I used to go to Pure Salon but found out that the two stylists that I like are now here! Andrea and Becky are the gals to go to when you need your hair done! First of all, the salon is beautiful! I personally love how private it feels too. There are multiple services offered and I hear that a massage therapist will be added to the list soon! Andrea styled my hair for my wedding and I couldn't have been happier, it was exactly as I wanted AND it stayed in place throughout the entire ceremony and even through the dancing. My sister-in-law also had her hair done by Andrea and loved the style and how well it stayed in place. Becky cuts my hair and has for a while now, I won't let anyone else come near it with scissors. She helped fix my hair after another high-end stylist completely botched it! She is patient and a perfectionist, which I so appreciate. Layers aren't always easy and my hair can be tricky :) The salon itself is located in the El Camino shopping center between CVS and Vons, nice convenient location with plenty of parking! read more

If you are a stylist who likes to listen to music while you work then don't rent a studio here. The walls are paper thin and you have to listen to your music at such a low volume in your studio that you might as well not listen to music at all. I told them that I didn't want to be next to an esthetician and refused to rent a studio that I could clearly see was next to an esthetician . So what did they do? You guessed it, they didn't disclose that my wall shared a wall with the most quite esthetician I've ever seen. She doesn't even play peaceful and relaxing music to set a relaxed mood or at least to cover for the background noise in a busy salon. Anytime my music gets to a level in which I can here the lyrics, she starts beating on my wall. The studio to my right is the single loudest studio in the place, but because she doesn't share a wall with the church mouse, she's allowed to talk louder than me and play her tv to a normal volume. This is why spa services and hair services should not be in one place. You kill one vibe to enhance another. It's incredible hard to stand all day and stay positive and creative as a stylist in an incredibly quite salon space and it's also hard to process a color for hours and hours when you couldn't possibly watch a movie with your client at a volume in which you can hear it. This has been such a waste of time and money and I'm back to square one. If you are as quite as a church mouse this is your place , but please don't try to talk to your client while blow drying because you will definitely violate their noise ordinance read more

Go see Ms. Sarah Haber at Regency Salon. She's there Thursdays through Saturdays. I am really finicky when it comes to stylists because short hair can get screwed up badly. Sarah is amazing. Iriam Vasquez has changed my life! My whole life I've had frizzy waves - not pretty curls - my hair is fro-like. When I used to blow out my hair it would take 45 minutes and it looked like Bon Jovi in the 80's. When blown out by a professional my hair is amazing, but I simply can not afford to have it done ($40-$45) once or twice a week. I looked into Keratin Complex and a friend referred me to Iriam. When I left Sogand at the hair salon today, I was walking on cloud nine! I had been going to the same stylist for about 10 years, I got so used to my hair looking nice, that I didn't think it could get any better. I was wrong. She updated my color and it is beautiful. Mayada is truly is as good as it gets. I've been going to Mayada for 10 years now and no one has ever given my hair the beautiful, natural platinum blond color that she has. I've moved twice during that time and had to go to other hairdressers on occasion (when I couldn't make it back to the valley for her to do it) and it's made me truly appreciate her skill and talent. No other hairdresser has been able to give my naturally brown hair, the platinum golden blond natural-looking, beautiful hue that Mayada manages without overwhelming orange brassyness. I regularly get compliments on the color and friends who know my natural color ask how I dye/bleach my hair to get it like this. Mayada has also made me dark chesnut brown and then back to blond about 3 months later all while protecting the health of my hair. I have fine hair too so it's a true miracle in itself that I'm able to color and bleach my hair regularly and still maintain healthy and long locks and that's entirely because I trust Mayada to take care of it. I love going to this salon! There are a ton of stylists here but they each have their own little space and section. You walk down the hall and one side are hairstylists and make up artists while on the other side are facialists and waxers. It's a one stop shop for beauty which is great if you have an event to go to, or just need a good network of people who specialize in that area. My hair stylist that I come to here is Amanda Lopez and she always does such an awesome job with my hair. I cut my loooooong hair short, and even though I was more excited than nervous, her positive character and outlook and skill put me at ease. I never walk out of this place not feeling fabulous.
