Rego Center is a shopping complex, but not a full scale mall. There is an outdoor open public space that contains benches, tables and trees. This open public space open daily from 6:00 am to 3:00 am (next day) and privately owned and maintained. It has a modern appeal with escalators. Tenants are traditional brick and mortar retail shops: Gong Cha, Aldi, Burlington, Costco, DSW, Best Buy, Five Below, Petco, T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, Dallas BBQ, Chipotle, Panera, Iron Age Korean Steakhouse, Champion Pizza, and Teriyaki One. Majority of these businesses are chain. I came here specifically for bubble tea at Gong Cha which is a small indoor kiosk. This site was the former department store Alexander's. With my family, I had previously shopped at Alexander's back in the day. Ah, nostalgia brew. There is a free parking lot and a two (2) hour metered parking lot available. It is very accessible via MTA NYC Transit buses: Q38, Q59, Q88, Q60, Q72. This is my favorite mall! I love the outdoor format - it's like a multilevel shopping plaza. My favorite shops are all in one place: Costco, Daiso, Marshall's, TJMaxx, Five Below, Gong Cha, Aldi, and more ! There are quite a few empty spaces here though, so I hope more shops will lease the spaces and fill up this mall. I noticed that At Home is closing down soon here. :( read more

Obviously smaller than Queens Center Mall itself but a very decent-sized mall in the Queens area. Has most of these retailers that I like shopping in like Marshalls, Burlington, Costco, Lotless, Aldi, and Five Below are grouped together in one place. You can easily get there by taking the R train. Almost every store has either reasonably priced or discounted items which is definitely within my budget. Selection wise has an entire variety to choose from. The shopping center has three levels for customers to shop at. Level 3: Century 21, T.J. Maxx, Old Navy, Burlington Level 2: Marshalls, Toy City Street Level: Dallas BBQ, Sprint, Mandee, The Vitamin Shoppe, Aldi, Subway, Panera Bread, Marshalls Lower Level: Costco There's a food court ranging from different snacks and quick bites you can get like Auntie Annie's Pretzels, Champion Pizza, Chipotle, Dallas BBQ, Red Mango, Panera Bread, Teriyaki One, and Subway. read more

This outdoor shopping center is located not too far from the subway station and also has a paid parking lot. We came by subway so I have no idea about the issues with parking. There are three levels with elevators and stairs plus skybridges to connect the two sides. In inclement weather, this has got to be an interesting experience. Designed with a large breezeway down the center where there are some food vendors and steel tables, this is nice spot to sit while you wait for the rest of your party to do their shopping. On the ground level, Aldi, Petco, Mandee, Daiso, Panera and a barbecue restaurant. The second floor is the "at home" home décor store. Third floor has Burlington Coat Factory, Old Navy, Bed Bath & Beyond and TJ Maxx. Rego center mall a very cool and nice place to shop at .it is not big by any means dont get me wrong .but it serves it purpose for residents in queens and in the rego park area. In queens we don't have alot of shopping centers to go to. But if you want a place to shop at and dont want the hassle of the really big malls this might be the place for you. From having Costco's a super store that you can buy in bulk and wholesale and they have some really nice jewelry and electronics. So many different foods and cakes clothes you name it ,but you must be a member to shop there I think the membership is $40.00 a year. And I believe this is one of maybe a couple of Costco in queens. So that is a plus for rego park residents who don't want to go out on the ilands or to Jersey to shop at Costco or go to next one in long island city,to buy wholesale .you also have century 21 and kohl's. Red mango....cinnabon. Then if you are hungry you can stop off at 2 of my favorite restaurants over there Miller ale house, and BBQS all in the same place awesome right. This place will give you the big mall experience with out the big mall hussle and bustle .dont for get about the famous Panera bread .there are not that many Panera breads In queens . And you can't forget about auntie Anne's my top pretzel spot in queens and in NYC hands down. There pretzels are the best hands down. From the cinnamon pretzels to the plane with the cheese sauce. So so soft and warm!!!.and the smell of these pretzels are unbelievable. They have become the top place in nyc to get the best pretzels from. The old street pretzels vendors are finished. Rego Center or as I call it, Rego Park Shopping Center, has gone through its ups and downs over the years. We loved to shop here years ago. Stores started closing at one time and we stopped coming as often. Currently things appear to be picking up in the shopping center and surrounding neighborhood. We may need to make another visit soon. It's definitely a huge space to get some exercise when you are wandering around looking at everything! It's makes for a nice day long trip out of the city. read more

This is a nice change of pace. We have Queens Center and Queens Place and they've become mundane . No one likes going there so to have an outdoor mini mall is appreciable. What I love about Rego Center is that is open, airy, and spacious. There's a handful of stores that If I lived in the area I'd frequent them daily. This mall offers department stores such as Burlington, Century 21, Kohl's, and Pier 1 Imports. There's an Aldi supermarket. Women's, mens's and children's apparel. Great location near major transportation hub. Convenient spot for quick shopping for food, clothing or home items. Only bit of nuisance is there's no parking outside. The parking lot prices are very reasonable though. There's metered parking outside, but always congested parking. read more

Everything is convenient and it was not too crowded but I went on a Thursday. I parked in the street but they have a parking lot. Why do I come to Rego Center? At first, I came because of Costco. Friend had membership and got to see this place. Prefer Costco in LIC- they have free parking lot. At this location there is metered parking for 2 hours or pay at the lot. Watch out for pedestrians crossing the street in the middle of the road on Junction Blvd. Now, I come because of Panera as well as enjoy the outdoor shopping area. Check out the beautiful flowers and plants. Lots of sitting area outside of Panera and on the other side there are benches. Rego Center is refreshing and another area where residents can shop aside from going to Queens Blvd. There is something here for the whole family here. Will be back to check out Kohls, Ulta, and Century 21. read more

Great shopping mall right in Queens that is one of the best part areas to get to whether you are driving or using the subways or buses. Plenty of parking on site, although there is a parking fee according to how long you park. TJ Maxx, Century 21, Aldi's, Toy R Us, Costco, to name a few. Groceries: Aldi's (What a great store!) and Costco, eateries (chipotle, panera...), discount brand name stores (Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Century 21), cheap basics store (Old Navy), Bed Bath, skin care store (Ulta), PetCo, a toy store, a department store (Kohls) and more. On one hand, Rego Center reminds me of all the chainy businesses I don't want in Queens; commercialism at its worst. Yet on the other I understand it fits the needs of a lot of people in the area. Teens who need a place to hang out, adults who want the American surburban mall experience,. Parking is a crapshoot. Street parking is next to impossible because the traffic is perpetually bad around it. And the aggressive folks in the parking garage mean that people are circling the lot forever ... and have to pay for it. read more

Overcrowded place to come for shopping. The center has popular shopping shops like Costco, C21, and restaurants. However, because it is overcrowded it is very very hard to find street parking and private parking. I believe you will waste approx. 10-20 mins finding a parking spot. Else, it's an ok place to spend time shopping and dining. read more

I love Rego Center especially since it's within walking distance to my house. The variety of stores in one area is great. However, if you're here on the weekend it can be a madhouse. My favorite stores are TJ Maxx and Century 21. If you can get here early you can take your time in peace and enjoy some shopping without the crowds. There's parking for a fee and the train and bus are within waking distance. There are several spots to enjoy some good food. My favorites are Dallas BBQ'S or Miller Ale house for something affordable. The center is always clean and well maintained on the outside. read more

Best part is the Costco. Parking is $2 for the first hour or so, and the machines are always incredibly slow to pay, and limited locations. Also, they redesigned the parking lot downstairs so that it fits a few more cars, but makes it far more crowded and less good on the flow. And people always park on Junction Road to wait on picking people up when they're not supposed to.... would love to see a meter maid working the scene. The ToysR US, Red Mango and other shops are ok, though entry is wide-open (it's not an enclosed mall), so be prepared in adverse weather to hunker out in the store a bit. That being said, a lot less messy/crowded than the Queens Center just across the LIE. read more

You either love Rego Center or just think it's "OK" - there's no in between. I usually only visit here for the Costco and sometimes Century 21. I do like the more upscale feel of this shopping center. It doesn't feel very much like a mall which is a positive. If you arrive here by car, be prepared to pay for parking. There is also a parking lot across the street from the center if you do not feel like navigating a crowded and intimidating parking lot. This shopping center does offer a variety of stores so if you need anything from beauty products to groceries, this is your one stop shop. If you plan on coming here on the weekends, be prepared for long lines and a crowded parking lot. I recommend coming here on the weekdays to save yourself from the crowd. read more

It was a bitter pill to swallow, to realize that even if I could fit my ass into one of the kiddie rides, I might end up like Peirithous. So Rego Center, you lose one star for teasing me. Then what's up with the scary, narrow escalators, that seem to ascend to the air? Riding them up past the second floor is extreme sports for me! And even if acrophobes like me take the elevators, we still have to walk the "pedestrian bridge" Lose another star. And you don't have enough benches during peak and the architecture seems jarring. Lose another star. Still, during the spring you have beautiful plantings, you have Costco, Aldi and other retail discounters, making for many hours of shopping if one wants. And you are accessible by mass transit. Gain back a star. read more

I definitely come here on a weekly to semi weekly basis cause they got it all- Ulta Beauty, Panera, Dallas BBQ, Century 21, Pier 1 etc.. you get the picture. One thing to keep in mind that this place is crazy on the weekends so beware. They have a Costco on the basement level and packs of families arrive to stock up on items so you already know its gonna be Moma, Poppa, the kids, Aunts, Uncles the Grandma and Grandpa rolling through just to do one shopping trip! So if you are adverse to crowds come early in the morning and/or during the weekdays before 5pm. Other than that who can beat this place? Connected to the original Rego Park Center where Marshalls, Bed Bath & Beyond, Old Navy and Sears, the new addition in the back (where I presume most shoppers come to the place are interested in) is a great convenience in the heart of Queens' main thorough-fare. Come here to stock up on your favorite items and score a deal. I can't see anyone leaving disappointing. read more

I like this shopping center. They have a good select variety of stores. Century 21, Costco, TJ max. I've been to the century 21 and its not as big as the one in Westbury but it works. I don't like the paid parking here or the fact that driving to the 3rd floor takes more then a few minutes, but I do like the mandated system of having to pay with a debit/credit card for the parking slip (because I never have cash). There's also a cute outdoor seating area, and you can't beat the view of queens from the 3rd floor! read more

Today, I headed to Queens Center Mall's little brother. Aesthetically, this mall looks nice. However, it's not a good idea to have an open air mall in a northern city with brutal winters (this concept would've worked well in Los Angeles). Costco has that unfair policy where you have to pay for a yearly membership to shop there so I skipped that. I stopped by Kohls. All of the stuff there was blatantly overpriced. Next, I perused Toys R Us. They have a decent amount of toys. Obviously, the Times Square Toys R Us has a larger inventory. Since I'm a 27 year old male with no kids, I had no intention of buying anything. I was just looking around. I then stopped by Century 21. Ironically, Century 21 had the same stuff as Kohl's, but at more reasonable prices. I bought a Perry Ellis button down shirt (that I intend to wear on New Year's Eve) for $25. There's a Subway, Dallas Barbecue, and some other restaurants that I forgot at this mall. Burger King, McDonald's, Pizza Hut, and White Castle are within walking distance of this mall (you can also dine at Queens Center Mall, which is a 10 minute walk from this mall). This is not a hangout mall like its big brother. It's a "buy what you want and leave" mall. The only reason I gave it a 3 was because of Century 21, but this mall is a semi-disappointment. read more

I prefer Rego Center over Queens Center... as Angel H. said, it is the close-out capital of Queens while Queens Center is more a of a teenage hangout. Come here to shop for all of the aspects of your life. You could spend an entire day (and maybe a few week's worth of pay) here and go home with everything from clothing, toys, and electronics to bulk items like furniture and family sized portions of detergent to, etc. Hungry? No worries, my friends. From lunch to happy hour to dessert to late night-style Halal, Rego's got your back. There is a parking garage that connects both the new (C21-Costco) complex to the old (Old Navy-Sears) one. I like the stores in this mall. It has a T.J Maxx, Century 21, Kohl's, Ulta Beauty, Panera Beard, Red Mango, Costco and a couple of other stores. This mall is just a short walk away from Queens Center Mall. For the first time in 10 years I finally find a mall that has chairs where you can sit and relax. I deduct one star because the parking machine doesn't work at times. A couple times going to the Costco floor of the parking garage, the machine wouldn't take my ticket. Also, I hate it when shopping carts would block some of the parking spaces. read more

The open air structure is a hit-or-miss for most people. Fortunately for me, it's a hit. It's playful and modern with escalators and wide (empty-ish) staircases. The ground floor has a lot of open seating from chairs and tables to benches. I like how you can peer over the railings from each floor and look up/down. Panera's Bread, Red Mango, Century 21, Kohl's, TJ Maxx, Costco, etc If you walk down a block, there's another building with Sears, Marshalls, and Bed Bath and Beyond. (to name a few). Elevators and escalators for the three levels. Elevators can be crowded because of Costco shoppers -- they hog everything up! It's a nice place to hang because there are a lot of benches throughout, so if you grab some hot dogs or pretzels or Red Mango, you can sit outside and eat if the weather permits. Can get crowded and busy, with shoppers and families. Of course worst on weekends. I noticed that this center, in spite of getting busy, never looks trashy or dirty. Looks pretty clean and well maintained. There's a parking lot, with reasonable rates. The trains and buses are within decent walking distance, but not super close. So if you're buying a ton, it can be a pain. I always see a ton of car services or taxis to pick up shoppers. read more

This is just a stone's throw from Queens Center Mall....about a 5 minute walk for me. I walk fast and take the shortcut. :-) They have Toys R Us, Marshall's, BB&B, Payless, Dallas BBQ, Costco, Aldi's, Century 21, TJ Maxx, Burlington Coat Factory and lots of other crowd pleasing offers. I've been coming here since before they added the 2nd section and now with that 2nd section it's made it even more fun for me to shop here. It's a really nice mall that when combined with Queens Place and Queens Center, makes this a must be place to shop. read more

Boo... I was so excited for this mall!! A bunch of major discount stores in a clean newer space. Unfortunately these were all bad imitations of their name brands. Dusty, dirty, disorganized, crowded and unfriendly. :( All the fluorescent lighting gives me a headache and makes me nauseous! Potential positives: I haven't been inside this Costco, which may be this center's only saving grace. I love Costco! There is a Panera too! The broccoli cheddar soup bread bowl is delicious. There's a Red Mango, but I'm skeptical because they tend to be inconsistent. The C21, TJ Maxx, and Kohl's here are all TERRIBLE. Also you have to pay for parking. Disappointing. read more

Not only did the Queens Center Mall and Queens Mall get renovations in the last 10 years, but with the addition of the Rego Center, the Rego Park area is really a place that is happening! The Rego Center contains stores such as Century 21, Kohls, Marshalls, Old Navy, Costco to name a few. In addition, they have a Dallas BBQ, Red Mango, Panera Bread and Subway on the ground levels! It's a great place to shop, since food isn't too far away. Just a word of note, if you drive, it's best to park in the mall lot (rates vary by time) instead of circling forever to look for a spot. It's usually very congested with traffic so circling usually can take quite awhile. read more

Along with Costco and some food options like Dallas BBQ and Panera Bread, it's a quaint mall with just enough stores and people that its not overwhelming like larger malls. Great add to the community and nice family atmosphere in this area. Definitely plenty of options for shopping. Only setback is paid parking either in the mall or across the street.
