My first experience with reiki was on my birthday with Julie Svoboda. Julie was professional, communicative, nurturing, hygienic & kind. I'm giving 2 stars because Julie is obviously a nice person. But as far as energy healing it's a 1 star for me. I got absolutely nothing from this appointment -during or after. I'm intuitive myself and I've had some healing energy sessions in the past, but this experience was not good. There was some noise from inside the building which made Julie uncomfortable - me too, but Julie was obviously put out by it and had to go say something to someone outside the room during our session. As a HSP I became even more aware of it because of this. I felt that Julie was uncomfortable during our session, constantly swallowing and uneasy, so I became on edge. I hoped that I'd get some benefits after the session - but nothing. I was then disappointed to receive an email asking for a 5 star review in exchange for a future discount. I absolutely hate to see this, because then I question every review I've read and feel like I was lied to by reviewers/people like me. I really wonder about all of these excellent reviews here. My experience was completely opposite. Again, Julie seemed lovely, but the session was a total waste of time, money and energy for me. read more

I have taken Reiki I & II as well as the Reiki Master Training and the Online Upgrade (to be able to teach and attune remotely) through Julie at Reiki Says Relax and these courses have genuinely shifted my whole life in really beautiful positive ways. Some background first: Like Julie, I also am a Reiki 3B. I have been a healer since 19-mumblety-mumble. I have my own form of energetic healing based on Kaballah and the Tree Of Life within you. But I had an impinged shoulder shoulder for weeks that was not responding to physical therapy. Julue and I were at the same psychic fair (Boeing Expo in Kent WA - I was reading, not healing; I was in no shape to heal.) I asked her help for the shoulder. She has a very gentle touch. I usually experience Reiki as different vibrations, depending on the symbol(s) employed. But this time felt intense heat. I have felt that heat before, but not from Reiki. Before the session I could barely and painfully raise my arm almost horizontal, no more. Ten minutes after the session ended, I somewhat painfully moved my arm fully vertical. That had not happened for ***days***! I know a lot of topnotch healers (and belueve myself to be among them). Julie is the equal of any of us. How impressed am I with Julie? I had never tried reiki before and was referred to Julie by my brother and sister-in-law. I'm very attuned to my body and do yoga, accupuncture, reflexology, chiropractic and massage regularly to stay aligned and physically healthy. After experiencing a week where I was stuck in looping, worrisome thinking, I craved a practice to focus on my energy. Wow--the immediate sensations I had in my body during my reiki session with Julie were profound. Intense heat and the movement of light lasted almost the entire session. She had prepared me for the fact my busy mind would become still, and even though my brain wanted to form random thoughts during the session, each thought dissipated one by one, leaving me with sensation and light. I was completely unprepared for the physical impact her work. It felt like I had an intense massage or acupuncture treatment....and she barely touched me. And the two days following the session I was lighter and more productive because I wasn't notably looping or stuck. I truly enjoyed Julie's manner of communicating and her nurturing during my visit.
