This is my voting location. I have not attended an actual event here but! There is ample parking. It is an open floor plan. Good for events

We were promised access at 11 a.m. because they needed cleaners to come in the morning, but when we arrived, no one was answering the door, and the place was locked. Finally, an hour later, someone arrived to open the door. To make matters worse, my sister originally booked the basement (the lower level), but on the day of the baby shower, with no prior notice, they told us they were doing construction on the lower level and that we would have to use the upper level instead. This was very odd, but we decided to make the best of it. As we were setting up, we quickly realized the place wasn't getting warmer. We called the owner several times and went downstairs multiple times to check, but for the entire six-hour duration of the party, the temperature in the hall stayed below 53°F. On top of that, the place was filthy! The floors were in poor condition, with dangerous messes, and there were exposed wires everywhere. We even had to supply our own toilet paper and paper towels! There was no hot water in the bathroom, either. We tried to make the best of it, but it was freezing, which was uncomfortable for all the guests--and especially for my pregnant sister! Now, they're not responding to any of our calls. Attached are just a few photos showing the issues with the place, including the construction in the area we were promised.

They did a bait and switch on us on the day of our event. We rented the downstairs venue and on the day of the event they told us we have to use the upstairs venue because there are renovating. Upstairs venue had no heat. The floors were coming off exposed wires, the hot water in the bathroom. The temperature never went above 52. Avoid this venue at all cost. They don't care once they have their money and won't even pick up the phone when you are calling them to ask them how to turn on the lights to the place.

There was a sign that it's $10 for non members to enter. I was told this isn't heavily enforced. Membership is only $25 per house hold. Food portions were generous and priced less than what I expected. We did not order food but these are food photos of items ordered by some of our friends at other tables. Another friend ordered the spinach dip and pita and that looked amazing! People said they really enjoyed the food they ordered. I wasn't thrilled with the service. The Waitress didn't want to separate checks which was weird because we're seated with strangers. Eventually they came up with a way to accommodate separate checks using numbered signs when they realized people weren't ordering. I don't know if she was new and didn't know this was an option but her communication style was not great and I know some people did not order because of it. Several of us opted to get our own drinks at the bar and eat elsewhere after the event because of the service. Also wanted to mention that half of the stalls in the women's bathroom had broken locks. I hope someone addresses that because no one wants a visitor when using a public restroom. This really is a beautiful venue with other spaces available for parties. I hope to have a better experience next time I'm there.

The mansion is pure magic. Even if all you did was exchange vows beside a potted plant by the river, with this historic estate as your backdrop, it would still feel like a dream come true. But Glen Foerd offers so much more than a picturesque setting--it delivers a full-scale event that's flawlessly orchestrated. With Jamie Hollander overseeing planning, catering, and coordination, every detail of the day was handled with precision and care. You're not just booking a venue--you're placing your trust in seasoned professionals who treat your celebration like their own. We were fortunate to work with Kelly Mahoney as our Event Planner and Niyah (whose last name I regret not knowing) as our Day-of Coordinator. Their expertise, warmth, and dedication were unmatched. As someone who's worked in the hospitality industry for years, I can confidently say I've never had a more positive experience. If you're reading this, take my advice: visit Glen Foerd. Step inside its breathtaking walls and you'll be transported to another era--one where elegance reigns and every moment feels timeless. You'll fall in love with the place, and you absolutely won't regret it.
