Soccer fields had lines and goals were in good condition. The only issue was with the swampy puddles near both goals. I'm guessing it's likely a drainage issue. Overall a good experience. read more

Awesome, large, park with plenty of parking. Also, fields are very well maintained. I grew up playing all different types of sports here; all were very well organized. The community center staff are also very nice and welcoming and always helped me with any questions I may have about programs or sports. I really like this park. I hate not being able to give it a 5 star rating but it's not quite up to par for such. The park itself is fairly large for the area. They have a lot of events that happen here for the children as well as adults. One has plenty to choose from as well since they have a soccer field, 3-4 baseball/softball fields, swimming pool, 3 tennis courts, two play areas for kids, and a few other things. This review is based on my visit there for my son's baseball game. My son plays travel and this was my first time to this park. Not from this area, but have watched games at several parks throughout the IE. I've got to say that this is the cleanest, most manicured, and has one of the best layouts of those we've played at. Baseball Fields: I believe there's about 5 fields that are large and well-kept. Fields #1-2 are closest to the main entrance and first parking lot on Orange. Field #3 is closest to the second entrance and lot on Orange. It also is accessible to the bigger kids' playground. Field #4 is more accessible to the northeast parking lot located at the end of an access road off of Orange. Field #5 is closer to the first parking lot off of that access road. The other fields have bleachers, but Field #4 has these wide concrete steps used as bleachers. So you may want to bring your foldable chairs. Each of the fields are readily accessible to restrooms that are decent. Not much shade, but plenty of seating area from little tables and concrete planters. Lots of open space for pop-ups and chairs. Covered Picnic Areas: There are two areas. Both are closer to the access road off Orange. One of them is closer to the pool and bigger kids' play area and the other one is right next to the toddler play area. The park has tennis courts, basketball courts, a large open field (soccer), and a pool. Great facilities! Local eating areas: Local eateries to the park are about a mile west on Orange and north to Market. That's downtown Riverside. There's a Starbucks, Subway, Baker's, Farmer Boys, and Jack in the Box. read more

I understand some empoyees are paid and some are Volunteers but there are some flaws within the District 24's Reid Park little league. Parents who are trying to make it in our economy should be aware of these issues: -$92 fee that suppose to cover everything in the season besides personal gear allowing your child play the season. Only some parents are allowed payment plans. -Multiple fundraisers. If you do not comply your child will will not participate next season. -1 practice a week maybe 2. City of Riverside informs president of field conditions, who then informs coaching staff, who then lets you know the day of practice the very last minute... The work and family schedule will become extremely difficult. - Unorganized Game times. - The snack bar is organized, fair and reasonably priced. Close to the end of the year our teams head coach had left the team and taken the kids team money for their end of the season pizza party and supplies. Over 2 months We reported it to President Mike Vargas in hopes to get it back. I've called him constantly but he never returned our calls for weeks and he didn't seem to be concerned to give the kids anything. Showing minimal regards to the children. I took the matters to RPD/ Facebook/ and the Press and informed them of the situation. After 2 months I got fed up and had to copy and paste this review along with my child's ball picture on the little leagues Facebook page. Then and only then I was immediately called by the leagues president "Mike Vargas" he then informed if that the things that "he didnt appreciate us doing and saying and we should be VERY careful" I showed no regards and continue to ask for the teams money informing him of the flaws of the program and how unacceptable it is to not follow up with the kids. I can honestly say that if I wouldn't have done what I did, the children still wouldnt have received anything. Update* July 22nd 2018 our money was returned and we had our pizza party for Spring ball at John's Incredible Pizza. read more

Beautiful park. Lots of grass area for kids to run and play in. The picnic areas are nice and roomy. Great shady play area. This is a great family spot and plenty of soccer fields and baseball diamonds. read more

They have this awesome dance room you can rent for parties it. Ones with a great kitchen and tables and chairs. It's way cheap and the staff is so helpful and kind. Great way to have a park party without dying in the heat. read more

This is a beautiful gorgeous park. I grew up right up the street from Reid Park and have so many fond memories of playing basketball, flag football, and baseball here at Reid Park. Good times. Good times. The park is beautiful. They have expanded the park as well with huge baseball fields, tennis courts, etc. The soccer fields are also very nice. They have really done a great job updating the park. All in all the park is outstanding. read more

Out of the way, hidden gem of a park. This park has swing sets, playground equipment, shaded tree area, bathrooms and drinking fountain. Lots of parking, grass fields and lots of benches for resting. read more
