I decided to actually drive by the location on Monday November 30, they are closed on Mondays. I went today Dec 1 since they are open and no one answered the door. I called again and left a message on the machine. So far I have called 3x in 2015 to book an appointment and no one has called me back. I feel I have wasted my money on this groupon. I see great reviews on Yelp but am unable to get an answer from anyone who works here. I wanted to come here because it is so close to my house but I am so disappointed on the lack of professionalism and follow up. Why hasn't anyone called me back? I don't even want to go anymore, I am just going to get my money back from groupon because I am tired on trying to chase this business for their services. I wrote the initial review on top and received a rude message from the owner (On the screenshot below). Regardless of how much I spent on the groupon I am still a customer, a paying customer. I am so disappointed in the lack of customer service. I have never met Monica but she lacks the skill set for a successful business owner because she refuses to admit her fault. She doesn't return phone calls. I read another 2 reviews saying the same thing. I only wish I read the reviews before wasting my time and money (how ever much I spend). Even if there was an appointment option on the website, why do you have a business phone if you don't answer or return phone calls? I actually wanted to see if my groupon works and if it didn't, I would have paid for the services. Furthermore, I am still shocked by her response. It amazes me how someone can lack the skill of servicing others while working in the service industry. If she only sent a note explaining why she hasn't returned my calls or a simple apology. I would have re-written the review and I'd be a returning customer if she meet my expectations. But..Monica couldn't do that because clearly she cannot admit her fault. The worst part is my review is staying up on Yelp along with Monica's response for whomever to see.

Shappell was very thorough during the massage. ***however, upon reflection and discussion w a massage therapist friend on mine, I have concerns re consent in the following instances. 1. She told me that she would leave the room for me to undress but did not. 2. She told me to undress to my comfort level, which for me was top and bottom underwear. She then promoted me to remove my bra. 3. She used cupping without asking me before hand or instructing me as to why. Cupping obviously leaves marks on my back which I did not anticipate having following my appointment. This hasn't been a part of deep tissue massages I've had in the past at other places and this was the first time I'd ever have it done. 4. She took pictures of my back after the cupping which I did not consent to her taking. I would not have known she did this had she not shown me afterwards. I hope she has since deleted them. I drove over 45 minutes for this appointment, only to be handed additional paperwork when I arrived that had never been mentioned beforehand. I was asked to provide my ethnicity and a copy of my driver's license before they would see me. None of this was discussed when I booked the appointment. Had I known in advance that this information would be required, I could have made an informed decision before making the drive. When I questioned why my race was necessary for what was supposed to be a simple facial -- not surgery -- I was told they "needed to know my race to determine my skin type." That explanation did not sit well with me. Skin type can be evaluated professionally without reducing it to race. Because I was uncomfortable with the additional undisclosed requirements, I chose to walk out. Transparency matters. If certain documents or demographic information are mandatory, that should be clearly communicated before taking a deposit and having clients travel significant distances. Unfortunately, this experience left me disappointed and frustrated.
