Over the phone and through the photos I sent, he was able to assess that the repairs needed were relatively minor. He therefore recommended that one of his employees could do the repairs. He then contacted me that same day, arranged to come by after his normal work hours on Monday to assess what was required. He had some excellent suggestions for how to repair the damage including adding some new flashing in areas where water was damaging the fascia boards under the roofing. He completed the work Tuesday and documented everything with photos. So a super quick resolution with high quality results.

Daniel repaired the vents with a heavy-duty sealant/cement. He thoroughly scraped off the old, flaking sealant. He also installed an L-shaped, roof-to-wall flashing over the existing awning flashing -- the entire length of the home on one side. That eave area is now completely covered and I think it would be impossible for it to leak outside or inside the home -- so long as it stays in place. Daniel installed it with a special flashing tape and then covered it with sealant. Daniel has a strong "work ethic," a rarity nowadays, and I am thankful that he has opened a business in Yuma. The job took 4-days, really 3.5-days with the first 0.5 being a crew who peeled off the old shakes the first day and some supply delivery. 2nd was delivering more supplies, checking for dry rot, replacing as needed, and starting the plywood, and waterproofing. 3rd was shingling and gutters (separate crews), 4th finishing everything up including painting the vents to match with the new roof.
