Let's get the important stuff out of the way first: on time and at the precise location we agreed upon. As someone booking travel, you should start with that. You can take Keith at his word; he'll be there. But more than that, he's there as a welcoming spirit to the Victoria area. Was warm and engaging with stories of the area, places to visit, etc. The drive from the airport to the hotel (30 mins) flew by as he explained the things to do, the places to see; where to eat. He also announced that this was the end of his day and week as if any of us cared. He talked all about himself and his life. The new driver was quiet but did not seem to know much about his job and the original driver kept calling him. It was unnerving and stupid and I will never use this service againnnnnnnnnnn. How could he concentrate on driving all these people when he is talking and talking and talking and talking. Truly do you think this was professional at all? The driver from the Marriott on Saturday, May 2nd at 9:56 was police and professional but our original experience was so bad.

He picked us right outside our ship, took us to the Castle before anyone else was there, the Government House gardens & Christ Church Cathedral. Followed by a scenic drive to Butchart Gardens; where we spent the rest of the afternoon. He also arranged for the tea and lunch service at the gardens using his member discount. It was completely wonderful! The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. We did offer for him to have lunch with us but he insisted on waiting so we could have some time to ourselves. After tea, he walked around the gardens with us, happily taking pictures and giving us interesting info. At our request, he dropped us off at the Fairmont Empress around 4pm. We walked around a bit and then took a cute little water taxi back to the ship. I highly recommend this tour if you have 2-3 people and want to get a lot done in a short amount of time. Kevin is very friendly and knowledgeable. Oh and of course, the car is amazing! We'd love to tour with Kevin again in the future!

Much of their amazing staff has been let go with sailings cut due to the current political situation reducing ridership which is a shame. Also the terminal location in Victoria is quite confusing to be dropped off at as it is temporary and not well marked. Looking forward to riding the Clipper again.

The date of my trip was changed due to a miscommunication on behalf of the agent. The manager at the Seattle terminal did not offer any alternatives. There was no email or phone confirmation about the change and did not find out until I arrived at the terminal. I made the trip weeks later and had to change my departure return twice. The first agent did not tell me that the ferry left at an earlier time on Thursdays. I did not receive a confirmation email and the only reason I found out about the earlier time was that I went to check my seat selections. I called again and the first representative I spoke to, Dana, was incredibly rude on the phone. I requested to change my departure date and she replied, "Do you have a booking number or what? What do you want me to do with this?" I asked for a different agent and she said I could call again. I ended up speaking with Gail, who was rudcondescending and kept interrupting. I'm not sure if these agents are overworked or not getting paid enough but they need a refresher on their customer service skills. It's a shame because I used to recommend the Clipper and looked forward to these trips which I usually take 2-3 times a year. But this past experience has made me hesitant and might consider using an alternative route.
