View driving to hotel. Nice farmland

We stated here last night while road tripping out with the family This hotel is actually called the Regency Inn but is listed as the ramada. The owners were very happy to have us and went out of their way to make sure that we had everything we needed. The rooms are very basic and clean. The air conditioning is ice cold once once you get it going. You don't see too many old classic roadside motels like this anymore, most are corporate chain hotels. That is one of the reasons I am writing a review. These owner operated hotels need support and people need to support small businesses in America. We paid 49 dollars for our family of 5 to stay and we felt very welcome and accomodated. We recommend this hotel and hope you find this review helpful

Behind the coffee is a large, high ceiling, sunny area with couches, cushy seats and breakfast tables and chairs. A hotel market is next to reception. Elevators are just past reception. This four story hotel has two elevators, several meeting rooms, an indoor pool, game room, gym and laundry room with one washer & dryer. Public restrooms are at the end of the hall to the left from reception, near the pool. Our king suite has lots of room with a sofa and coffee table at one end, bed at the other, TV on top of a dress in between. A desk is on the wall as you turn the corner from the entry. The entry houses a wet bar with small sink, fridge, microwave, coffee and ice. The fridge has a small freezer which we used for our cooler ice packs. We put cut vegetables (car snacks) on the top shelf and they froze!. Beware what you put near the freezer. There is a plug here for their coffee pot and my travel kettle. Large closet with iron & board and mirror doors. Vanity in-room has a fair amount of space for personal items. No hooks for toiletry bags, we hung them in the closet. A towel bar for hand towels and multi-use body lotion on wall near vanity. Bathroom has no fan. Very unfortunate. It looks to be pretty recently (past year or two) renovated with new tub surround and wall paper. Everything worked well. Took a minute for hot water to reach our room (end of hall, top floor) but there was plenty, good pressure, drained well. Toilet worked as expected. Everything was clean. Towels are super soft and absorbant. Multi-use shampoo and body wash in shower. Two hooks: one back of door, one between towel shelf and shower. Bed was comfortable with soft sheets, good weight duvet, lots of pillows of varying density. Bed side table lamps have one plug and one USB in the base. Heater/ac was quieter than many I've experienced and kept the room cool during our July visit. The only thing I miss is hooks by the door for hats and coats in-room Breakfast buffet was pretty standard: juice, eggs, sausage, potato, oatmeal, cold cereal, toaster items plus muffins, and the add-in items like brown sugar, cream cheese, hot sauce, etc. Small bottles of milk for your cereal are in a fridge. No yogurt or fresh fruit. Coffee service has regular, decaf, tea and cocoa with coffeemate creamer and a variety of sweeteners. No restaurants within walking distance but plenty within a ten minute drive. Good amount of parking around the building and a portico at entrance for inclement weather loading and unloading. Three luggage carts by the entrance. App. check-in and wifi keyless entry available at this location. Free wifi with membership (free). Staff were all lovely. Hotel is clean and in good condition. .

My room was not ready on time (though they did offer me a different room) 2. They were definitely having a digital key issue as well as a door issue. My digital Key NEVER showed up and the outside door keyed entrance sometimes took 10 tries to get in the door 3. There was a bit of a black "Industrial" film on the floor that was either left from a previous occupant or something I tracked in from the parking lot.

This was, without exaggeration, the most disgusting hotel room I have ever stepped foot in. It was…read moreso filthy that it honestly felt unfit even for an animal, let alone paying guests. The room had a hot tub that looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. Before even running the water, I wiped the bottom of it with a towel and the towel turned completely brown from the buildup of dirt and grime. That alone should tell you everything about the cleanliness standards here. It only got worse from there. There were pubic hairs sitting in the bottom of the trash can, clearly left from someone shaving, and the trash hadn't even been changed. The bed sheets had visible blood stains on them, which is beyond unacceptable for any hotel. The headboard was covered in greasy handprints, and the mirrors and dresser had dust and spider webs on them as if no one had cleaned the room in weeks. The bathtub/shower was so dirty that I genuinely felt like I needed shower shoes just to step inside it. After about an hour and a half of trying to convince ourselves we could deal with it, we realized the room was simply too unsanitary to stay in. When we went to the manager, she initially seemed understanding and said a refund would be fine. However, because the reservation was made through a third-party app, she said they would need to contact the hotel and she would approve it. We followed every step we were told to take, but we still have not received our refund. When we called back to check on it, the employee who answered was dismissive and told us there was nothing she could do and that we "should have looked at the room before buying it." That response was shocking. We were traveling from four hours away -- how exactly are guests supposed to physically inspect a room before booking a hotel in another city? We also paid at the front desk before entering the room, which is standard practice. Between the unbelievably filthy conditions and the completely unhelpful customer service, this was an awful experience from start to finish. I genuinely do not understand how this place is still operating or how the health department hasn't intervened. I strongly recommend that anyone considering staying here look elsewhere. No one should have to pay for a room in these conditions.

Anyway, I booked this hotel for a weekend of scrapbooking in the area at a local business. I made the mistake once before (and never again) of staying to far away and this place seemed to have it all. It wasn't bad by any stretch, but maybe could've been better. I booked a room with a patio since I like fresh air this time of year. I arrived and checked in with no problem, and my room was fabulous. It was clean, well stocked with towels, soaps, and everything worked. But, here's where they could've done better: **The shower and bathtub were very dated. Other Marriott's I've stayed at were more modern and up to date with their showers. Things like tile with glass and the ability to walk in and out without a tub. Felt extremely dated compared to the rest of the property. **no coffee provided in the lobby, and breakfast is an extra charge. When did this change/happen? I stayed at a Courtyard in Minneapolis last year at this time and they had a fabulous spread of food. Not here. At least put out some coffee! **While the property was in good shape, it was starting to look worn in a few spots. I normally don't pay that close attention or care that much because it's a hotel and not someone's home. I noticed peeling wallpaper in spots (in my room) and the sliding door to the patio area was stuck. I did check the 12 locks they had on it, and had to have someone from maintenance stop by when I was out to get it working, which they did. It was fixed when I got back, so high 5 to them. **small inconvenience but something that I noticed right away. Usually, there's a garbage can by the entrance of the hotel for stuff that maybe was in your car that you want to get rid of like cups, food wrappers, or whatnot while traveling. Not here! I saw a garbage can after I checked in off to the right on the way to the elevator. Would be nice if they had one out front off to the side of the entryway so you don't have to stink up the lobby or carry trash all that way. Like I said, small inconvenience, but worth it's weight in gold. Overall a decent experience and I would return in the future. In Toledo, I've noticed hotels fall into two categories. Either they're good but somewhat pricey (over a $100) or they're some place that you shouldn't be at and not worth the $65. This one was good for the area and the price, but I felt it was needing some work as a Marriott brand that could be better. Personally, I hold Marriott to a slightly higher standard than others and pay extra for the nice stays here. again, not bad just needs some attention.

We arrived late, around 11pm, and had no reservation however the hotel receptionist got us a room and extended us a late checkout. The rooms are dated however the facilities are well kept.
