I waited a long time because if I have an issue with a service I don't think I need to make a federal case out of it. But this doesn't just affect me. This business is overcharging on a regular basis. First time visit Along with dry cleaning, I drop off a couple shirts and say, "Laundered with light starch please." When I pick up the clothes, the price seems high and I ask about the individual costs. When she tells me, I say, "You mean laundered is the same price as dry cleaning?" She tells me that they were dry cleaned and I say, "But I asked for these to be laundered." "We go by fabric," she tells me. I walk out and then back in. "If you have some rule, you've got to tell me. You can't just switch the order." Which, btw, doubles the price. "You can call the owner." I do. It's a man named Karl. Okay, I'm a little preachy. "I've been using dry cleaners for decades, my whole life. My job required five laundered shirts plus dry cleaning every week for many years. I've used full price cleaners and discount. I've lived in different states. No one has ever changed the order, upped the price and not even bothered to tell me both before and after." "Well, I don't know about your twenty decades.' He meant years for multiple decades. "But we go by the care label. We've had people say it's okay, and the shirt is ruined. How much money are we talking about?" Karl says. I say, "My cost is nothing, maybe $8-10 dollars." I'm not calling about that. It's the way they're running their business that I want to bring to his attention. He calls the store while I'm there. The woman admits to not telling me that they would switch the order or that they did switch the order. He refunds the cost and tells me to find another cleaners. Plus, he says that he doesn't like my tone. Then I send him photos of the care label. . He makes no comment. His store is dry cleaning in bumping up laundry to dry cleaning. It's not just me. This is their rule. I've washed those shirts a dozen times at different places. No one questions the order, and there has never been a problem. read more

I will never return to Reid's after my first experience with them. I dropped off a queen size bedspread and was quoted $56. Within an hour, I received a text saying the price would be $64 for a king size spread. I called them immediately and told them to check the size because it is a queen size. When I picked up the spread yesterday, I was charged $59.59. I questioned the price and was told they increased all their prices (in a week). read more

I handed over a dress w/ a strap not attached + a pair of Spandex with a hole on the butt! (After YEARS of wearing it, the seams got loose, I guess!) The First Time I went to pick up the items, the shorts had a HORRIBLE look. So I asked them to redo it. The Second Time, it's as if the hole was NEVER there! Just a Harry Potter Scar! It was Perfect! Have always been pleased with the dependability of Reid's since they opened their Georgrtown location, but an employee recently failed to honor a coupon that we received online, which was disappointing. Then I emailed them regarding my concerns, but received no reply. Dropping off dry cleaning one more time this morning, then we'll see if they honor current coupon. YES, THEY DID! HURRAY! read more

Never going back to Reid's Cleaners. Brought in a shirt for cleaning, and got back a different shirt that was ripped and they said it was rejected for being in poor condition. That wasn't the same shirt I brought in! Clerk insisted it was mine. Don't I know my own shirt? Made 2 attempts to contact the manager. Never got a reply. They used to provide great service but at a slightly higher price. Their pricing jumped 20% and their service has dropped dramatically. I get my shirts folded every single time but because they were "too busy" they came back on hangers. The clerk did remove the folding fee but the premium they charge is not worth it. Over$10 to dry clean a blazer and $3.55 to launder a shirt, this time. Prices are not posted and vary from week to week. You never know what will be charged. . I brought an expensive drape panel in that had dog pee on it. I brought in a bag. They called to say they couldn't clean it and sent it back but it reeks of CAT pee. I don't even have a cat. Ruined. And poor response from owner read more

Over two years of being a customer here, never an issue. The staff is nice and the cleaning is top notch. The parking lot can be crowded at times but there are several spots nearby worth your time so it's rarely ever just one stop for us. read more

Dropped off 18 pieces last Thursday. Went to pick up on Monday. There's only 17 pieces and a missing shirt. She says she doesn't know where it is or what happened. I have no idea which shirt of my husbands it was, so she wants to take my phone number and give me a call when she can call their cleaning store to find out about a missing shirt. I told her to please call the store right now while I'm there. She did and they couldn't find anything. Give my phone number to call me when and if she can locate the shirt. I will let my husband know to come by after work so he could maybe identify it. Less than two minutes after I left she called me and said she found the shirt at their store that I just left. So I came back in the store. She showed me the shirt that had a slip of paper attached that said rejected. I saw a tear underneath the collar. She says that this wasn't their fault as it never left the store. I told her that wasn't our fault and why didn't she give us a call immediately when they found this instead of waiting till pick up and making excuses and me leaving the store and all of a sudden she find that missing shirt. She completely denies any wrongdoing. Why would we bring in a Joseph a bank dress shirt with a tear under the collar. Completely dissatisfied with the situation and the deception and lack of integrity. Will go back to our old cleaners in round rock who are extremely professional and always corrected. From the husband: The response that we got from the owner insinuating that I was trying to do something unethical and immoral shows exactly why we will no longer do business with this company. He even had the nerve to text me and try to pick a fight to get me angry. He even researched my background and made a comment about where I used to work. I could take this as a threat showing me that "I know who you are!" That is completely unprofessional and unnecessary. If you try to contact me or my wife again I will contact a lawyer to pursue litigation. We stand our ground on this post. Completely unethical and unprofessional by this sad situation. Most ethical cleaning companies call you ahead to let you know if there's an issue with an item. You didn't. read more

My wife made a complaint on yelp about the poor customer service we received on our last dry cleaning at this store. The owner's response, in addition to posting her name so everyone could see who made the complaint, was completely over the top! What kind of a response is 'sometimes you need to fight fire with fire?' The fact that he continues to state that we were trying to do something unethical and immoral shows exactly why we will no longer do business with this company. He even had the nerve to text me and try to pick a fight and tried to get me angry. He even researched my background and made a comment about where I used to work. I could take this a threat because he clearly was telling me 'I know who you are!' This is completely unprofessional and unnecessary. I will keep a record of those texts forever.
