I almost cried when I came back home after my haircut because Gayle only spent 15 mins chopping my beautiful long layers off with just a few snips of her scissors. There was no texturizing, no blending, just straight cuts so my hair looked like curtains. I had been growing my hair out for months, and all that disappeared with on haircut. I had to go back to get it fixed by Raquel, who fixed it as much as she could and I had to cut my hair down shorter for it to look decent. Heidi at the Regis salon in Woodinville is absolutely fabulous! She was accommodating and made space for me in her schedule. The coffee provided is a nice touch. I appreciated how she was up front about costs and she explained everything that she did in detail which relieved my anxiety I usually have at hair salons! I got a perm and cut. I have very sensitive skin so Heidi made sure to avoid chemical to skin exposure and rinsed it out very thoroughly. My skin feels great and the smell isn't too intense either! My curls are gorgeous and I appreciated the tip on sodium hydroxide being the culprit for straightening my hair and how it can make a perm go flat! I have had many stylists mess up my hair, and I have had many bad experiences (including with gene Juarez who I ended up canceling with and making an appointment here instead) but this salon has never done me wrong. My stylist is amazing, she listens to me and the quality is amazing. My hair looks exactly how I pictured it and I'm beyond happy. This place is definitely 10/10 and I would recommend. Terrible experience. The first stylist did not seem to know what she was doing and after giving her the benefit of the doubt for the 30 minutes, I had to stop her and let her know that I was scared about how the cut was turning out. She was also cutting my hair while dry and letting the clippings fall over my face and into my eyes. It was extremely uncomfortable and I had to ask for a towel to wipe my face off. Another older stylist took over and she seemed in a rush to get me out the door. When she saw the look on my face as she was trying to clean up the cut, she apologized and told me she wouldn't charge me. I got up and left in tears. I don't know how this place even exists. It's outdated and the stylists need retraining. I had to pay another salon to fix what they did to my hair, but some of it is too short and I have to wait for it to grow out to correct. read more

I've been going to see Heidi at this salon for the past year and a half. I must say, for a girl who grew up with hair down to her butt and usually saw someone with a scissors (not necessarily professional) maybe twice a year, this is saying something. Sticking with what I know, the last time I saw Heidi was about nine months ago...Yeah, I know, I really needed this appointment. When I walked in the door she recognized me immediately and walked me over to her chair. She asked me what I was looking for, listened, offered up some professional advice and got to work. She's good at making conversation and making me feel at ease, but what I love most about her is that she just seems to understand what would work best and I can just sit there and not worry about what she's doing. Every time I leave, I'm thrilled with the results. Obviously Regis is paying them hourly. 3 people were in view and all seemed to be just watching the clock waiting to get out on time at 6pm. I couldn't believe it. I'm a paying customer and I tip well. You'd think they would just close up shop and leave if they can't take any more clients right?!? Like I said, paid hourly and watching the clock. You can't close early because you'd miss out on that extra 30 minutes on your paycheck. Can't take a client because you'd have to stay past your shift. The dreaded catch 22. First time visit:: got an appointment at the very last second with no trouble at all. The goal was to 'fix' what the last two cheap haircuts had done to me. Heather saw exactly what was wrong, and cut my hair -exactly- the way i told her I wanted it. It was such a relief to know that she saw what was wrong with my hair, and knew how to fix it. Heather didn't just attack my hair with a pair of thinning shears and a ton of product, she cut it with REAL scissors, with grace and style, and the ease of artistry and practice. Work is mediocre. I went in for a haircut, the cut was OK, the blowout was below par. ****One thing to note, definitely check your bill for extra services added before you walk out. The so-called manager added $45 extra to my bill for a blowout that should've been included as part of my cut. Her explanation was "your hair is long". To sum is up in one word... I asked them to make it more layers, pass shoulder and straignt . I was given a dramatically symmetrical head, left vs right, and all the back hairs are all about the same long, same thickness. I gave up and will switch to any salon to get it fixxed. The most urgly thing is, after she was done and took away my cover, i found the hairs were all over my sweater. she said it was due to my sweater, it "sucks" the hairs in. What an excuse! I went in to get an all over color and the lady that was doing my hair insisted I put highlights in as well as the full color...well needless to say she didn't know what she was doing. While drying my hair I noticed a spot about the size of a nickel the was uncolored. I asked her why and she argued back that it was my hair line. Umm... no I did not come into the salon with a hair line looking like that. She just didn't color my hair all the way to the roots. After getting out of her chair I realized it was more the one spot uncolored! Her lack of knowledge of what she was doing cost me $250 to get a color correction in a better salon. Wow....decided to try out a new place. Just went in for a trim/all over color and the woman helping me had no idea what she was doing. She called her manager over to consult me and the manager kept telling me to do a foil and it wasn't possible to get an even all over color (which I've been getting done for the past 20 years at various locations). I thanked her for her time but said I decided to go to another location that could give me an all over color. She then ripped the apron off of me and was super rude, and started complaining about me to my coworkers after pointing me to the door. I will never go back to Regis again. I was in dier need of a hair cut. My hair is always long but damaged so i went shorter and wanted a lot of layers. The person that cut my hair was very nice and we made small talk, but when i got home and dried my hair i saw that there were no layers in the front. I had to go to a different salon and get it fixed. Tip: they have a table with discounted hair products at all times, it's a great way to get better shampoo/conditioner at a lower price. Go see Tatiana! She's been my stylist for the last few years since I've been in Washington. I've followed her from the Lynnwood location to this one even if it's out of the way for me because she really knows what she's doing, always knows how to give me exactly what I want, and she's overall a great person. We always have a great time talking throughout my sessions which is awesome because I hate spending hours in a salon and not really having a stylist who is easy to talk to. The management and staff gossips about the customers as soon as they leave. I have witnessed it numerous times and It is very unsettling. I was a fairly regular customer and one visit I used a Deal (Groupon or Living Social, I can't remember which) and was treated horribly for it. I was basically told that the type of person that uses those types of deals is not the type of customer they want. The quality of cuts & colors is average. The pricing is just OK as well. The salon itself feels kind of messy and cluttered, definitely nothing luxurious or cozy feeling about it. There are some other salons in town that are similar in price or just a little bit more that offer a much more inviting and comfortable environment. read more

Erin cut and colored my 17 year old daughter's hair today. Sadly, both services were unacceptable. The first 'red flag' was that Erin cut my daughter's very long, thick hair dry, prior to the color, rather than after the color and wet which seemed a little unusual. She just blunt cut it across the bottom. When my daughter has had good cuts in the past, the other stylists would section off thick hair or at least have her stand up so they can make sure to get an even cut - I now see why they do this. Erin did not do any of this, nor did she not stop periodically to check the length on the left vs. right side so my daughter is now left with very uneven hair. One side is about 1-2 inches shorter than the other. My daughter had requested just a "dusting" or "trim", she did not want to lose much length. However, Erin cut off at least four inches. As for the color, the dye did not make it down to the root so the quarter inch or so of hair that is closest to her scalp is a different color than the rest of her hair. Erin styled my daughter's hair with a curling iron which left her hair feeling very dry and damaged. My daughter's hair hadn't been dyed in over a year prior to today, it's hard to understand why a simple all over color (slightly darker than her natural color) would leave her hair feeling so damaged. The worst part is that when I spoke with Erin regarding our disatisfaction with the services she was unapologetic and uncaring. She clearly did not care that she had not satisfied her customer and handled our complaint with indifference. She just rattled off the customer service phone number as if she were on auto pilot and said she wasn't allowed to give a refund. There was absolutley no hint of sympathy, or even empathy, for my daughter's feelings. We all know hair grows back, and this isn't the end of the world, but my daughter has senior pictures next week and wanted to look her best. This certainly was not what she had in mind. read more

I felt compelled to write a review after my experience today. A full foil and a cut took an eye-watering 3.5 hours! My stylist, Brianna, had been double-booked by the salon and had to juggle me and another client. She was perfectly professional and handled the situation as best as she could, but it was definitely unfair to everyone involved (including her) that she had to do so. My hair looks fine, but I didn't have time for her to style it after the cut because I wasn't expecting my appointment to take half a workday. If management wants to keep clients, they should do a better job of taking care of their employees. Stretching them too thin helps no one. Thanks to Brianna for her work today! read more

We were walk in clients on a Sunday afternoon and found everyone to be super friendly. They fit us in for eyebrow waxes and then I decided to get a quick ladies cut. No problem at all! I've had my hair colored 3x and cut several times at this location. It's close to my house which is great, unfortunately my experiences haven't been great. Most of the time the staff were nice but: Each time I had my hair colored here was an issue - and each time was a diff stylist. 1. The stylist got dye on the collar of my sweater, I had on a smock and towel too (they said they'd been working there 8 yrs!) 2. The stylist did ok but apparently didn't leave any notes on the color, etc.....makes getting a touch up a bit more difficult...thanks 3. The stylist left dye in my hair....how they didn't realize this is beyond me....it was in the front! I mentioned that it felt off and they said it was the oil they had just applied (which I wouldnt have wanted on my hair anyway). I left with greasy feeling hair, yuck! I only realized dye was in my hair when I washed it the next day. Hair cuts here have been okay but a few times I ended up with a wet back after they washed my hair....I've only ever had this issue here. Not a huge deal but it's a bit annoying. I've given them several chances over a few years but I don't think I'll be back. There are many salons in the area that charge about the same, wish I didn't need to find another place but at this point I don't think I have a choice. read more

I called and made an appointment a few days before hand, the day of my appointment comes and I found out that receptionist scheduled me with the wrong person who could not do the relaxer that I wanted. I travel extensively around the country and often internationally and have had my hair done in numerous states and many differences countries. Generally I do not like Regis as a hair salon chain. But Raquel at the Woodinville location is a world class color specialist and stylist and would make any salon a five star location. Can't say enough about her level of expertise. I am looking for a great salon to take my son (age 7). I have tried Regis a few times. Scheduling is not easy. I do like to go as a walk in and not schedule ahead of time due to having a busy schedule. My son will suddenly request a haircut and want shorter hair so I have to also be flexible and go with that when he is ready. This salon does not easily accommodate walk-in clients. We have been turned away more than once at this salon due to lack of stylists...and they are already booked so they cannot take walk-ins. I won't bother to go again. I either have to wait a long time with my son, we get turned away completely or reschedule for a later day/time. If a salon states that walk-in clients are welcome they should accommodate them. read more

Erin is the best! She is so knowledgeable on every aspect of hair. Her color work is top notch and I've never had a better cut. My hair is difficult and she cuts it in a special way so it comes out perfectly layered every time. She is the best colorist I've ever gone too, as well. I know blonde is hard, you would never know that because Erin is an expert. I really enjoy my appointments, she's so personable, fun and nice. The facility is always clean and in perfect condition. Pretty disappointed in this salon. I have been to many Regis salons in about four different states and this one always seems to disappoints! About a month ago, I went to get my hair cutt and style and the lady whom I had an appointment with was about 25 minutes late. Decided to give this location another chance because it is so convenient to where I live. I went in yesterday after lunch to get my eye brows waxed. The receptionist then said "sorry, we are booked for the day, can you come back tomorrow morning?" As I look around and noticed there were no customers or any stylists, confused at her reason...I said, "sure, fine..I can come back tomorrow" I chose 9 AM slot. I had my husband drop me off about 5 minutes until 9 the next day and the male receptionist who had no personality said "she will be right with you." After 10 minutes of waiting, the lady whom I assume was supposed to do my brows walked in and then looked at the appointment book and tells me "we don't do brows at 9." She asked me to reschedule and I said "No, I am done with this place." I have never met such an unorganized business. From the start it has been such a mess..the whole place is a mess.
