Please take the time to read, as this may be quite lengthy…read more I know the nature of doing business is trying to make a profit, however, based on our personal interaction with Paul, you would never get the impression that making a profit was what mattered. He made it abundantly clear that you and the loss of your beloved pet is what mattered. We called to seek services and without even hesitation or the mention of packages and pricing, all Paul wanted to know was "What was her name." Not in a way to write up a form, but in general interest of wanting to know what important pet has left your family. My family has been in animal rescue for years and no one has ever taken that caring approach on wanting to know about the pet first. What was she like, how she mattered to you and her importance in your life. He made you feel like you indeed are dealing with a loss and it was definitely significant. Upon meeting him, it was understood why. He had a dog, Brady, that was his whole world. This dog travelled the nation with him and was his companion for years. He was known in the community and was very beloved. Sadly, he passed away and Paul knew first hand the great loss it weighs on the heart. He took that loss and somehow translated into being able to comfort those during their sadness and making them feel like they are not just a transaction. He sympathized, because he felt that pain before. He understood, because he has been there before. And for some, these pets are their whole world, and he has known that, because he had Brady. This is the kind of care that you want handling your cremations for your fur babies. You want someone who will cradle them, as they carry them away from your car and you want someone who hands you back a beautiful urn with a lovely wildflower seed heart to plant, so that the love continues to live on. I do not say this lightly, but if you are in your time of despair due to pet loss... Paul is the best person to handle your cremation needs. Thank you Paul.

So it's obviously an emergency when you visit MedVet and this was the case when I brought my 10 1/2…read moreyear old MaltiPoo baby in last weekend. I didn't have an appointment or anything last Saturday but had a feeling that my doggie needed to be seen. As soon as I walked in the door, the person at the front desk called someone to come take her back and assess her vitals- before I had even completed any paperwork. My dog was clearly in distress. By the time I had filled out the "paperwork" that was sent digitally to my phone, I was advised that my dog was receiving oxygen and was feeling better. That brought me so much comfort. I was advised from the beginning that emergency care would not be cheap and was willing to pay the $189 (approximate) cost of an initial examination. I was fairly quickly given a private waiting/exam room and a very kind, intelligent doctor informed me that they wanted to do further Xrays on my dog because they suspected there were heart issues involved. I was informed that it would be approximately $700 extra and agreed. While it felt like a long wait, realistically it wasn't and I received the news that my little dog was suffering from a collapsed trachea and congestive heart failure. This was not easy news to receive but the vet was both compassionate and direct. My visit was approximately three hours, which I believe was reasonable under the circumstances. My dog was prescribed medications that brought her pronounced comfort. The final bill was roughly $850 but I am grateful that my dog has responded well to the medications and seems to be doing well. I was further impressed that MedVet communicated with our primary vet and there was seamless follow through. I am very grateful for all that MedVet did to care for my dog on a weekend. Some random photos are provided below to give you a sense of the atmosphere and mission of this important organization. Highly recommend!
