We saw Wicked two days ago and it was not a good experience. The sound was awful; several parts sounded like they were underwater. Anytime the music got loud the sound would crackle and go in and out. The lighting on the screen was so dim it was hard to see at times. Would not go to this theater again. Look. Regal Star needs a lot of improvements. The seating needs fixing, the prices and food options need improving, and most importantly, please keep the cleanliness to a higher standard. I know most people who would rather go to other cinemas. Meaning, they'd rather drive extra miles up the road, most likely around 20 extra minutes just because most think it's a better cinema. However, the movie selection has always held out, and the location is one of the staples in Beaumont. You can walk right from the mall into Regal. This being said however, if they fixed the problems listed, and started competing with other Cinemas. They could transform this into a profit machine! read more

We went to the 5:05 movie yesterday and the visit was horrible. Not only were they out of hotdogs (how could that happen on a weekday afternoon show) but the theater we were in was terrible and the restrooms were worse. It appeared neither had not been cleaned all day. We only saw one employee there. It used to be a nice place but seems housekeeping and proper food orders have gone out the window. We will no longer visit this place. read more

Why all the bad reviews? Did I come on good days or something or is everybody used to Tinseltown? I probably have been here about 5 times and there were only two times that I had a unpleasant experience, only one of them being on their tab. The second time I visited here I was here with my kids and noticed it was kind of moldy smelling and no air recirculating through out the theater one could tell. After repeated 4 attempts to get some air going we walked out with a lot of discomfort and glad to leave but were stopped by the gentleman that we spoke with about the situation. He said the air conditioner stopped working and they were trying to get it back on but to no avail. This accompanied by 3 tickets to come back at any regular movie (non 3d) which I gladly excepted and the manager apologizing profusely. The movies are new just as any other theater, there are video games you and your kids can be entertained by while waiting for the time to start as well as your usual concession stand. I would see it as a mini tinseltown. One kind of strange thing to me but also a secure feeling when I went one weekend was seeing two commissioned officers/security (armed) standing by the entrance where they take your ticket to get in. Is the area that bad or are they trying to make sure you don't get robbed while in the theater? After lowering my eye brows back to protocol position I realized that this was most likely for me and my kid's protection and welcomed it happily. I have the choice of going one way 5 minutes to Tinseltown or 10 minutes to Hollywood Theaters but I'll take this one because it feels a little more quaint. If you cannot find this theater it is located on the same parking lot as Parkdale Mall and caddy corner to a fuddruckers. If you still cannot find it you must first open your eyes while driving, hard to miss. Price for 3d is $13 a person. Parking is ample. Restrooms are clean. Workers are always courteous. Very outdated theater. It's located within Parkdale Mall premises and while driving there, I see people almost in every angle loitering. Not a bad thing, but at night, don't really want to see too many people walking around (in a town where no one walks anywhere). They have cops on duty, which is comforting and much needed. Inside, it's small and straightforward. Carpet. Once in the theater, it was pretty small - maybe 10, 11 rows. The screen was so small as opposed to what I'm used to and the sound wasn't that great. Tinseltown doesn't feel as sketch and it's bigger. read more

The only movie theater that I've seen that still has the old uncomfortable chairs. The popcorn was also super salty.

Like this theatre's sound system more so than the competitor. Louder and seems more dynamic. What's nicer is the fact that it's no longer drop your punk/thug kid off on Saturday night to terrorize all the family moviegoers to the point they won't return! read more

Honestly think this will be last visit to your cinema in Beaumont, Texas. I come here almost weekly. I'm always asked if I'd like to use my rewards card. I'd love to. But every single time I've been you've never had any available for distribution. Leads me to think this program doesn't really exist. And how is it possible at 7:45 on a Saturday night that your entire theater is completely out of Diet Pepsi??? I'd much rather prefer Diet Coke. Luckily the other theater further south carries Diet Coke, friendly staff, and coupons available via email. Good luck, Regal. I won't be back. read more

When in town I really try to visit the other theater, but this location does have more available movie times. It's an older theater. Needs a deep cleaning and upgrade to the sound system. I will say the staff is friendlier at this location. A good movie is a good movie. Enjoy! read more

I didn't even want to give a star! I went here to watch a movie and started itching 10 minutes in. It really stunk! I thought it was just me and my sensitive and me being paranoid about germs. I left after an hour with a bite on my elbow. The person I was with also said they were itching! Upon leaving there was NO ONE anywhere to be found that worked there... I went to my car thinking maybe I shouldn't say anything. I couldn't leave the parking lot without deciding to go back in and the doors were locked and no one would answer the phone... I swear if I end up with scabies I'll be PISSED! read more

At 64 yrs old, I have visited the theater more times than I can count. The theater is clean, comfortable and the employees are courteous.

For Beaumont it's s good quick theatre. No better or worse than the competition. Popcorn was a little stale. Theatre was clean. read more

Went here a few months back. Bought snacks and drinks. Was a line to give tickets. Ticket taker wanted to look in my wife purse. I said for what? Weapons. Sigh, really? They were adamant and apparently check any and all bags. I argued with them. So are you patting everyone down? They said No. I responded someone could put a gun in their pocket. why not metal detectors? No reply. This is more about bringing in your own water or snacks then anything else i think. They just will not say this. I refused to let them look in my wife private belongings. It just isn't right. Everyone around me acted like i was a nut job. The sheep lined up to let Regal scrounge through all their personal belongings. I got a refund for all my items and will not be back. I go to Cinemark now. Never had any issues there. Also, if i knew before this was not gun friendly i wouldn't have gone. Personal Choice on that. read more

Great theater! They have a rule restricting admission to teenagers without an adult supervisor after 8pm on the weekends. They do check IDs.

Stinks like years of popcorn grease. Anytime I go here I end up regretting it. Not the movie per say or the staff but being around the kind of people who go here. They tend to be the more casual types that aren't dedicated to actually watching films. The last time I went, on our row alone two people were texting mid film, one doing that end of a drink straw solo and one was loudly snoring. These folks are not dedicated enough to drive to Tinseltown... maybe just cruising Dowlen and thought what the heck... let's catch a movie? The screens are awfully small too. This place is just plain dirty. We walked into the theater and there was popcorn everywhere, open boxes of candy, the seats are stained. It seems weird. For the cost of seeing a movie, I want to feel comfortable being there watching the movie. I won't come back ever. I'm sticking with Tinseltown. read more

Service is pretty good, but the facilities are just ok. The bathrooms are almost always gross, and the stall doors are placed so close to the toilets that it's challenging to get in and out to use the bathroom. Otherwise, it's just another movie theater. Nothing great, nothing awful. read more

paid $10+ for several tickets to go watch a 3 hour long movie in the old-school (uncomfortable) seats on the night of its premier. about two and a half hours into the movie, the MOST important part of it, the CLIMAX of the movie, the projector cuts off, with the audio still playing. So, after about 30 seconds of this, i ran out into the lobby and i couldn't find a single employee ANYWHERE. finally i found a cop who i guess was on security detail and asked if he knew where i could find an employee and he said "what's the problem?" so i told him, he talks to someone over the walkie talkie and a few seconds later the person responds and says it's back on. so i go back into the theater, and it's not back on, the audio is still playing, and the movie is being ruined for everyone in the theater. i tell the cop again, he tells the person over the radio, and they in an IRRITATED tone respond "ugh, it's fine, give me a second" and then a second later say "it's back on" as if the complaint is the problem!!!! like, come on, you wasted a theater full of people's nights and your attitude is aggressively irritable and not apologetic in the slightest. They finally put it on and rewind it about 25 minutes too far, so we have to watch 25 minutes over again. a 3 hour movie turned into a 3 hour and 45 minute movie. Not a single person was offered a refund or a voucher for another movie, as there was NOBODY in the lobby or ticketing booth after the movie. Please, pay whatever you have to pay and go to cinemark. i promise it's a WAY better theater and i've never had a bad experience there. it may be a dollar or two more per ticket, but they have reclining seats, better projectors, better audio systems, and a staff that actually cares about its customers. read more

First time visit tonight to see the premier of Cpt America 2... very disappointed with quality of projection and service... the curtain was still partially closed during the first five minutes of the film. Come on, I paid good money to see this film, exercise a little care in the presentation... I had to return to the lobby and raise hell... did the management address the unsatisfied customers afterward? NO...Simple problems in presentation like this indicates the place is run unprofessionally with little regard for film or the movie going experience and could care less about the customer... read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I was going to see "Insidious" as a double date tonight. We got to theatre late when movie first started. Sat down and I turned my phone on silent and simply texted my mom "there" to let her know I got there safely and put my phone away. Immediately the manager came over to my boyfriend and I and asked us to leave because I was on my phone. I said "Sir, I've been coming here for years. I never text during a movie, I was just letting my mom know I got here safely" and he said "you got to go". He walked away and came back and said "Now. I'm going to get security if you don't". So we got up and walked out and I told him I had to leave my grandma's birthday dinner early to come to the movies and that I wasn't going to get on my phone again. But he was firm on kicking us out. He said he told everyone before the movie started to not get on their phone and we told him we got there late. He said "that's not my problem". I'm horrified. I started crying because I felt so terrible for ruining our double date, but I knew it wasn't my fault. He was just being a jerk. All of the police officers were very comforting and sweet to me and agreed the management is rude. The other lady manager walked away from me while I was talking to her with tears. So rude!! It was like the Salem Witchcraft Trials at Regal tonight. He was kicking people out left and right apparently. The manager dug himself in a hole so deep he couldn't get himself out of. We met two other girls outside who were kicked out for texting their mom too and they claimed that they got their refund but they weren't even allowed to see another movie that night at another time because they got kicked out. Don't come here! Go to Tinseltown. Their seats are better anyways... read more
