This is a small family run office. I have come here for over 15 yrs. I come when I want to see a doctor but can't get in to see my primary. I get my tb tests here also. It's my alternative to urgent care. My dad loves the shots they have when he is having breathing issues. My mom had a scary cut on her leg that he took care of. I came in today as a new patient and can say I left this place feeling awkward, sad? and empty. The staff nurse are extremely friendly and Dr. Yeske works really efficiently and can finish your diagnosis within minutes; but when it came to having a confidential medical conversation, it converted to Dr. Yeske sharing his "life" advice which destroyed my feelings. Dr. Yeske is the only reason I will go to a Dr. I had lost faith in the medical profession as it seems all they want to do is pump you with meds. He is the exact opposite. So far I've just started going to this physician, and although the man himself is very thorough and really tries to figure out the core of your problems, the receptionists are rude. The guy is friendly however every friend or mine who saw him were told they had the same virus. "Epstein baar" is his excuse for why you feel anything ! Though it may be true, I did not see any willingness to look outside of his go to diagnosis and try to find the true issue to why I was feeling. I broke down and paid Dr. Yeske a visit when I couldn't stop getting sick. Life without health insurance sucks so it has to be pretty serious for me to see a professional. I was able to get a last minute appointment which was convenient. The visit was $65 and my vitamin B12 and magnesium shot cost $20. I really like Dr. Yeske because he takes the time to sit down and talk with you. And he actually listens to what you have to say. Long overdue review. I came here 3 years ago after going to the ER and 4 different doctors. I was being prescribed with a bunch of antibiotics, steroids, cough syrup, high dosage of tylenol, and a bunch more. Not only was I taking a bunch of meds but I was also paying a bunch for meds and office visits before I came here. He took the time to hear me out with all my symptoms, medications, and emotional concerns. I was so angry with the whole medical system because I wasnt feeling better. After I saw him, i have never felt better. We found a virus in my blood that caused me to feel fatigue very very often and flares up more when stressed. Ive taken so many blood tests before and not one doctor or ER could figure out what was wrong with me. Also he found out im allergic to gluten and many other foods. I was in so much pain before. He basically saved my life. Why I felt the need to write this review is because I moved to norcal and I'm having the same issues with this virus again and not all doctors understand or go out of their way to understand. Dr Yeske is very wise, knowledgable, and is an experienced doctor. Dr. Reg was really nice and attentive. I am a total baby when it comes to visiting the doctor and he made me feel very comfortable. The nurse and receptionist were also very kind. I was able to make an appointment on the same day, so if you need help asap, call them. I have gone to Kaiser before, and yeah, they have alot of cool new medical instruments and flat screen TVs, but there is something about getting on one of those old scales where you have to move the weights. My family saw Dr. Yeske for many years (about 10 I think) when we lived full-time in CA. Since we still have a business in Long Beach and are there from time-to-time and occasionally need a doctor while there, we still see Dr. Yeske for those needs. I would say - hands down - that he is one of the best I have ever seen when it comes to shooting straight with his patients. He has helped us in so many ways over the years. I appreciate the caring accommodation we have always received from Dr. Yeske and would feel completely secure and comfortable in recommending anyone to him - in fact, we have recommended many people to him over the years. Drs. are people, capable (and fully justified) of being imperfect. I personally find Yelp an inappropriate forum for comments on healthcare professionals (good or bad) because most are being written by - AT BEST - laypeople who really don't have the education, expertise, or right (frankly) to be making such an assessment of a doctor. At worst, it's generally complainers who don't want to pay their bill, a disgruntled employee who really isn't a past patient at all, or a competitor who, cowardly, uses a fake profile to damage another's business in favor of his own. But since Yelp seemingly can't be stopped from publishing clearly defamatory comments about businesspeople by allowing ignorant novices who have an incomplete understanding of that about which they are commenting, I am at least going to defend good professionals like Dr. Yeske who could and should sue people for saying he "violates HIPAA" and infers he is not a "good" doctor - inflammatory, baseless comments by someone who is likely not a HIPAA expert and certainly not a certified evaluator of healthcare professionals. WOMEN BEWARE!! It was my first time seeing this Dr. for a check up and for the first time in my life I left the office in UNCONTROLLABLE TEARS. I have had back pain for a while since I was 21 and all of a sudden he had me hop on the table and chat. I didn't even have a medical gown on but I had a short dress and without warning he slid his hand under my Mini dress and started touching my lower back and upper butt. Where is the MEDICAL GOWN?? WHERE IS THE WARNING?? I was shocked and frozen. Also, I had gained weight after Covid and he commented on my weight saying I should be around 119 , and he could tell I was about 10 lbs overweight. I never even asked for this!!!!! Then we get to my age. I'm 35 and he questioned " why aren't you having children now" What if I don't want kids or CANT have them! Finally at the end, he mentioned I had a big white mole in between my eyes and that's ALL he can look at when he sees me:( What the heck ... he then says I can come back and he can shave it right off. I'm sure he was trying to sell his services. I've been to hundreds of doctors in my life and this is the first one I will be reporting. He needs to learn how to speak to his patients with empathy especially women and at least ask when he sticks his hands all over us. Dr. Yeske has been my family doctor for years. I always knew he was a great doctor. I had a work related incident in January and Dr. Yeske really helped me out. The doctor's staff knew I needed help the morning I called in and they were able to get me in to see the doctor within one hour or so of me needing an appointment. Dr. Yeske sat and listened to my every word and I feel that he really cares about his patients. Dr. Yeske has a very busy office and I was blown away that he sat there and took in all that I had to say. He never rushes you in and out and takes the time to really listen to you. The wait is never long and his staff really works with you to get you in asap. My first contact with Dr. Yeske was a few years ago when my father was dying and Dr. Y was the physician on call. My father had had one of those medical club memberships (but that doctor (ascudo) who had been paid in advance did nothing to care for my father, didn't even come to the hospital) and Dr. Yeske gave him really great care. He was very attentive and gave my dad a lot of personal attention. He answered all our questions in detail and never seemed to mind how many questions we asked. Since then my husband and I both have started using Dr. Y as our primary care physican. As before, he is very attentive, he actually knows us - instead of seeing a different doctor or talking to the same doctor who doesn't seem to know your case, your name or your face he knows us and follows up on what we had talked about last time we had been in to see him etc. He is like a doctor who cares. The best doctor in California! I have been to loads of Doctors because of a health issue (that none, but Dr Yeske) could figure out! He uses old world knowledge along with modern medicine. This is an approach that 99% of the doctors don't do! A majority of doctors need to use either operate or drugs to fix any health issue, instead of finding out the root cause of a health issue and either fixing it or managing it. He is patient, kind, methodical and spends time with you on every visit to get to know you and your specific situation. He doesn't overbook, make you wait in the waiting room for hours, then shuttle you out as fast as you entered to get to the next patient. Sure his office isn't the most modern, with a brand new hospital look but that is why he isn't overbooking to rake in the money. My family have been going to Dr Yeske for my entire life. I remember leaving school mid day at St Josephs in the late 80's and my Dad taking me to Dr Yeske. My kids now go to Dr Yeske. Generally I would never "review" a medical professional as I feel I am no where near qualified to make such a statement like the gentlemen from Texas said. After reading the reviews though I had to tell you how great Dr Yeske is. I have never once had him agree with what I read on google; he was always right. I have also never had him agree with some random thing my buddy said; he was always right. He will sit and talk with you even about random sporting events or current events because he knows once put on the spot you might not remember all those important questions you had. We went to this clinic as it was referred by our close family friend. We didnt set an appointment as we were informed that they accept walk-ins. By the moment we reached the front desk, the two asian ladies seems to be uncertain if they will accommodate us or not. They were not friendly at all. They were like pinpointing each other if my son can be accommodated. They did accepted our request as walk-in patient and had presented our insurance. What we only need is my son's blood pressure and pulse rate result. After the nurse (which doesnt look like one) had taken my son's pulse rate and bp, we were referred to the Dr. Yeske. After the doctor had taken my son's bp, he approached me and told me he cannot help my son with what he need. Words of discouragement came out from this doctor which intimidated my son atrociously. All we need from him is just a written note that his bp and pulse rate results were normal which they were. He doesnt want do the the interval of 15 minutes per test, for 2 consecutive days. Waste of time! I was even thinking of bringing my whole family and clan to this doctor but had changed my mind. read more

I saw Dr. yeske for about a year after leaving Kaiser, and I am now moving on to another Primary Care Physician. Dr. Yeske failed ro refer me for a an abnormal pap smear, and I didn't understand the seriousness of this oversight until it was pointed out to me by a gynecologist months later. I saw her because of abnormal postmenopausal bleeding and cramping, on my own. In general, I feel Dr. Yeske fails to refer patients when indicated. He told me he thinks family physicians are able to handle many situations without referring to specialists, and Medicare likes him for this. However, this has been a dangerous attitude for my health. The uterine biopsy is next week and I hope not too late. Regardless, two gynecologists have told me that not referring a patient to a gynecologist after an abnormal pap smear is a serious problem. In addition, I had to ask Dr. Yeske for a referral to a hematologist last summer on the advice of a physician friend. Dr. Yeske had been dealing with his own theories about some abnormal blood teats for several months with no results. The hematologist ordered the test to diagnose my leukemia and treated it. At the time I thought "any physician can miss a diagnosis" but now I see this as part of a pattern of not referring patients so he can do it all himself. Currently, my back is hurting and the xray shows problems. It feels like it's gettig worse. Dr. Yeske,s advice, when antiinflammatories did not solve the problem in one month was to take them for another month, even though I asked a referral to a specialist. I will be asking my new doctor for that referral when I first see him, this coming week. read more

I found Dr. Yeske (or should I say he found me) when I was in the emergency room at Community Hospital with a badly broken ankle. He consulted with the ER doctor, followed through after my surgery and saw me every day I was in the hospital sometimes more than once. When it came time to be discharged the hospital wanted to send me to a nursing home because I'm single, live upstairs and don't have anyone living with me. Dr. Yeske listened to me and plead my case allowing me to go home and be taken care of by my father. Without Dr. Yeske I would have been in a for profit nursing home for at least six weeks receiving about the same level of care I received in my own home. During the six weeks I was home I continued to get follow up calls from Dr. Yeske just checking in on me. I can honestly say that's the first time a doctor has called me at home to check on me in my life. He's now my GP and I am really pleased with my decision. He is a great listener and has been spot on with my diagnosis. I never wait in his waiting room and rarely wait more than 5 minutes in the exam room. My only regret is I didn't find him sooner. read more
