ushered out screaming children and their irresponsible parents, and late start times of movies. Never again, Regal Opry Mills. Never.Again. Idiots on the internet 'forced' me into the situation and idiots at this movie theater chased me away forever. Get a handle on your business, Regal.
