I really enjoyed my experience here. This is not your fancy theater with all the bells and whistles. I was taken back to my childhood experience of the movie. The screen rooms are small. If you're looking to have a decent theater experience don't even bother coming to this one. Firstly this is not a call out to the theater staff at all they were polite, pleasant, and helpful. The issue are the people that come here and the actual screenings itself. I went to see Obsession last night and I had a terrible experience. The people that come to this theater have no theater etiquette at all, they come once the movie has already started talking loudly with their phone flashlights looking for their seats. They have no regard to the people trying to enjoy the movie, ghetto as hell. The screenings themselves are so dark you can barely see the movie, the sound quality is inconsistent sometimes blaring and sometimes you can't understand what is being said. Ohhhh...the neighborhood movie theatre.... Maybe it's lost a little luster, but we enjoy it still. We go to the movies to watch a movie - not eat unhealthy concessions, or drink LARGE sodas - just watch a movie. Usually, its for something we believe we would enjoy in large format vs. our small screen at home, and we can't always wait until it shows up on streaming services. So we enjoy Regency GH Tuesday discount: ALL SCREENINGS ALL DAY just $6.50! Sometimes we're the only 2 people in the "after dinner" showtimes, but more often than not, there are at least 3 other couples. A friend asked me if Regency has '...really comfy recliners.' No, but I'm fine with the overstuffed, cushy, "rockers" they do have. Only ONE TIME was the theatre NOT CLEAN prior to our movie. BUT, I have a feeling schedules were askew during the return to school week, as there were only 2 employees seen throughout the whole building, and they were RUN-NING! The next week, theaters clean, managers and staff all smiles and friendly greetings. The large ladies room upstairs has always been maintained and THAT alone gets an additional star! I also appreciate the "Throwback" screenings. Classics from each decade. MGM musicals on a large screen - YES PLEASE! We love going to this theatre. The seats aren't as "up-to-date" with reclining and all that, but the theatre is always our go-to for an afternoon matinee of first run features. I recommend buying your tickets and selecting your seats ahead of time. It saves the hassle of going inside to the snack bar to purchase tix. Beware, however, of the extremely loud previews. I'm not a fan of ultra-loud, multi-explosion, or "shoot-em-up" movies, but I guess others are. If you select your seat ahead of time, you can wait a few minutes before going in, and skip that. [Also, there's a See's Candy shop there a few doors down, and it's good to buy a few pieces to sneak into the movie. Better than stale, overpriced offerings at the snack bar.] read more

Prices to go watch movies here are really cheap. If I want a luxurious, boujee experience, I go to AMC instead. But for this theatre, it is great when I coordinate with college friends and we are all on a budget but still want to watch a movie together. I'd say you can definitely tell it's a cheaper experience because of the way the seats are. Not too big on cushioning and comfort, and there are so many rows tightly in a room. If you go on a premiere night or opening weekend, you will most likely need to crane your necks because the people's heads in front of you are in the way. A lot of people also come fairly late from my experience and walk in late, sometimes standing in front of your row and blocking the view, which can be annoying. I took my wife here to watch Sound of Freedom. I haven't been to this movie theater in a while and it might get demolished to make room for Home Depot soon. Finding parking was alright, the space is almost like compact parking and the lines isnt that visible. I got the tickets ahead of time so all we did was wait to order popcorn and icee. They keep the butter near the theater so you'll have to get your ticket scan first to get to the butter station. The theater is beat up and really outdated so don't expect the best seats or sound system. The theater we were in was small but the movie isn't that popular so it was fine. The bathroom is on the upper floor. They also charge for refill on the icee which is half the original price. read more

Regency... I neglected you, but at times you neglected yourself... Then again you were often packed... One of the biggest most spread out parking lots and solid guest service pre-2020 and hopefully again in the future. I enjoyed so many movies here over the years including the last Harry Potter films, Magic Mike, Guardians of the Galaxy and numerous others. The popcorn was pretty fun, the seats were descent though very dated much like the Laemmle which makes for good nostalgia. Considering how packed this place could get during a blockbuster season of movies I'm glad they did evolve a little with the times in some ways. Definitely still one of the best deals in town aside from monthly passes with Cinemark or AMC, but for a one time purchase showing, almost impossible to beat. So this theater isn't fancy. It's $5-7 less per ticket than the theaters with reclining seats. It also felt like an airline seat, with very little wiggle room in a packed showing. Nevertheless, there was nothing wrong with the movie's picture or sound quality. That's all I needed :) I appreciate that the snack bar employee offered the cardboard half boxes for popcorn sharing. She also mentioned the free refill on the large size. The snack bar was downstairs by the theater ticket purchasing area. When we asked where the butter and salt was, the employee said it was upstairs. And indeed it was. It was in an odd spot on the backside of this turnabout area encircling the theater rooms. I don't know how else to explain that. Anyhow, it was odd. As for our pretzel, it was a touch spongy, but we were famished so down the hatch it went! A couple of odd things about this spot - twice we saw people upheaved from the wrong seats. It's a weird thing when seats are preassigned. Also, upon leaving the theater, everyone left their trash! Omg it reminded me of the cheap theater in my small hometown with sticky floors and customers with no manners. For that alone I might have to pass on another Regency Theater experience. read more

My bestie wanted to go to the movies in the valley so we came here. Purchase the tickets online and was very easy to check in. We went into the theater, found our seats and waited for the show to start. The inside of the theater itself is small, it's standard seating so if you have someone taller than you, you can't see over them. Not sure why these are reserved seats, since I would like to move if someone's head is in my view. I had a bad experience at the movies today but it was saved by an employee. The Barbie movie was about 5 minutes in when a bright light hit my eyes. It wasn't an iPhone light, it was too bright. I looked back and one row behind me a woman had a flashlight and was rummaging around in her purse. The light was going in every direction. I said, put that light out now and she said f@$& you, so I went to the lobby to find an employee. Cory was that employee and he went with me to see her but she had put the light away by this time and so I got my money back and left. Why do people act like that in public? Not recommendable! We went to watch Moana 2. First of the movie theater smells like urine all the first floor. You smell it while getting your snacks. Quite sad actually. We were excited to watch the movie but the smell was just too much. Children shouldn't be put through that. We lasted about 30 mins. Also, the snack section is filthy. The workers touch money and the go and serve your popcorn with their bare hands. Overall 1/10. Whoever owns this branch needs to step it out. This is my first time in this theater. It's actually not that bad, we end up going before 4 so paid matinee prices, which were awesome. Bought large popcorn and drinks combo, totally enjoyed the movie and decided to come back again. Seats are not bad, compared to the ticket and popcorn prices, it was actually good. I can't complain and for sure I will be coming back for different movies, it's very close to where I live, so whenever I don't think I want to drive to fancy Americana this one will just do fine. Big parking lot in this shopping center. Restrooms are on the upper level. We went in March when this was still open. Prices were reasonable for a matinee, the popcorn and drink prices were decent, even though we just had lunch elsewhere. The theater was good sized, the chairs were comfortable, and there wasn't anyone else in the place but us. People started coming in as we were leaving the building. Overall, it was better than our usual theater..but, will they re-open when this pandemic is over? read more

Great theater! Been here a couple times, the theaters and bathrooms are super clean every time I've been. Not a lot of people go here as the showings I've gone to have been practically empty. REGENCY THEATERS is way nicer on the inside than the outside suggests. The parking lot in front of the theater appears to be always full but the parking lot behind the theaters is almost always empty. Just go aheard and drive directly to the back and park there. There is a walkway that connects the rear parking and the box office at the front. All the theaters inside that I've been to so far have assigned seats. I can't remember if all the seats recline, but the seats in at least one theater does. Some of the seats are even love seats! Great sound. Great picture quality. Starts on time. This theater isn't bad. I thought it was goin to be more dated than what it is. It has pleather seats. They don't recline but they do give a little. They are pretty comfy and aren't super stiff.
