The shop is one of several spots in the city with a legitimate pizza oven brought in from Italy, and they don't bs with their mozzarella options. The other dishes were fine, but I'd honestly just stick with the pizza because it is so bomb. I can't go past my second hand counting off the number of pies in New York that I'd prefer over the pizza here, and most all of them require long waits. I'm also confident calling this the best pizza in the country despite n = 4. Hot oven + bufala + proper dough recipe = something special. Never fails. Look if you love and appreciate Neapolitan pizza this is the spot! Don't be like the British couple across from me and complained that the middle of the pizza was 'wet' and proceeded to use their napkins to sop up the sauce - how disrespectful!! Food so superb, we ate there 3 nights in a row!!! Carlo opened the restaurant just 10 months ago and is already one of the top rated restaurants on TripAdvisor. Located out at the harbor he is putting out the best pizza this side of Naples. The pizza is a result of a special oven from Naples, extremely skilled pizza chefs...Salvatorre and Umberto, and passion for food that is apparent when you sit and watch the food being prepared and served. One of the best things to do is to ask Carlo what fish came in that day and then have it fixed by his wonderful chef...Cosimo. Make sure you have the focaccia right out of the oven, unbelievable!! It is not often that we have a chance to run across a restaurant that not only fixes superb quisine, but also makes us feel like we are at their home, eating. Drop by and mangia. read more

Solid Italian food right near the water. The pizza is the real standout, paper thin-crust authentic stuff, lots of fresh ingredients available. This is the fork-and-knife type pizza for my American friends. Service was prompt and very friendly. Pizza, gnocchi and two glasses of wine was only about 27 euro, so a bargain and well. Fantastic. Wonderful. We stumbled on this Italian restaurant on the way to the beach and I ended up having my favorite meal in the city here. We got there just in time to be seated immediately before a waiting line quickly formed Food: 5/5 Drinks: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambience: 4/5 Food: I had the mixed seafood linguini, which comes wrapped in a chocolate drizzled paper bag. It was as delicious as it looked. The mussels, lobster, squid and other marine lives in the linguini were made to perfection. I requested that it be made spicy and the chef obliged. Drinks: My group asked for a pitcher of sangria and the new bartender wanted to show off with a special secret sangria recipe. He took a risk and succeeded. We quickly downed out pitcher of tasty sangria. It is a pity that I can not replicate that sangria anywhere else. Service: The servers were attentive. The chef came out to ask us how we liked our food. The bartender was on hand to receive feedback on the secret sangria recipe. Service was super. Ambience: We sat outside and had a good time watching the tourists & locals walk to/from the beach. I would have preferred some shade but I may be asking for much. First off, I want to say they make awesome pizzas. Probably one of the best I've ever had. The owner is super nice and impressionable. He told us that his recipe came directly from his family's home recipe Italy. I believe him. The restaurant is a small place across from the beach. They have outdoor seating and a few indoor as well. The inside is pretty small so unless it's bad weather, I would definitely sit outside. We went simple and got the margarita pizza to share between two of us. It was about 12 inches. The crust was SO thin and because of that, I could have definitely had another couple of slices. We still were comfortably full from it though. While I was waiting for the pizza to come out, I was eyeing our neighbor's dish. It was a pasta dish with HUGE shrimp on it with what looked like a creamy tomato sauce. The shrimp was still in the shell and looked so good and fresh. Looking back, I wish I had added it to our order. *cries tears of regret* Ok, back to the pizza. They make their pizzas in a brick oven which is always nice. It's in the front of the restaurant by the door versus the back, so you will walk past it if you needed to go back to the restroom. Actually, you can see the chef, all the ingredients, and the oven from the outside seats. Another plus. I always like a show with my meal. The pricing is really good, too. I expected it to be more expensive since it's so close to the beach, but our pizza was only 10 euros if I remember correctly. My coke, on the other hand, was very expensive. Like, 4 euros for a small can. But, I had to have it. I would totally go back if I'm ever in Barcelona again. read more

This was a terrible place. Ordered the pasta carbonara and Margherita pizza. The whole pizza came with 3 leaves of basil and the carbonara was not only scrambled but the bacon was undercooked. Definitely regrettable and passable by all standards. If you have the opportunity to go anywhere else, please do. I will never regret more wasting a meal in Barcelona than I did at this garbage place. Throw a rock and you will find better food. Not to mention the service was the worst. The greek salad we ordered was excellent too, probably because they make all their cheese in house! In Barcelona it seems that every restaurant is "tapas". We got tired of tapas & looked for pizza. Reina Margherita is a tiny place, but we got seated right away (and by the pizza oven, which was warm and toasty on a cold day). Our server was so nice and efficient, and we got to banter with the cook (who would not let the trainee get away with serving a product he didn't approve of). The pizza was PHENOMENAL. Some of the best I've ever had. We had the Margherita and the Diavola which was spicy pepperoni. To die for. A big plus was these Italian guys were way friendlier than any of the local people.
