After having 12 other cats cremated over the last 25 years, I can tell you that I was impressed with their service and very reasonable prices. They don't take advantage of grief like others local places seem to do. Most of the time, I just had the service that the vet office used, but when the price was around $500 was quoted when I made the appointment for Oscar, I decided that I had time to look around because I had a few days. I found them and they were local so I called them after seeing their website and the prices. I got someone who had lost their beloved pet and got into the business because of the charges other charge. I let them know who Oscar's vet was and they told me that they have picked up from them before. The vet office had no problem and since I had to go in after work, they could pick Oscar up quickly. I picked up the ashes but they will deliver them also. You can even drop off your pet. They explained everything and even made extra copies of nose print and paws prints for Oscar's other mom. All for just under $200. Since I just adopted a 17 year old cat, I will probably need their services again. I will use them gladly. read more

We had a very disappointing experience. I made the arrangements in person, paid, and dropped off our kitty (to be cremated later that week). The next day, a different person called asking for more money. I explained our conversation the day before, but he refused to honor it. While grieving our precious kitty, we had to deal with this. My German Shepherd Sasha passed away at 5am Saturday morning. I called and talked to Bob. Normally their hours of operation on Saturday are 10am to 12pm. My daughter drove in from Grand Rapids and wanted to go with me to take Sasha. She did not make it until 12:30, but Bob stayed and waited for us to arrive. This is our second time relying on Pet Passages to help our family through the toughest part of having a dog. Our Rocky died at home from an enlarged heart. Bob Sutton was quick returning my call and set up an appointment for the next day which was New Years Day. Bob showed us great compassion and he handled Rocky with care. If your fur baby is sick and you just need some support or have questions, give them a call. They can also offer referrals to veterinarians that will come to your house to help your baby cross the bridge, OR to bring your baby there when it's time, it does need to be scheduled out a day or two, but it is NOT like going to your vet. Pet Passages is wonderful. I was so heartbroken when I found that my beloved treasure......Hercules had passed away, unexpectedly (old age). I did not know what to do with my special boy, so I began looking at what my options were, I knew I did not want to bury him, I did not want to go to the vet or humane society. I found many facilities which offered cremation, but frankly, some were quite rude! The one that stood out for me was Pet Passages in Livonia. I called them, and Bob spoke so kind to me, he took his time with me, even through the sniffles and the tears, he offered to come and pick up Hercules for me, but I was not ready to let go just yet, I told Bob I would call back and he told me that would be fine. I spoke to other providers, but no one felt right, and no one was as kind as Bob, I knew I found the right place for my beloved Hercules. I took Hercules up to Pet Passages about noon that day and they greeted me with warmth and compassion, they led us to a quiet room, with a big pillow/cushion for Hercules, and they laid my boy upon a soft blanket and covered him as well, Royal Purple.....my boy looked so warm and comfortable lying there. We sat with Hercules for a while and when we were ready we let the staff know and we made the arrangements. I have my beloved Hercules back today (he was taken in Monday and returned Wednesday morning) and I truly know that I did right by my loyal companion, I have no regrets. I own other animals, and I will turn to Pet Passages for all of them..............hopefully not for many, many years. Also - on the financial end of this story.....this is very affordable, I have mementos that will last my lifetime and beyond. Bob and Pet Passages helped me when I really did not have any idea what to do to help my suffering sweet dog.We live literally less than a block away from a training Vet facility.We have been taking all our pets here for years. During the epidemic we were not able to make appointments for our dog to be treated for her sudden health crisis.They gave us a recommendation to go to Emergency Vet service in Lincoln Park.Waited hours in our car to be seen and never were.Came home.Hours later they called to see where we were.Our Ruby was vomiting and defacating in vehicle.She was so sick and uncomfortable.We took her back up to Emergency Vet in the Evening.Waited hours again.They came and got her.Diagnosed her with after much testing and imaging with heart failure and end stage renal ."Take her home and make her comfortable " Watching her suffer and not knowing what was next was so difficult. This is not a review a human ever wants to write. Yesterday was the most heart breaking day of my life. Bob came through first thing in the morning and took such great care of our biscuit. He showed compassion knowing how difficult it was for us to speak or make decisions. He wasn't pushy with up selling. We requested the whole package for our best boy and it was very affordable. Even though it wasn't offered I did request a nose print. Biscuit is a hound dog after all. Bob was more than happy to do that for us. The process was very easy to track on their web site and to our surprise we were able to bring biscuit home that afternoon. Everything came back beautifully done. Wendy and Bob at Pet Passages are great! We lost our fearless and all mighty protector last week. I had talked to Bob who is a kind gentle compassionate soul and arranged the pick up of our beloved after he passed at 12:30am. During this covid 19 crisis we lost our Cat of 15 yrs. not knowing what to do at 4:30pm on a Tuesday. I called up Pet Passages. Bob was wonderful, told us to come on over with our cat. Once we showed up he had a room ready for my family to say our last goodbyes. Bob was very understanding and made us feel at home.
