I took my 78 year old mother on her "bucket list" vacation, she has always wanted to see Victoria!…read morehowever, with Alzheimer's starting to affect her ability to keep up, being driven about by Kevin in a Tesla was the most wonderful solution! We had a perfect day learning about the history of the island. Kevin is very attentive, and honestly I had a nice break from being the caregiver, as he was so gracious to help her in and out of the car at every stop! history buffs will love his tour, and we saw things I ended up ordering books about (local artist emily Carr, the First Nations art, the Queen's house, the oldest China Town in Canada) after the tour. It's such a fascinating, whimsical place! I recommend the Tesla tour 100% and will be back!

He picked us right outside our ship, took us to the Castle before anyone else was there, the Government House gardens & Christ Church Cathedral. Followed by a scenic drive to Butchart Gardens; where we spent the rest of the afternoon. He also arranged for the tea and lunch service at the gardens using his member discount. It was completely wonderful! The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. We did offer for him to have lunch with us but he insisted on waiting so we could have some time to ourselves. After tea, he walked around the gardens with us, happily taking pictures and giving us interesting info. At our request, he dropped us off at the Fairmont Empress around 4pm. We walked around a bit and then took a cute little water taxi back to the ship. I highly recommend this tour if you have 2-3 people and want to get a lot done in a short amount of time. Kevin is very friendly and knowledgeable. Oh and of course, the car is amazing! We'd love to tour with Kevin again in the future!

It was our first time traveling to Victoria B.C. and taking the ferry over. We booked through AAA…read morewhich I highly recommend. Booking directly on the Ferry's website was more expensive and the seats weren't great. It sits 2 - 4 - 4 - 2. We got the two-seater window seats. We stayed two nights in Victoria and before the trip I learned Clipper validates parking and the Bell Street Pier 69 Parking Garage. Only cost us $37 to park for 2 nights and 3 full days. We had carryon size luggage and the guy checking us in recommended we check our luggage due to space concerns. That was a mistake. When you check your luggage you place yourself in the 2nd (last) group to disembark because you have to wait for your luggage to be carried off by the crew. It's literally a big waste of time. Once onboard I noticed there was plenty of space in the cabin for us to store our carryon suitcases. I was a little annoyed but lesson learned. On the return, we didn't check our bags and was off the boat in a zip. The bathrooms are like the ones on airplanes. Small and yuck but there are plenty onboard. Food looked good but it was expensive. You can bring your own food, water, and coffee onboard. For an 8a departure that seems like a lot of work but you'll be glad you did once onboard.

On board food was also expensive and was packaged or microwaved. Staff was hit and miss; some cordial and some not. The ride was fun, but not worth the price IMHO. Victoria itself is quaint and scenic and the Gray Line Tour was nice and affordable $114 for two.
