# Warning to Potential Regency Mattress Buyers I'm writing to caution those considering purchasing a mattress from Regency about my disappointing experience. I was steered into purchasing, their brand which is called Atlantic something or another, which they say is the same manufacturer as Kingsdown (fairly well known better than decent brand) it just has their tag on it. I purchased two twin XL mattresses @ $1,899 each, plus the 2 adjustable frames. - The mattresses took 4.5 weeks to arrive, despite being promised a two week timeframe( I specifically asked if they were in stock and was told they were)... After speaking to one of the store managers, I was told the truck would come in on Friday and I would have my mattresses on Wednesday. When I receive the call to confirm the delivery, I was told that it would be on Saturday which I had plans to be out of town. After communicating with the store and their customer service department, they all confirm there was absolutely nothing that they could do so I had to be inconvenience once again change my plans so I could be home for the delivery on that Saturday - *The mattresses arrived with noticeable dips, now mind you I purchase two separate mattresses, and both of them had these significant dips in them. Which I immediately reported to Driver and the store, I took pictures of said mattresses to the store, (the dips could be clearly seen in The store suggested that it might take a day or two for the mattress to completely fill out due to the way it was packaged??? And took the pictures and said they would forward them to customerservice and someone would be in touch with me on Monday (that was Saturday) Needless to say didn't get a call until Wednesday. I was given two options. - 1. I was told to wait 2.5 weeks for an inspection, mind you I had already provided the pictures and all the view them agreed that something was wrong... and once the inspector came out and determined, the mattress defective I would then have to wait for a new set to be made and delivered, which took for and a half weeks the first time around. The second option was to use the extended Warranty that I purchased to do a mattress exchange that would cost me an additional $1100....Wait! what about this makes any sense???your product is defective, sir!!! So you're telling me my only options are to wait two weeks for an inspection and then God knows how long for a new mattress to be delivered, which, by the way they told me they would wave the delivery fee as if they were doing me a favor, sir your product is defective!!! You received every penny for said product before it was delivered and there is absolutely no accountability on your part, nor does it bother you in the lease because I the consumer that is being inconvenience over and over again. I am aggravated to the point of seeking legal advice. My body is sore as the mattress is uncomfortable due to the defect. *Advice to Others* - *Be Cautious*: Potential buyers, beware of Regency's Atlantic brand mattresses, and their lack of customer service and accountability. I've had positive experiences with Regency in the past, but this recent encounter has been extremely frustrating and disappointing to say the least... I'm sharing my experience to help others avoid the same... By the way, spoke to a neighbor who shared she had the same experience, same product same store.... Regency the experience should not stop after purchase and exchange of funds. This whole thing has put a very bad taste in my mouth, I will come through your doors again, except to try to get this situation resolved... and I will warn others to hopefully prevent them from having to go through what I've gone through with you. We purchased a mattress and power base from Regency Furniture in Fredericksburg, VA. The in-store experience was wonderful. Our salesperson was very knowledgeable and assisted us in making selections to fit our needs. Everyone we talked to that day was friendly. During our discussions with the sales person, we inquired about having our existing box spring and mattress hauled away. The store manager was consulted and it was agreed to for a fee. A few days before the delivery, the delivery company called to confirm the delivery. At that time I asked about the haul away, and it was confirmed that both pieces were on the order to be picked up. On the day of the delivery, the delivery person said he we would take the mattress but would not take the box spring. My wife called the store and the store asked to speak to the delivery guy. He rudely pushed the phone away and said, "I don't work for the store." I called the delivery service and they confirmed the pick up order and asked to speak to the delivery guy. He refused at first, but then took the phone and was told to pick up the box spring. He told his employer that he would not do it. He handed the phone back to me and hastily ran down the steps and out of the house. The delivery service rep told me she would escalate to a manager. He their haste to leave, the delivery guys left packing material littered on my bedroom floor. They also failed to leave the manual for the electronic base, which I had to find online. I called the delivery service back the next day and was told the issue had been escalated to a manager who would at some point call me back. After a week of not hearing anything, I called the store again and was told they would send an email to the delivery service. As I relayed the story, the person at the store said, "Yes, they are rude, but we keep them anyway." After a few days, the store called me back to inform me the delivery service did not respond to them so there was nothing they could do. The store refunded the fee I paid. I am still stuck with the box spring leaning against the wall in my bedroom. It's shows an obvious lack of concern for customer service for Regency Furniture to contract with a delivery service, and have no control or recourse to the service actually being provided. Adding to the issue, the rude delivery personnel appears to be a known but accepted issue. As we left the store on the day of the purchase, my wife and I discussed how we'd certainly go back for future furniture purchases. We now know that we will certainly NOT consider Regency Furniture for any future furniture purchases read more

Poor quality furniture! I had my 5,000 bedroom set 2 weeks before it started to peel and chip. The paint faded away, the foundation of the bed broke. I paid for the insurance which was just a scam because they don't cover structural damages. Every piece of furniture was a waste not one piece was worth the money. We purchased this sofa sectional in May of 2021 for $2300. Within the last few months, the sofa began to sag so I decided to open it up and see what the problem was. As you can see from the photos, the problem is that the frame is 99% plywood. The only reinforcing braces were stapled to the plywood on the beams that cracked. Notice how the break in the plywood is where the staples stopped on the hard wood stick. I would not even give this sofa a poor craftsmanship rating as craftsmanship implies a baseline degree of effort and competency that is clearly not evident here. Even the materials might have sufficed for the sofa to last a while longer if they were assembled with more care and proficiency. I attempted to refabricate the beams to save this overpriced turd but the frame was too badly warped; once the flimsy support beams broke, the springs pulled in on the rest of the frame and ripped some plywood from the egregious clusters of staples while others warped in the way that only cheap plywood can. I know what you're probably thinking: kids must have been jumping on the sofa? time to skip a few meals and stop stream binging? We have had an empty nest from any children for several years now and the sofa is more of a prop than it is a functional piece of furniture. Overall great selection! Rock greeted me at the door and asked what I was looking for and what would fit my budget. He immediately took me around to a few of the products off the top of his head and made some great and HONEST recommendations, which I really appreciated. Rock was able to get me set up with a couch that fit my needs, budget and short time frame request. I already went to the store and they said they cant fix it and i have to find someone else. I also think there policy should change or there delivery should be cheaper. I shouldn't have to pay 200$ for delivery to qualify for them to fix it for free. I have my own truck i can save the money. They should fix the couch for free considering the company that made the couch never zipped it before putting it together. I did nothing wrong. 10 day old couch and its broken. PLEASE do your homework,  guys!! Always pay attention to red flags and listen to your gut when you're buying stuff. We bought a lovely (Ashley Furniture) bar set from here for $1100.  The salespeople were awesome! But, they told us it would take 3 months to get our merchandise.....(we thought to ourselves,  do they have to make the furniture, by hand,  and ship it from another country? Guys, this wasn't a custom piece. It was Ashley for goodness sake. Even Big Lots, who also sells Ashley brands, probably would have gotten it to us faster.) And we had to pay a 'shipping' fee, even though we had to pick it up. But,  my hubby really loved the set,  so we went forward with it.  The set came in,  finally after 3 months,  and as promised.  We didn't perform an inspection when we picked it up, and neither did they. They told us if it was damaged when we got it home,  to call within 24 hours. (MISTAKE - never do this!! No matter how long it takes, make them inspect BEFORE you leave the facility.) Of course, when we get home and perform the inspection,  the bar is damaged.  Ugh! So we immediately called.... the Manager told us to bring the bar back in, they'd reorder and it would take us another 3 months!!! I told her we'd think about it. We lived almost an hour away. We were beyond frustrated. As we were considering our options, we did some research online and we found the SAME EXACT set on the actual Ashley Furniture site for $400 cheaper!!! We were beside ourselves. It was a huge markup compared to the actual Ashley store. To make an even longer story short, after some back and forth with the Managers they gave us a $200 refund.  We'll take it!! I'm not telling you not to buy from this store, because they do have some nice pieces.  But, ask questions about the brand, and if it's Ashley, get the item number and look it up online to see if you can get it cheaper.  Be an informed consumer.  You'll save yourselves some money!!  Also, if picking up, inspect your product before you leave. Pray you do not have issues with any of your furniture. They do not stand behind anything they sell. Couch we bought hasn't been right since they delivered, repair guy has been out 4 times. First call was in Nov 2023, repair guy finally put all new parts in the couch end of March 2024. Couch still isn't fixed and its actually worse. Called Regency HQ again and I got, "oh so sorry sucks to be you, we've tried everything, so call the extended warranty company. WHY? "Its been a year" because you jerks have taken 6 months to do anything. Even the employees at the store are on my side and can't believe they wont' make it right. The repair guy who has 30 years in the business said in order for the frame to be bent on one side, means it was dropped off a truck. That's how it got damaged. I have spend HOURS & HOURS on the phone in a calling circle from hell. NEVER WILL I BUY FROM ASHLEY OR REGENCY AGAIN NOT EVER. I plan to put negative reviews EVERYWHERE. They false advertise, price gouge, fraudulent and they have the worst customer service ever. Six months after I received my sofa and love seat I have a huge area on the headrest that they claim is consumer damage. They said it peeled. The last time I checked real leather doesn't peel. It did not peel it faded. How is this happening in between the cushions where no body parts touch it? Oh, and The recliner to match the set was ordered in May to arrive by June it's is now November and now they say December. Also, their manufacture Itiliausa claims real Italian leather and they do not stand by their product. I will be filing a lawsuit this Friday. They would get 0 stars if I could. I'm so disappointed. When I moved to Virginia 7 months ago, I went to Regency in Fredericksburg...reluctantly. The salesman and the manager said they would take good care of me b/c I had vowed never to buy from them again 10 years ago. They reassured me. The cushions went flat within 6 weeks, which they easily replaced. Just 3 months later and the cushions are flat again. I have been trying to get action/service since March 1, 2023 AGAIN. If this is not resolved then I won't ever buy from there again. The store was great, service sucked and the product didn't hold up. Before you purchase anything, I highly recommend asking if the item is in is in stock. I recently purchased two items. One item was in stock, and the other was not. I was told that both items had to be delievered together. Initially, I was told that it would take 4-5 months for the out of stock item to be delivered to the store. Having visited this location on and off during the construction of our home we found a variety of options that interested us. As the time approached to move in, we stopped in to purchase a king bed that to our surprise was no longer on the sales floor. We questioned the sales team about its availability, confirmed item was still selling but only draw back was a 3 month delivery. Thats insane, 3 months?? The sales associate was trying to get us to purchase but still no delivery guarantee. They would only be able to have more delivery information once we bought item because a store delivery was expected?? She kept going to the back office to speak with a "manager" or someone that never made an appearance. I told them before walking out if they found out they would get the bed call me because I'd buy it. Nobody ever called us so we thought the bed wasn't an option any more. About two weeks later, I was in the area and decided to stop by. I asked about the bed and come to find out they had 11 in stock. Wow! Thanks for the customer follow-up people. I didn't want to purchase from them but I wanted that particular bed so I bought it immediately. I paid for delivery, however realized they have very limited delivery times that were not accommodating to our schedules. I asked about options and the sales associate called some vendor who was willing to deliver but $30 more then the stores deliver fee. I decided to self pick up (that's a $20 fee in itself) and call it a day. Will we go back? Probably not! read more

With the J. F. account, we ordered a sectional couch over a month ago. We still have not received it & after speaking 3 times with Regency, they've not received it in their warehouse as well. Originally, the time to get the furniture to our house was 2-3 weeks. I guess the good thing is the date they'll receive it in their warehouse is now 9/8 & not 9/9. We moved from a 2 room apartment to a 5 bedroom home. The house has over 3,000 sq. Ft. At the rate Regency is getting just a couch to our new home, it'll take 2 years to fully furnish it. If I could give less than 0 I would. They took my money and that was all. We purchased furniture for our new house on May 21st. We purchased a new dining room table, couch, entertainment center and ottoman for roughly $4,400. We were given an initial delivery date of June 18-20. I called on June 20 as I hadn't heard anything from Regency and was informed that the new estimate was June 28-July 5. July 2 I called again and was informed the new estimated date was July 30 and that they would closely watch my account and notify me if anything changed, but that ultimately do to the couch being special order (reverse direction) that they had up to 12 weeks per the contract. July 27 I called and was informed that the furniture was on the truck being delivered to the warehouse and that someone would call on July 30 to schedule delivery. July 30 (today 10 weeks into contract), I talked to Samantha as I hadn't received a call to schedule delivery and she informed me that the couch didn't arrive in the shipment and the next shipment was due August 15th. I informed her that the next date was past 12 weeks in the contract to which she replied that they had an additional 2 weeks after the 12 and that it was in the contract. I told her that I read the contract and an additional 2 weeks was not in there. I re-read the contract after getting off the phone and there is no mention of an additional 2 weeks. Samantha told me that she would send this on to her Supervisor which I then asked to speak to. She replied that I had to be put on a "wait list" and that someone would call me back within 24-72 hrs. I informed her that I would call back tomorrow and the day after until I spoke to a manager. This company is horrible! The customer service is horrible! The only thing that I seem to have purchased from Regency Furniture is a massive headache. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! edit: Found the additional 2 weeks, right before the "You can't cancel" blurb. You're screwed, just stay away. edit: 8-1: Just talked to store management, trying to make it right. Will update as we go forward. edit: 8-6: Most of our furniture was delivered as promised, except the Delivery department never called to give the approx time of delivery. There was a knock on the door and HELLO, FURNITURE! edit: 9-5: After a few more updates that pushed out the delivery date for the remaining part of the couch, we finally got it today! Again, no contact from the Delivery Department until 10 mins prior to arrival. Luckily my wife was home to accept the furniture. We are currently at 15 weeks and 2 days. 3 Weeks past the 12 week guarantee and 9 days past the additional 2 weeks granted in the contract. So final thoughts. As the store manager contacted us (after reading this review, HOORAY YELP) and was able to get us what furniture they had, (which allowed us to stop using our patio furniture in the living room and a dog kennel from a kitchen table) and the fact that we love the furniture and the quality of it, I have upgraded the post to 2 stars. We did purchase warranties on everything so I guess we'll see how that goes, that will probably be the deciding factor on whether or not we purchase furniture from here again. Only time will tell. I was that very dissatisfied with the protection plan nowhere on the protection plan form does it say if it's expired after five years and it's beyond the five years you do not you lose your money. I just went into the store and he told me that after the five years you have 90 days to use it nowhere in this form that they gave me says that I am very upset that I'm losing mine hundred dollars I spent for this protection plan. I have bought furniture at Trivett's furniture and Ashley's furniture and it was after the five years and I went back and use my protection plan no problem no excuses I got my money no excuses from the store I get excuses when I went to Regency saying that oh well too so sad for you I would never buy any furniture at the store ever again. read more

We purchased one of Regency Furniture's "top of the line leather" furniture sets (couch, love seat, and recliner chair) in early 2016 (which they still carry by the way). Everything was fine for the first few months after which the "leather" piping on the recliner chair completely peeled apart. Regency replaced the chair just fine, but after we reported that the same thing was happening to the other two pieces, our warranty was somehow "expired" and they told us "sorry, there is nothing we can do" you have to contact the manufacture and see if they "might help". Our invoice indicates that we also purchased a "5 year warranty" which is actually not a warranty like any normal person would think, but rather a "protection plan". So if its a protection plan, why does my invoice indicate that I purchased a "warranty" instead of saying protection plan? When we purchased our furniture ($3k ON SALE) we were told by the saleswoman at the Fredericksburg, VA store that the "warranty" we purchased would extend the life of the manufacture's warranty for 5 years hence the "5 year warranty" on the invoice. THIS IS COMPLETELY FALSE!!! It doesn't extend the manufacture's warranty nor is it a extended warranty from Regency. It only covers "fabric" damage to the so called "leather" surface. Regency is now on the list of companies that we will NEVER do business with again. I wish we had gone to Powell's Furniture in Fredericksburg. At least the office manager at the Fredericksburg Regency said she would contact Regency's customer service folks in Maryland, but alas we were basically told to go pound sand and "there is nothing we can do for you, you have to contact the manufacture"!!! How does Regency's "top of the line leather" furniture start to peel so quickly? Not to mention, the METAL base of the recliner chair has two bars that hold the reclining mechanism together and have cracked with one METAL bar completely breaking. We can't even sit in the chair now. Not a big deal for Regency though, because they already got our $3K. How does a company not stand behind the "top of the line leather" products they sell? This furniture definitely does not seem like 'leather' at all, more like pleather. Please stay away from Regency Furniture and DO NOT PURCHASE their "warranty"!!! read more

Jennifer greeted us at the door with a friendly smile and took us right to what we were looking for. She did not hover nor was she the usual salesperson type you get at the furniture stores! She gave us time to discuss our options. I was really pleased with the service from her and the manager Danny. I bought my couch from this place spent $3,000 for late delivery they told me 6-12 weeks ended up taking 16 weeks before I got my couch I had to call them constantly never called me first to tell me where my couch was. 2 1/2 years later now I had bought the 5 year warranty protection plan that the sales guy said covers every thing you can think of spent extra $300 for the plan I'm having my first issue with the couch something has broken making one of the chairs slant. guess what's not covered under the warranty plan I bought of course frame damage wont send out some one to look at it or anything. We ordered a power sofa at the beginning of August 2018, we waited nine weeks with Regency customer service continually lying to us of when it would be in. When they finally delivered it, it wasn't power at all, they left us this sofa until ours would come in. Unfortunately I could not close the foot rest because I am disabled. We waited another eight weeks and called them, they said maybe end of December or January 2019. Needless to say, they are finally picking up the wrong sofa and refunding our money in full and we went elsewhere to purchase another sofa. Bad service, okay furniture.
