Ther are many, many other things I could mention. The project took over eight months instead of the four promised, with work gaps of days and sometimes weeks. I met with the PM three times to create a timeline, but they fell behind every time. The only reason he gave was schedule conflicts with other jobs. One positive: Guillermo and Jose were responsive and fully guaranteed their work. They made sure I was satisfied with the end product before ending the project.

We had an agreement that he should factor everything into the cost, so that he won't ask for any extra money later on. After I made the full payment of about $60,000, Alex started behaving strangely. Him or his employees would show up only for a few hours sometimes, no call or show for weeks at times, intentionally delay the construction etc. And when I politely asked him why the construction was taking so long to complete, Alex responded with angry outbursts, and ask for extra money. Each time the price would increase. First it started by him asking me for tips, then he would ask for extra $100 etc. Eventually, he started demanding to be paid $7000 extra even though we have fully paid him the $60,000 that we agreed on from the beginning. When he had these angry outbursts he would insult me using the words, " You're so stupid", " fuck you"... etc He would also falsely accuse me of things that I didn't say. I would like him to screenshot whatever he's accusing me of and post it here for everyone to see. I have posted some of the screenshots of the insults that he sent me. When he demanded the extra $7,000, I asked him to send me bill that detail what he is charging me for, but he has refused to do that. He knocked down my 2 windows connected to my house and refused to seal them up. So, this creates a safety hazard. I'm writing this to warn potential victims. Please make sure you hire a lawyer before you entrust him into doing any work for him. He does seem nice, please don't fall for that. I read the good reviews on this page about his company and believe them. He told me that he was going to complete the project in 02/2025... It's 05/06/2025 and he hasn't completed the construction. In April we gave Mr. Giles over half of the money up front for the metal roof and within a week he had our old roof removed, however it was over a month before the new roof was installed. Almost 2 weeks after our roof was removed we received over 2 inches of rain in a short period, you guessed it....ceiling in dining/kitchen area collapsed ! There was water, insulation and sheetrock covering the floor.....a big mess! Now we had no roof and the ceiling was gone in that area of the house. We received only excuses which were all lies.....still no roof ! We covered the area with sheets until our roof was finally installed several weeks later. The roof looks terrible and till this day has not been finished. On 4/24 he was to begin our remodel which would be completed in 90 days according to our contract. In that 90 days he did some demolition, some electrical and some plumbing, however a lot of the work was very poor and we are having to have redone. Nearing the end of our 90 day contract I requested to have a progress Inspection completed, it showed that 3.46 % of the remodel had been completed! At this pace it would take over 7 years! It was 90 days of hearing excuses and lies as to why he was not farther along. As you can guess he is no longer our contractor, it was time for us to find an honest and competent contractor. If you are considering hiring this company please think twice, check the company and Robert Giles out thoroughly.
