Sunday I Saw Heidi for the first time and I had the most incredible experience. My grays were out of control and she SAVED me. LOL guess which was the before... This was my first ever salon experience. For context: My best friend and I got into some hair dying after a few glasses of wine one night about 10 months ago and my hair accidentally turned ruby red. I let it be and it went through the entire spectrum of red until it got orange. I came to Lex for help. It was clearly over due for some TLC The experience was 10/10. A spa day with the hair makeover as a perk! The staff was so friendly! Not just to me but to all clients and as a team! I was there for a while (though time flew by) and I paid attention to interactions around me. The energy is perfect. The results immaculate! I KNOW I came in with quite the project and Lex, you killed it! I was looking for someone who would take care of my curls (especially after the hot mess I put it through lol) I found her! She literally took into account the shape of my curls and the way I wear my hair when deciding where to add what. (I was listening to her plan and I learned that day that there's a whole science behind hair dying lmao) 10/10 would come again for all of it: the talent, the latte, the blankets, the head massage...chefs kiss! Top notch customer service...I reached out to Salon Nuuvo via Yelp on a Monday...not expecting to hear back until at least Tuesday as the salon is closed on Mondays. Within minutes I received a reply advising that the concierge would call me first thing Tuesday when they open. Honestly- I was quite surprised to actually get that phone call the next morning!!! I made an appointment with Lucy after reading so many great reviews...and I wasn't disappointed! Many salons in LA can be intimidating and snobby....I kind of expected that...and was so happy to find that this salon is nothing like that. Lucy was so sweet... friendly and funny. I instantly felt at ease.... And after the shampoo experience I was 1000% relaxed! (It's so much more than a shampoo...you must experience it to understand!) I came in for a pretty major haircut...going from fairly long uneven hair to a short angled bob.... Lucy did an amazing job - I love my haircut...she's a pro at what she does! I've been going here for just over a year now, and I can't say enough good things about Lucy who works there. She's been keeping my hair looking fresh and amazing each time, as well as helping me manage my scalp each time. I swear, she has a gift for hair and I'd trust her with anyone else's. If you're on the fence or hesitant, definitely give it a shot, but don't be disappointed when you can't go elsewhere. The rest of the salon is comfortable and stylish. Worst salon ever!! They have the highest prices but yet mediocre service and products. They even serve you wine from a box and you're paying champagne prices. It's ridiculous. They have left product in the back of my head and can't wash me out properly in a bowl, that the owner has to sit on two pillows to fit in and she's 5 foot 2 well I am 5 foot 1 and I cannot argue with people who cannot think out of the box quick enough and actually gaslight you as you were the problem when they're literally leaving product in your hair and giving you a blowout to where you wake up the next morning, your hair is sticking together in the back, wasting your time and money. I've only been to the salon three times and the two times I've also had a ring around my head and a finger mark of dye on my forehead, and I have videos and photos . This salon has the worst service I have ever experienced and I have never even taken the time to write a review before but I never want anyone in my position with time restraints and trying to sacrifice their happiness for less traffic. It's not worth it and I would never refer anyone to this salon I actually dreaded going there, but was trying with my time constraint to find a salon closer to home & I ended up going back to WeHo to the best stylist on the planet & in Beverly Hills as my back up :) I will never compromise my happiness and just take the day off and don't worry about traffic in LA. I've been seeing the same stylist for more years than I'd like to admit, but, when salons were able to open again and Naimie's decided to renovate the salon and had nowhere for my stylist to actually do my hair, I turned to Salon Nuuvo and Raychel hooked me up! Not only does my hair look great, but Erin at the front desk was so communicative via email and Raychel really took the time to listen to me and my thoughts/concerns, and took so much time to make sure that my hair was on point! The salon also takes everyone's health seriously: pre-visit questionnaires, temperature checks, everyone is masked (and stylists wear shields), everything is disinfected, etc. You're in good hands on all fronts!
