The parking isn't available on the steet. Once I got there, I was greeted with a cool vibe. There is a space where a class offered on Web Developper. The place also has a bar, plenty of seats and tables available (in the form of sofas or chairs) and there is a private working space with a chair and table that is covered in glasses. It is a pretty neat place to hang out. The location isn't the most ideal but it is perfect for a small intimate conference. Overall, it is definitely a place where people can work on their cool project.

It brings together investors and young start ups into one beautifully renovated expansive building, with shared kitchens, event and demo spaces, lounges with video games, etc. Right now it feels bright white and a little hushed as people just begin to claim the various available corners, drag chairs around and make themselves at home. But you can feel the optimism bubbling even in the empty rooms, like the ground floor restaurant space just waiting to flourish with the right kinds of love. There will be green roofs and shared garden and many many more hackathons and new ideas and encounters to come and I can't wait to see all what happens here at the new Notman!

Feels like a chill industrial warm creative cafe but with a difference: No bill at the end for sharing the space. I was there for a meeting today and just loved the vibe. Members of the coop can have official desk space in the big bright back area lined with windows where lots of socially minded businesses are hatching plans to save the world. In the front rooms, open to all, there is a big communal table and lots of smaller cafe tables, a free mini library, and other techy cool projects by members - like the Manivelle touch screen that connects you to the digital archives of Montreal's libraries! There is a side area with a stage and sound system, perfect for presentations, readings, etc. There is by-donation coffee, and a volunteer receptionist chilling and answering questions. There is an overall vibe of people caring for each other and getting shit done. C'est great.

I booked through their website and it was pretty seamless - I forgot to indicate the date I needed a private office in the comments during my purchase, but I shot an email over and got an answer within seconds that my office was booked and all was well. I was warmly greeted when I arrived and actually given my choice of rooms while we chatted about my needs for the day. After hearing that I'd be recording an interview Marie-Laure from the Espace Coworking team actually came to find me to see if the construction noise she'd noticed was a problem and to offer me yet another option. This was super thoughtful and really made my day productive and successful. The offices are all bright, clean, stylish and just a little cosy. The views are wonderful. I watched falcons play in the thermal wind currents around the mountain through my windows all day long. Relaxing and inspiring. There are comfortable spaces for meetings of various sizes - maybe max 12 people? - and the hot desk area seemed quiet and functional, I'll definitely take advantage next time I just need some super solid internet and cell reception and a place to get some focused work done. There is also a well-equipped, very clean kitchen with a seating area and a Keurig coffee machine. This is my one tiny comment - I think with the planet in a plastic crisis, if you're going to use a Keurig, I think it would be great to use the biodegradable cups. It breaks my heart to see the pile of plastic in the garbage. Small stuff but it adds up ya know? Anyway, I had a great experience. Marie-Laure shot me an email after I left just checking in to make sure everything had gone smooth. The personal touch plus the professional ease of the space make it a coworking I'm so happy to have access to up north. I'd love to see this group expand the concept into a couple other towns in the region, like St Jovite, Val David, Ste Agathe, and to build relationships with small business councils in the area to really help emerging businesses in the region!

Looking around, the decor and layout was so beautiful. I thought, ok there are many people here so the drinks and offerings must be amazing. Once I ordered and got my brown sugar oat latte, I realized that it was just a plain old latte. Although the interior is absolutely stunning, their drinks are just fine and the crowds are too darn big. There are numerous places in Montreal that have great coffee with a significantly shorter wait time.
