The facility itself is fairly nice on the outside, but always appeared dirty on the inside and I never saw any cleaning going on the multiple times I've been here. This is not a place you'd want your loved one to go in my humble opinion. There's very little privacy to the rooms and facility just smells bad and appears unsanitary. I'd recommend looking elsewhere. It could potentially be a nice place if it was taken care of properly and the hired staff were nicer to the clients and appeared happy and to like their job vs looking like they hate being there. It's a very sad and discouraging place to have had to visit.

Employees were seen taking down call lights, being rude to residents, tying the string on call lights to make them harder to use, this was due to being annoyed by residents pulling them and forgetting. Memory care facility. The biggest issue is with the lack of diligent reporting on incidences. Falls, arguments, issues etc. Often were just swept under the rug. Residents are outnumbering the employees as well, so often times the activities or quality time is skimmed over. Residents often skip showers due to lack of time, the book for keeping track of showers for inspections easily padded. Employees in general lacked patience, often turning on the charm only when family or friends is visitng. The management was fully aware of issues and simply ignored them or pretended they did not exist. Do not recommend.

While he was at Hillside, the caring and skilled…read morestaff took care of all his needs, and also offered gracious emotional support to my mother and myself. I got to see the regular workings of this assisted care facility, and would not hesitate to recommend it to others. The cameraderie of the staff is evident, and I have never encountered a group of folks so compassionate and supportive. Each person seemed to be very passionate about their work. The entire facility looks to be newly renovated, and is quite clean and nicely decorated. If you are looking for an assisted care facility in this area, definitely check out Hillside House.
