Having a bunch of quality items for sale is the second. Third I would guess is the ability to bring in more items and run the pawn side of the business. This place was doing well on the first two steps so far as I could tell. They had a basic outdoorsy gear for sale at prices that were reasonable and not outlandish. This includes camping, hunting, fishing, knives and all kinds of jewelry/coins/currency etc. You know the typical pawn shop stuff. What set these guys apart was some of the kewl items for sale that you don't find everywhere... For example my daughter was amazed by the thousand dollar bill in the glass case. She didn't believe me that it was real US currency but slowly became convinced. It was definitely a fun moment for me to be able to teach her something and share a few stories about those bills that I know. Overall this is a handy place to go check out. What else is nice about it is that they have a gas station with a C-Store attached. So you can grab an energy drink, fill up the tank on the vehicle, drain your own internal tank, grab a $1000 bill and hit the ground running a few minutes later. =)

I worked in retail for 8 years... 2 young high school or college students were working here today. I was greeted by a quite hello and then just stared at. I gathered about 5 things to try on...after about 15 mins of holding my items one of the girls asked if I wanted a fitting room. While I was trying things on I really needed another size in a jacket and definitely would have purchased it however, no one came by to ask me about sizes, how I was doing etc. I went back to the rack with the jacket to see if they did in fact have the jacket in another size but had no luck. I think the customer service in this store, especially with the location needs a bit of work.

There is a huge selection of fun stuff that if I had more room in my carry on, I might have went hog wild. What didn't help was that I came here in November so there were Christmas things for sale already and I love good Christmas decorations. The store is also fairly large so you can roam and take a look at a lot of different things. There are also quite a few entrances/exits, which seemed odd for shoplifting reasons but I appreciated being able to walk out onto a different side of the street. I will say that stuff was super pricey in here, but if it is mostly hand made by artists, I understand. I also live in an overpriced tourist city, so I understand the mark up. I will say that I thought the staff was a bit aloof. Like they didn't care to answer any questions or make any conversation, or even say hello. That was fine. I like being left alone when I shop anyway. Aloof is fine but rudeness isn't. When we left one of the employees was super rude and slammed the door on us (someone else had left it open and she thought it was us so she said something and slammed the door) so that left a bad taste in my mouth but I will say this store is still pretty cute and I'd come back.
