The staff are friendly and timely. I've never had issues with them. I walk in crooked and Dr. Sheparo straightens me out. I've had deep lower lumbar issues since a trampoline accident when I was a kid. He is the only Dr. I've been to who gets it to realign in Corvallis/Albany. There's another good one in Eugene, Dr. Casey, so I'm glad I have Dr. Sheparo so I don't have to drive the hour to get quality treatment in my home town. The great part, for me anyways, is that they generally have same day appointments if I tweak my back and need same day care. I went to Heresco Chiropractic @ 2-3 years ago. I have no complaints with the care or professionals. They were very competent. I have a complaint about office protocols. On my first visit I filled out paperwork and was charged over $100 which insurance did not pay. Office staff told me it was a one time charge only and good for my lifetime. 8 months later I wished to return. This time the office gal said it would be another office charge because I had not attended in 8 months. We had a discussion. I will not go there again. I do not wish to be lied too. read more

I couldn't schedule an appointment! I tried to set something up online and never received a response. Then I tried to call to set up an appointment on three separate occasions. Two of those calls were answered and then immediately dropped. The last time I called I got a hold of someone and asked to set up a new patient appointment and they hung up on me. Upon calling back, I was put on hold for several minutes before they came back and asked me to wait on hold again. Normally I would assume these were simple mistakes and they dropped the call on accident. But THREE TIMES?! It feels like they simply don't want my business. Heresco might have excellent chiropractors, but I will never know as I can't get in the damn door to see one. read more

I had two massages with Heresco. One was a good massage but the practitioner had nationalistic music on (during a contentious time politically) which did not promote rest or relaxation for me. The other practitioner proselytized anti-vaccine, conspiracy theories, and maligning statements about her employer at me until I got to a point where I was so angry, I had to assert myself and shut it down. I thought, for sure, she'd realize how toxic a setting she was making, but she didn't. Intended to write her a letter to let her know how horrible the experience was, but I never sent it. I didn't complain to her employer because I didn't want her to get fired (it was the pandemic and she also talked about needing the job). I would handle it very differently in retrospect. I've worked with two chiropractors as well. Both harmful experiences. Neither of them helped me feel better. One made a comment about how nice my figure looked in a dress I wore. The other told me a story about someone in his family racist behavior, but thought it appropriate to use the "n" word. He was white. I tried several times because of positive reviews, but after working with 4 different people and leaving feeling harmed, I cannot recommend anyone, especially women, go to Heresco. read more

I started coming here almost 1 year ago. I am not a continuous client, I come in if issues arise and the staff is stellar at getting me an appt when I really need it. Highly recommend this chiropractic office. I've seen Dr. Shepro when I come in. He answers ALL my weird questions during the appt and prescribes exercises to go with treatments. I really appreciate this because it takes matters into my hands too. They offer a muscle stimulator therapy treatment which is very relaxing and only adds 10-15 to the appt, and they also offer massage, but I have not tried yet. During my last visits one of the staff members had their puppy dog in a little kangaroo pouch, and that added a lot of joy to my appt :) read more

Well sadly this place has gone down hill. And I can't recommend them. I tried to call and make appt for back that is starting to go out. Not even a same day appt. And I have always been able to get in and see my Doc. But today I was told that the doc doesn't have time for me to be squeezed in like I have for the last 4 years. And the office staff said that was the words of the Doc. I told them that's not true and the doc would never talk that way. It's really to bad that this place has fallen so far down. They were also able to even squeeze me in for a 30 minute massage to loosen up my neck and back. They can treat many different things which I think is important (vs. just a couple problems). I left them a message on their website in the evening and the next day I got a call from them to make an appointment. I was in desperate need to go to a chiropractor after an intense weekend out camping and they were able to get me in the day right after I called. I regularly see Dr. Imhof and she is awesome! The staff are super friendly, and your appointment begins promptly. I have never had to wait more than a couple of minutes in the waiting room before being seen. They take careful notes, and will often ask me about something I had forgotten that was mentioned during my last appointment. I often see Annette, one of the LMT's before getting adjusted by Dr. Oliver. This combined therapy has done wonders for me, and really increased my mind body connection. I have received chiropractic care in various places for about 20 years. And I have always sworn by it and massage instead of pain killers. I have been suffering from constant low back pain for about 6 months now. Yoga, massage, and my regular chiropractor were only offering minimal relief. I came in to see Dr. Shepro today and it the first time I have felt any relief in months. He got to the bottom of the problem which was weakness in my hips which I was suspecting but wasn't sure. I am so happy and excited for future improvements and to start strengthening therapy. I didn't think I was ever going to have relief which stinks because I am very active and it's been difficult to stay encouraged that I wouldn't have to just live with this. I really appreciate that they have more than just spinal manipulation available. He used some electro therapy (similar to tens) and icing and I will start working with a therapist there. The staff is awesome even though I showed up like a grumpy train wreck. I was smiling by the time I left.... And they have coffee and tea... That's always a bonus. :) read more

I moved here from Portland and had to leave a chiropractic office I loved with great docs, massage therapists and front office staff. I've gone for two appointments so far with Heresco and I won't be back. The initial visit was possibly 8 minutes and then ice. The second visit was less than 5 minutes and then ice. No chit chat, didn't really seem to care that my condition had gotten worse. I was double booked and they had to reschedule my appointment and then it seemed that I was to blame for their error. They seem so busy that they don't have time to talk to you or get you on the schedule. I felt like a number the first time, but gave it a second chance and there was no improvement. read more

I don't doubt that others have had a good experience there. My own treatment there on Dec. 10,2018 was underwhelming. The office staff there was sweet. My "assessment," however, was worthless. I spent close to 15 minutes filling out forms on health, etc., and that was about 5 minutes longer than the actual examination of my neck and back. I explained what I thought had caused the problems, but I received no feedback other than to do "adjustments." It paid $98 for a couple of adjustments and 12 minutes or so on a chair receiving a tens machine treatment and ice pack. I left with no insight into what I might do on my own, and really no insight into my problems, other than what i myself discussed. The one thing I learned for sure is that adjustments are probably not a good idea for someone with benign positional vertigo (which I mentioned on my health chart). I left the office dizzy and slightly nauseated, a condition which lasted for several hours after leaving. I'm not recommending NOT going to Heresco. I'm simply summarizing my own extremely disappointing and dissatisfied experience there. Michael C. read more

I agree with the last reviewer that the staff are super friendly. However, the chiropractors, specifically Dr. Lehman, Ort, and Oliver, have not been as good as the LMTs. Unfortunately, an adjustment is scheduled for 15 minutes which means that the doctors rush in and out. It's clear that they don't listen well to your needs, even though the chiropractor assistants take careful notes. It's also clear that if you want to talk about x-rays or orthotics, you need to request additional time at your next appointment for that or remind the doctors about wanting to talk about it. I've been going for a year and I'm thinking about switching chiropractor offices all together. read more
