    Walk way and seating

Disgusting. Yes, people should carry their trash out. But, the business needs to clean as well. Shared these pics with manager after the movie of what was there when we first went inside.

Two officers with guns on duty here.... Are things that bad here!?

Why all the bad reviews? Did I come on good days or something or is everybody used to Tinseltown? I probably have been here about 5 times and there were only two times that I had a unpleasant experience, only one of them being on their tab. The second time I visited here I was here with my kids and noticed it was kind of moldy smelling and no air recirculating through out the theater one could tell. After repeated 4 attempts to get some air going we walked out with a lot of discomfort and glad to leave but were stopped by the gentleman that we spoke with about the situation. He said the air conditioner stopped working and they were trying to get it back on but to no avail. This accompanied by 3 tickets to come back at any regular movie (non 3d) which I gladly excepted and the manager apologizing profusely. The movies are new just as any other theater, there are video games you and your kids can be entertained by while waiting for the time to start as well as your usual concession stand. I would see it as a mini tinseltown. One kind of strange thing to me but also a secure feeling when I went one weekend was seeing two commissioned officers/security (armed) standing by the entrance where they take your ticket to get in. Is the area that bad or are they trying to make sure you don't get robbed while in the theater? After lowering my eye brows back to protocol position I realized that this was most likely for me and my kid's protection and welcomed it happily. I have the choice of going one way 5 minutes to Tinseltown or 10 minutes to Hollywood Theaters but I'll take this one because it feels a little more quaint. If you cannot find this theater it is located on the same parking lot as Parkdale Mall and caddy corner to a fuddruckers. If you still cannot find it you must first open your eyes while driving, hard to miss. Price for 3d is $13 a person. Parking is ample. Restrooms are clean. Workers are always courteous. This is the end of the review.

Very outdated theater. It's located within Parkdale Mall premises and while driving there, I see people almost in every angle loitering. Not a bad thing, but at night, don't really want to see too many people walking around (in a town where no one walks anywhere). They have cops on duty, which is comforting and much needed. Inside, it's small and straightforward. Carpet. Once in the theater, it was pretty small - maybe 10, 11 rows. The screen was so small as opposed to what I'm used to and the sound wasn't that great. Tinseltown doesn't feel as sketch and it's bigger.

    Little small screen

The only movie theater that I've seen that still has the old uncomfortable chairs. The popcorn was also super salty.

At 64 yrs old, I have visited the theater more times than I can count. The theater is clean, comfortable and the employees are courteous.

Great theater! They have a rule restricting admission to teenagers without an adult supervisor after 8pm on the weekends. They do check IDs.

The screens are really small.. They obviously don't clean after every show. It's kinda stinky.

Small, smells moldy, good quality screen, although too small. Would drive the extra 5 miles to get better seats.

Times have changed a lot, and downtown is nearly dead. But people do still go to see the shows at the Julie Rogers Theatre. They go to the Jefferson Theatre too, but for shows that need a big stage and expect bigger crowds, then Julie Rogers it is. And it is classy. Going up the stairs between the Greek columns into the building is like entering the world of The Great Gatsby. It has the nicest carpet, the nicest wallpaper, the nicest couches, the nicest restrooms, the nicest chandeliers. And then you enter the auditorium, and it has the nicest acoustics. The Southeast Texas Symphony is the main tenant, but they also hosted a praise & worship event with Michael W. Smith last year, along with many others. One Yelper posted about seeing the dinosaur-rock band Foreigner here. The Symphony, that's why we went. We got two tickets, the Hunny put on a nice dress, I put on my slacks and Rush Limbaugh No Boundaries tie, and in we went. Parking was an issue, but that's because there were two other big events downtown that night. We were pretty far back, but you go for the music, not to see someone's facial expressions. Really, putting a big screen up in this hall would simply ruin it. They didn't need microphones. Seats were comfortable. It's not intimate, but it's also not an arena where you get lost in the crowd. The past lives on at the Julie Rogers. And this is the place to see a good show and enjoy the atmosphere.

You can imagine the feeling when I found out that they were literally gonna perform in the neck of my woods. We drove to Beaumont to attend the concert. It was a decent sized theatre and was packed inside. We got good seats towards the stage. The theatre had a nice sized stage, plenty of seating, great lighting and sound features. The concert was a hit. Too bad Lou Gramm doesn't sing for them, but nonetheless, all the remaining crew members were the same. The concert lasted for a couple of hours, and they played all the original hits. The crowd was all into it (including myself), and I was just rock n rolling throughout the night. I don't believe I sat down for even a minute. The theatre has all sorts of performances. I look forward to attending more plays/concerts at this facility.

Offering wide leather reclining chairs with no issues, it's a cool theater (as far as I've experienced). Bathrooms are kept clean as well from what I've seen, and the Staff are pleasant (those I've encountered). Located in a shopping plaza, there's, of course, plenty of parking available. This location (for my friends and I) is often our go-to because it's less crowded and we stand to get more times to choose from. It also doesn't hurt that across the parking lot is Marble Slab Creamery, a nice place to grab a sweet treat after the show. Check it out!

It's right off I-10 and not far from the Washburn Tunnel, making it an easy and strategic stop--especially for cheap matinees when I'm trying to dodge traffic I've even timed appointments at the Discount Tire next door so I can catch a movie while my car gets worked on. Pro tip: make an afternoon of it with a happy hour stop at Chili's in the same plaza before your show--apps, a margarita, then a short walk to the theater? Yes, please. This theater knows its audience. They regularly feature Spanish-language films, anime, and more alternative or niche flicks you don't always see at big chains. It's a small but meaningful sign that they're paying attention to the community they serve, and I respect that. Inside, it's mostly clean and has been upgraded with recliner seating, which at this point is a must. Last visit, they didn't have Snow Caps (devastating, I know), but they do offer self-serve butter and little popcorn salt cups so you can fine-tune your snack game throughout the film--love that detail. Overall, it's a laid-back, affordable, and surprisingly thoughtful place to catch a movie, whether you're here for the blockbusters or something a little off the beaten path.

I have seen two movies here, both of them being 3d and have not noticed the damage that others have seen. I might have walked in with my eyes closed but all I can say is the theater does appear small from the outside and no notable odors coming from anywhere except from the popcorn machine. One might feel that this is a sub standard theatre if you've been spoiled to the likes of the Silverado's and Tinsletowns but it's perfect if you dwell close by and do not want to drive into the other town. One thing I can say is at least it's better than the dollar theaters, you do however pay full price for something that is a little outdated. If you can contain yourself for 20 minutes and want better experiences then there is Tinsletown on I 10 as well as Hollywood Theaters by Parkdale Mall. It's $11 for a bucket of popcorn *ouch*, $6 for a large soda *ouch* and $11 for an adult priced 3d ticket *kind of ouch* but your local dollar store across the highway can help you with certain unwanted items brought in if you know what I mean *wink wink*. The staff on both occasions did not appear rude however but did not jump up and down for joy as they greet you, at least they don't show the "I'd rather be somewhere else" blues but don't expect a thank you, enjoy your movie" spiel either. Parking is.....well it's attached to the mall so you know how the parking is. Back up a little, since this mall is almost a ghost town you will NEVER have problems with parking. The restrooms do not have paper and things thrown all over the place but it is kind of hard to mess up if you don't have that many patrons to do it in the first place, not a bad thing if you are the one that is delegated to clean these. Climate is comfortable, not too hot, not too cold inside.

Dear Movie Theater owners,…read more I went to see Transporter tonight and a few movie goers showed up and did not pay. They were MICE. Yes, you read correctly MICE. I sat down and the movie started then I saw something out the corner of my eye come towards me on the floor. I moved further up just in case and one was sitting in the aisle by my current seat so I picked my feet up. Then 20 mins into the movie another was sitting on the steps. Just sitting there. I tried to record it but it was too dark. Did not want to take a picture because the flash would have gone off and I did not want to disturb anyone. Just an FYI they were babies which mean mom and pops were not far away. Disgusting. I think it is time to suck it up and drive to BMT. Good luck!
